It seems every actress in the 90210 is getting invitations to join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with two empty spots still open amid Annemarie Wiley and Crystal Minkoff’s departure.
Two new names have recently been tossed into the ring as possible replacements for the newly fired Housewives.
Tisha Campbell and Melanie Griffith have reportedly been asked to join the franchise, but are they interested?
If so, the Rhobh cast will be overrun by actresses as the pair would join former child star Kyle Richards and actress and producer Garcelle Beauvais.
That’s not all, Denise Richards has her sights set on returning to the franchise now that Lisa Rinna is no longer on the show.
Back in March reports claimed Og Kyle wants Hilaria Baldwin — the wife of actor Alec Baldwin — on the show, but Rhobh fans were outraged by the suggestion.

An alpha male human trafficker, who possesses the worst qualities a man could have. It’d seem Byron Stallings could be Andrew Tate 2.0 if only he started a podcast of his own. In Apple TV’s Sugar, Stallings is one of the bad guys who’s involved with Olivia’s disappearance. We’re first introduced to this gang leader when he comes looking for his confidant, Clifford Carter. Stallings is your usual crook who accidentally made it big in the crime world, and it’s evident from his actions. He’s mostly driven by his raging bull-like instincts, and even though he tries to act smart, you know that his bald head only stores two functional brain cells.
Spoilers Ahead
Why was Stallings looking for Clifford?
Stallings shows up at Teresa’s apartment after Carmen’s death. Stallings’ goons take her kids away, and he threatens her into giving him information on Clifford’s whereabouts.

A former rock star turned junkie, who eventually became an activist for women’s safety in abusive relationships, Melanie Mackintosh in Apple TV’s Sugar is one of its most significant characters. As a fan of The Office, seeing the adorable Holly (Amy Ryan) play a layered and solid role is always delightful. Melanie is the ex-wife of Bernie Siegel and the last person who saw Olivia before she disappeared from the face of the earth.
Melanie is a woman who knew success from a young age and then fell off the tracks as she grew older. One can imagine that marrying Bernie Siegel definitely put some of her prime years to waste. Now Melanie finds herself an alcoholic who starts drooling when she sees Sugar for the first time. After a night of constant drinking, Melanie invites Sugar back to her house. She thought the dynamic would be different,...

Spoiler Alert: Do Not Read If You Have Not Seen Tonight’s Episode 6
The Apple TV+ series Sugar has been teasing a big reveal coming up.
Sugar revolves around John Sugar (Colin Farrell) a private investigator hired by Hollywood titan Jonathan Siegel (James Cromwell) to investigate the mysterious disappearance of his granddaughter, Olivia (Sydney Chandler).
Tonight, the big secret that Sugar held was delivered at the end of Episode 6. Colin Farrell’s private investigator character was revealed to be an alien.
There were hints. Sugar said earlier in the season in an aside to Melanie (Amy Ryan) that he processes alcohol 50 times faster than others. In another segment, he admits to her he has a “big secret.”
Executive producer Simon Kinberg spoke to People that those hints were part of a “continuous modulation of different ideas.”
Other networks and streamers had big concerns over the twist when they were pitched the show,...

This post contains major spoilers for the Apple TV+ series "Sugar." Like, truly gigantic spoilers.
The internet has been humming with potential theories about John Sugar (Colin Farrell) and his real identity for weeks, but the newest episode of "Sugar" confirms one of the biggest guesses that's been floating around for a while: Private investigator John Sugar is an alien.
"[Character] has been an alien the whole time" is right up there with "[character] has been dead the whole time," or "this entire show has been a dream" in terms of the most paradigm-shifting, world-shaking reveals a television series can execute, but shows rarely have the audacity to provide their audiences with such a massive misdirect. The last time I can think of a show pulling off a twist this big was in 2017, when "The Good Place" revealed that its characters were actually in the Bad Place for the entirety of season...

Plot: A deaf and mute warrior (Bill Skarsgård) raised by a mysterious shaman (The Raid’s Yayan Ruhian) attempts to topple a repressive regime.
Review: Last year, Bill Skarsgård played a suave villain in Keanu Reeves’ John Wick: Chapter 4, but notably stayed out of the action scenes. Had the movie been released after Boy Kills World, I think the part would have been radically reimagined, with the actor putting himself through the kind of physical transformation that changes careers. Watching the hulking, 6’3 actor blast his way through opponents in Boy Kills World, it’s hard to believe that the same guy, just a few years ago, was best known as Pennywise the Clown. Indeed, Boy Kills World is the perfect launchpad for Bill Skarsgård to become a major action hero (it bodes well for his next film – the remake of The Crow).

It star Bill Skarsgard is out for revenge in the action thriller, Boy Kills World, which just reached theatres today (April 26th). Whew, it’s not even May, and the cinematic “body count” rises up considerably with another lone, determined warrior facing nearly insurmountable odds. I suppose this is more of the “John Wick” effect, as filmmakers try to “up the ante” and deliver a flick with near wall-to-wall frenetic action. So far this year we’ve gone from the spy showdowns of Argyle to the avenger of the elderly The Beekeeper, and winding up a couple of weeks ago with the manic Monkey Man. For this week’s thriller we’re sent to a near future time in an exotic foreign land as, in a nod either to old Variety newspaper headlines or the beloved ABC Tgif sitcom, Boy Kills World.
And it is a nasty dystopian world for the preteen boy (Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti), who is being trained in the jungle by the surly, “slave-driving” Shaman (Yayan Ruhian). And...

You’ll almost immediately feel the vibes through the first two acts of Moritz Mohr’s Boy Kills World. Mohr’s film is a bloody, vicious kick to the solar plexus. The script drives its foot into the wound and then keeps applying pressure, almost as a way to test the audience’s resolve.
That’s where Boy Kills World may come to a crossroads for its viewership. Either you will embrace the sudden acute aggression, pressing the foot on the pedal, or you will border on torture porn violence. Or be so turned off by it to the point of completely giving up on Mohr’s film.
As for me, I’ll take Mohr’s blood-spattering dose of glorious, gory, comic carnage that would make Jackson Pollack jealous.

A lot is going on with Sugar Season 1 Episode 4 from both perspectives -- Sugar's identity and the case he's trying to solve for the Spiegel family.
Answers are not coming as to why it appears the two are wound together, although Ruby continually raises the point.
Sugar isn't the only one who wonders why she keeps conflating the two.
Sugar finally went to see Dr. Vickers as Ruby had asked. Although he's given a clean bill of health, Vickers asks about nightmares and drug use, feelings of despair.
This is all attributed to whatever secret identity they all share, and it also indicates that they know something they're not willing to share with Sugar.
While it could be easy to get frustrated by how little is revealed in that regard, understanding the character of John Sugar is more important.
To that end, we already know that he's not a drug...

Beyoncé recently turned a lot of heads by releasing Cowboy Carter, a tribute to cowboy culture. Before then, Madonna had a cowboy era of her own. Interestingly, both of these career evolutions have different meanings.
Madonna and Beyoncé are part of a tradition of pop stars going the cowboy route
Cowboy Carter is a tribute to Black cowboys and their sadly ignored role in the Old West and their presence in Western culture today. By releasing the album, Beyoncé is making a turn toward country music, as well as placing herself within a long tradition of pop artists who drew from Americana imagery. For example, before Cowboy Carter, Lil Nas X combined country and trap music with his cowboy-themed megahit “Old Town Road.” He later released a remix of the song featuring 1990s country star Billy Ray Cyrus.
In 2000, Madonna released her last big album: Music. The cover of the...

As is the case with many series that drop on Apple TV+, conversation surrounding Sugar is practically nonexistent, save for a few old Reddit threads.
Those still commenting on the most active of those threads, as well as some Facebook folks we found commenting on the Sugar Series Premiere review, aren't that excited to be here.
Is it the genre, the storytelling, Apple TV+, or a combination of all three?
Part of the problem is that somewhere, some time, Apple TV+ promoted Sugar as a sci-fi show.
If you've watched through Sugar Season 1 Episode 3, then you may still be asking how that fits. But at least "Shibuya Crossing" offered a few strands of evidence that suggest this isn't just another Pi tale.
It is a sci-fi show.
On Sugar Season 1 Episode 1, the narrative direction took great pains to remind you that what you're seeing may not be relevant to the story as a whole.

Ruby’s still against John taking on this case, and John doesn’t know why. He admits to himself that it might be because of his shaking hand and bad dreams. However, he continues to tell himself he’s fine.

As Apple TV+’s Sugar episode two opens, John Sugar (Colin Farrell) admits his investigation into Olivia Siegel’s disappearance got off to a rocky start. John is taking a swim in the hotel’s pool while collecting his thoughts and working through what he’s learned about Olivia. He stares at the moon (something we’ve noticed he frequently does) while confessing he knows he’s good at what he does.
A short while later, he meets with Bernie Siegel (Dennis Boutsikaris), Olivia’s dad. Bernie’s a movie producer, just like his father (John’s current employer), but definitely not in his father’s class. A short while later, he meets with Bernie Siegel (Dennis Boutsikaris), Olivia’s dad. Bernie’s a movie producer, just like his father (John’s current employer), but definitely not in his father’s class. Bernie cuts to the chase and reveals he’s sure Olivia will return on her own at some point, ready for rehab again. Bernie also reveals he’s aware John met with Melanie Matthews,...

It’s become a catchphrase these days to compare TV to cinema.
Showrunners, stars, and producers often say their work is a long-form movie, as if being on TV is still somewhat taboo despite the soaring success of the medium.
Whether it’s big action, adventurous character arcs, or unbelievable cinematography, some people still find it hard to believe TV encompasses what once made film so unique.
Film stars and directors have flocked to the small screen to take advantage of the generosity of storytelling available, to see characters come to life with every human nuance available.
Experimentation exists on screens, both small and large, but on TV, you can make a different show every week or grow from one genre to another within the same season.

Before his mid-career upswing — starting either with “The Lobster” or “The Beguiled” and running through recent scorchers like “After Yang” and “The Banshees of Inisherin” — it’s worth remembering that Colin Farrell used to make bad movies, too. Now, his hot streak includes an Oscar nomination and a successful blockbuster franchise (soon with its own TV spinoff), but back then, for every “New World” and “In Bruges,” there was a “London Boulevard” and “Dead Man Down.” “Disappointing” may be a better descriptor of his star-forming era, with the “Total Recall” and “Fright Night” reboots, as well as earlier flops like “Alexander,” “The Recruit,” and “S.W.A.T.” But no matter how you remember them (if you remember them), Farrell’s early career offered uncertain quality. Of course, TV fans needn’t be reminded that Farrell’s charming Irish talents have gone to waste in projects unworthy of his efforts. We shan’t...

Before we see It star Bill Skarsgard get revenge in The Crow remake this June, we’re going to have the chance to see him get revenge in another action thriller, Boy Kills World, which is set to reach theatres on April 26th. Produced by the legendary Sam Raimi, the film marks the feature directorial debut of Moritz Mohr. It was scripted by Arend Remmers (Sløborn) and Tyler Burton Smith (Kung Fury: The Movie). The story takes place in a bizarre, dark dystopian universe and centers on a deaf and mute character, Boy (Skarsgård), who navigates this depressing world with his otherworldly imagination.

Everything old is new again when it comes to TV detective shows. First, Natasha Lyonne did her best Columbo on Peacock’s quirky Poker Face, then Clive Owen resurrected iconic gumshoe Sam Spade on AMC’s sleek Monsieur Spade. Now Colin Farrell is taking a shot at the old-school private eye game with Apple TV+’s Sugar — and what do you know, this one works, too. A stylishly shot throwback to classic film noir with lean and mean storytelling and smart and lively dialogue, Sugar (premiering Friday, Apr. 5; I’ve seen four of the eight episodes) doesn’t attempt to reinvent the wheel…...

Structurally, it was a brilliant conceit having six of the seven episodes of the “Apples Never Fall” limited series (currently streaming on Peacock) revolve around a different family member in this twisted jigsaw puzzle of a mystery. Score one for showrunner Melanie Marnich, who had a lot of bitter-tasting family dynamics to work with in adapting Liane Moriarty’s (“Big Little Lies”) page-turner novel. It’s about the tennis-obsessed Delaneys, who unravel when matriarch Joy (Annette Bening) suddenly disappears and hot-tempered patriarch Stan (Sam Neill) becomes the prime suspect in what eventually becomes a murder investigation.
As a result, their four adult children — Troy (Jake Lacy), Amy (Alison Brie), Logan (Conor Merrigan-Turner), and Brooke (Essie Randles) — are forced to confront their dysfunctional upbringing, competitive natures, and toxic relationships in realizing that they function more like a South Florida cult than a loving family.

Everyone has done jobs they're not particularly proud of in their past. For actors, any of these past works are in the public eye, even if some go on to be largely forgotten. This includes the fan-favorite horror genre, from cheap, grindhouse and direct-to-video schlock to big-budget misfires. Beyond the quality of the movies, some actors just didn't have particularly pleasant experiences behind-the-scenes, leading them to distance themselves from their projects after completion. Every actor has a handful of films that they wish they hadn't signed on for, and with the benefit of hindsight, several have gone public with their regrets.
From established genre icons disappointed at their respective franchise returns to newcomers trying to get their start, horror has no shortage of movies Hollywood stars want off their resume. In a particular instance, one actor's horror movie experience led them to not only regret their participation, but quit acting altogether.

Snowpiercer has had quite the ride—and it’s not over yet! The drama, which aired for three seasons on TNT and had filmed a fourth before it was canceled in January 2023, has been saved. (Season 3 ended in March 2022; Season 4 had been picked up in July 2021.) Now, just over a year later, AMC Networks has acquired the drama from Tomorrow Studios, with the first three seasons set to stream on AMC+ later this year. The fourth, which has yet to air, will debut in early 2025 on AMC and AMC+. Snowpiercer is set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland. It centers on the remnants of humanity who inhabit a perpetually moving train, with 1001 cars, that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice, and the politics of survival play out in the adaptation based on Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette’s graphic novel and Bong Joon-ho’s film.

As the 50th anniversary of Woodstock approached, in 2019, I set out to find Melanie, the folk singer who shot to prominence in the late 1960s. I was curious to know how someone once so famous — known so widely that a first name alone would do — could now be so, well, not famous? Watching an early appearance of Melanie on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson only left me more intrigued about her ambivalent relationship toward fame: How could the same person be so confident and charismatic behind a guitar, but so diffident and uncomfortable chatting with Carson? I reached her by phone in Nashville, where she graciously reminisced on her Fellini-esque beginnings in Europe, and the out-of-body experience that changed everything for her: her solo performance on the first day of the Woodstock music festival, August 15, 1969. “I thought this is the end of my life.” In fact, it was just the beginning.
