Largely self-taught Italian-born composer and pianist, a charter member of ASCAP in 1914. Long in Hollywood, notably as a writer of songs for Bing Crosby (he worked on seven of his films). His popular songs include "You Made Me Love You", "Crazy People", "I'm Making Believe", "Once Too Often" and "Sing A Song of Sunbeams".
