- Cary Odell was born on December 20, 1910 in Indiana, USA. Cary was an art director and production designer, known for From Here to Eternity (1953), Cool Hand Luke (1967) and Seven Days in May (1964). Cary died on January 19, 1988 in San Luis Obispo, California, USA.
- Started as a sketch artist at Columbia in 1935, before promotion to art director. Remained with Columbia until 1962, usually with Rudolph Sternad handling many of the studio's prestige films.
