Lifetime films traffic in a certain kind of narrative, namely infidelity, deception, dark romance, and occasionally murder. Tall, Dark, and Dangerous tackles at least three of these qualities, which is appropriate given the film is set partially around Valentine’s Day, a holiday ripe for sensational, slightly ridiculous narratives.
Following an underwhelming opening sequence in which Mercedes (Griselle Escotto) is menaced by a man on the phone before her house is broken into, the main narrative introduces quintessential Lifetime protagonist Alice Miles (Jamie Bernadette).
Alice is smart, wealthy, and, most importantly for Tall, Dark, and Dangerous, bad at relationships. When the film opens, Alice is promoted to partner at her law firm by her boss Ed (Eric Roberts), something her overly invested Woc work bestie Jane (Alana Walker) wants her to celebrate. Considering the rapidly approaching holiday and Alice’s lack of personal life, Jane boldly forces Alice to “shoot...

One week after the anticipated season 11 return of Vanderpump Rules, Tom Sandoval will mark his return to the Lifetime cinematic universe with a movie that — like his Bravo unscripted series — focuses on a relationship marred by deception.
On Thursday, Lmn (Lifetime Movie Network) announced its upcoming slate of original films for the first three months of 2024, including Tall, Dark and Dangerous, set to air Feb. 8. Sandoval appears in the thriller that debuts just one week after Vanderpump Rules returns with the continued aftermath to the Scandoval controversy, which centered on last year’s revelation that Sandoval cheated on longtime partner Ariana Madix with Raquel Leviss.
Tall, Dark and Dangerous is a Valentine’s Day-themed movie about Alice (Jamie Bernadette) realizing that Chris (Matthew Pohlkamp), the seemingly perfect guy she met on a dating app, is not the person he seems and actually stole the identity of his former roommate, played by Sandoval.

“People ask me, where are all the great exploitation movies today? The low-budget horror films? They’re on the Lifetime Network!” Shudder’s horror host Joe Bob Briggs once said, and he’s not entirely wrong about that. There’s plenty of entertainment value to be found in Lifetime’s particular brand of thriller, and a new year brings along with it a brand new slate.
Deadline reports on Lifetime’s Quarter 1: 2024 slate of original thrillers this afternoon, which promises fourteen brand new thrillers premiering here in the early months of the year.
Here’s the full lineup of Lifetime thrillers in the first quarter of 2024…
Dying For Fame (January 4 at 8pm Et/Pt). Starring Dylan Raine, Amelie Anstett. A career-driven tabloid reporter Anna (Raine) is assigned to write a profile about popular influencer Juliet (Anstett). During their time together, Anna discovers that many of Juliet’s fans aren’t real.

To anyone who’s studied Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead, their connection to jazz was unmistakable: From their own onstage improvising to collaborations with Branford Marsalis and Ornette Coleman, the Dead clearly saw jazz musicians as simpatico. After stealing the show in the first series, Jessica Lange is back taking centre stage as twisted nun Sister Jude. A woman of stern faith (and fan of corporal punishment) she is grappling with many un-nun like demons of her own. With a fondness for red lingerie and fantasies about Monsignor Timothy O’Hara (Joseph Fiennes) could this role land her with another Emmy? Our money says yes. It would have been impossible for Mark Harmon to have been born anything less than gorgeous. His father was University of Michigan football All-American and Heisman Trophy winner Tom Harmon. His mother, Elyse Knox, was an actress and artist. With this combination of looks, beauty and brains, he couldn't miss. Thomas Mark Harmon was born September 2, 1951 in Burbank, California. He has two older sisters, actress and painter Kristin Nelson, formerly married to singer Ricky Nelson, and Kelly Harmon, actress-model who was once married to auto magnate John DeLorean. Mark attended Los Angeles Pierce College, then transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles where he became the starting quarterback for the UCLA Bruins football team in 1972 and 1973. He received the National Football Foundation Award for All-Round Excellence in 1973. In his two years as quarterback in coach Pepper Rodger's wishbone offense, UCLA won 17 games and lost only 5. He graduated from UCLA with a B.

It’s still Thursday for another couple of hours where I am, so it’s time to remake an 80s classic TV show or movie with an all-new cast. This week: Square Pegs, the 1982-3 CBS high-school comedy. Predating John Hughes’ take on teen life in the 80s, this was one of the most depressingly -- and most hilariously -- realistic depictions of adolescence in the early part of the decade. The original cast included: Patty Greene: Sarah Jessica Parker Lauren Hutchinson: Amy Linker Marshall Blechtman: John Femia Johnny “Slash” Ulasewicz: Merritt Butrick Jennifer Dinuccio: Tracy Nelson Vinnie Pasetta: Jon Caliri Muffy B. Tepperman: Jami Gertz This was so 80s that it would be tough to actually update this for the 2010s (which is when this would end up landing, were production to start now) without killing everything that made it so wonderful back then. Maybe it could go all Brady Bunch Movie on us,...
