Biography:

Greg O'Connor has composed scores for over 30 television series and has written over 1000-featured songs for TV, films and commercials. He is a Primetime Emmy winner and a four-time Emmy nominee. He has scored projects in every genre including variety, single camera comedy, multi camera comedy, animation, one hour drama, game show, sketch comedy, award show, stand up, reality, hidden camera, documentary and virtual reality.

Greg most recently composed the score and songs for the Threshold Entertainment film drama My Home Unknown, the documentary feature Baby Boomer Yearbook for director Randal Kleiser and the animated feature film Bobbleheads The Movie for Universal Pictures. Greg co-wrote the featured "Laura Dern" song for the Film Independent Spirit Awards that instantly went viral, and was featured in every major publication and news outlet. He composed the main title theme for the Disney + series Prop Culture. Greg composed the company logo music for House of Paine Entertainment for Academy Awards producer Rob Paine and the logo for Threshold Entertainment for producer Lawrence Kasanoff.

Greg wrote opening theme songs for the ABC series Greatest Hits, produced by Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich as well as the theme song for the series Gay Skit Happens with two members of the Grammy winning vocal group Pentatonix. Greg scored the science fiction thriller virtual reality (VR) series Defrost, directed by Randal Kleiser.

Greg wrote and produced two songs, "Someone Needed Me the Most" and "Firecracker" for the legendary band Chicago on their latest BMG album with founding band member James Pankow. Together, they also wrote 2 Billboard AC Top 20 Chicago songs, "The Only One" and "Show Me a Sign", as well as the song "Here with Me" for the Chicago album "Stone of Sisyphus." Greg produced songs for the Barry Manilow album "The Greatest Songs of the Eighties" as well as Barry's hit Christmas single "Christmas is Just Around the Corner."

Greg was the composer, songwriter and musical director for all 15 seasons of the hit sketch comedy show MAD TV, David Alan Grier's comedy series Chocolate News, Jeff Foxworthy's variety show Blue Collar TV, Bob Einstein's series Super Dave Spike-Tacular and the hidden camera series The Jamie Kennedy Experiment. He was the musical director and composer for the ABC reality competition series The Next Best Thing. Greg scored the ABC Aaron Spelling cop drama 10-8. Early in his career, he wrote the score and songs for the Emmy winning sketch series The Ben Stiller Show and The Sunday Comics on FOX.

Greg has written and produced many featured songs for films including My Home Unknown, Bobbleheads, Hoovey, A Sunday Horse, The Greening of Whitney Brown, The Poker House, Lego: The Adventures of Clutch Powers and the animated Lionsgate movie Foodfight. Greg composed the theme song for Will Sasso's Ten Minute Podcast as well as The Caliendo Cast for actor comedian Frank Caliendo. Greg also composed the Ruddy Morgan Entertainment logo music for Oscar winning Producer Al Ruddy.

Greg is a graduate of The University of Notre Dame in music composition and theory as well as the graduate program in Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television at USC.
