Wrestlemania 40 is just around the corner, and the schedule for the showdown has already taken shape. It is the grandest event in the world of professional wrestling, and the stage is set for this year’s championship.
The event will hit a special milestone this year, as it will be celebrating 40 years since its inception. Held annually, Wrestlemania has boosted several WWE stars to greater fame. This year, the stakes are even higher, with Dwayne Johnson and his cousin, Roman Reigns. Moreover, if rumors are to be believed, some of the biggest names are set to take them on.

Donald Trump and Vince McMahon came head-to-head in WWE in what was dubbed the ‘Battle of the Billionaires’ at WrestleMania 23. Trump was a familiar face at WWE matches, but he never appeared in the ring until 2007. During Raw’s Fan Appreciation Night, Trump played the people’s champion when he showered money down on the fans like confetti. Thus began a rivalry storyline between the two which resulted in the 45th American President slapping McMahon on the face.
Vince McMahon and Donald Trump had a go at each other several times on WWE
At WrestleMania 23, both Trump and McMahon agreed to send their proxies to fight it out in the ring. McMahon chose the Samoan wrestler Umaga while Trump picked the relatively new Bobby Lashley. Donald Trump’s appearance in WrestleMania 23 boosted the show’s pay-per-view buys.

The Nintendo 64 is a difficult console to judge. While well-regarded in its time, the system endured plenty of struggles. Sticking with cartridges while the PlayStation embraced CDs drove developers away, and many gamers who grew up on the Nes and Snes also flocked to Sony for a new generation of more mature games.
But more than 20 years after the last official N64 release, the console still has a devoted fanbase who not only go back to classics like Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, but also underrated gems like Mystical Ninja starring Goemon and Snowboard Kids. If you’ve read up on the N64, you probably know all about the ill-fated 64Dd add-on or that Final Fantasy VII was initially slated for the consoles, but these are 15 things about the N64 you probably never knew until now.

Leave it to Snoop Dogg to emerge as the Most Valuable Performer of WrestleMania 39.
During a weekend that saw World Wrestling Entertainment set a two-night attendance record for their signature event, the company on the verge of being sold and Roman Reigns remaining the undisputed champion, the iconic rapper stepped up in an emergency.
Snoop Dogg was co-hosting a segment between matches on Sunday at SoFi Stadium with wrestler Mike “The Miz” Mizanin when he goaded Mizanin into an impromptu match with Shane McMahon, who made his appearance at a WWE event for the first time in 14 months. McMahon and Mizanin traded punches before McMahon tore his quad when he did a leapfrog maneuver while trying to avoid Mizanin.
Doctors checked on McMahon before he was helped out of the ring. Snoop Dogg then came back into the ring to continue the match, as he punched “The Miz” twice, then...

Snoop Dogg’s title as the “Doggfather of WrestleMania” remains in good standing after he stepped into the ring on Sunday at WrestleMania 39 in Inglewood, California. WWE 2K23 features quite a few improvements to the franchise formula that will certainly be welcomed by wrestling game fans everywhere. Of course, some things never change, which means that WWE 2K23 still makes you unlock quite a few wrestlers via gameplay accomplishments and by spending both real and virtual currency.
The very good news is that WWE 2K23 makes the various unlock processes fairly painless. The problem is that the game doesn’t always do a great job of telling you exactly how to unlock those wrestlers or the best way to go about acquiring all of them. Hopefully, we can help ease that part of the unlock system just a bit.
How to Unlock Every WWE 2K23 Wrestler With Virtual Currency
The vast majority of wrestlers in WWE 2K23 are unlocked via the game’s Virtual Currency (Vc) system. Every wrestler available via the in-game store costs 1,000 Vc to unlock.

In the midst of huge news regarding the release of Aew stars Cody and Brandi Rhodes, Stone Cold Steve Austin returning, and The Undertaker going into the 2022 Hall of Fame, was one of the biggest shocks of the year: Shane McMahon quietly being released from WWE. It’s an odd situation because the son of Vince McMahon was featured in the 2022 Royal Rumble and actually made it into the final three. Reportedly, there were plans in place for Shane to have a high profile match at this year’s WrestleMania, which is nothing new at this point. Instead, claims have

After a few disappointing events from WWE, the company heads to the Middle East for the first time in over a year. Emanating from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Crown Jewel came with an absolutely stacked card, however the Saudi Arabia events often come with a fair share of controversy. And they often seem to be the times when WWE pulls some of their worst booking decisions or puts on matches that result in disaster. That said, there have been shows that have come off well (if flawed), like 2018’s Greatest Royal Rumble or Crown Jewel 2019, so could this super scaled show in 2021 dig WWE out of its major rut of late?

It seems that every year we go in to the biggest WWE show of the year bemoaning some lacking build-ups or facing constant internet pessimism but there’s something so magical about this event for fans. So, as we give it another go in Tampa Bay at the Raymond James Stadium (the venue meant for last year), the fans have returned and “WrestleMania is Back in Business”. And once agin we have two nights of action, with the second looking more stacked but the first featuring a historic main event. There were a lot of hopes, a lot of speculation and as we will soon find one hell of an unexpected heel turn by mother nature. What better way to mark my official first year of WWE Roobla reviewing! This is WrestleMania baby, there’s lots to get through, so let us not waste time…

Welcome to this week’s Monday Night Raw review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Woody Allen creeps me out. Blagaingo! This is the final show before Starrcade. I love Starrcade. The 1980s are a sterling time in wrestling. You get the best matches from all corners of the National Wrestling Alliance. Greg Valentine, Roddy Piper, Nikita Koloff, Dusty Rhodes, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Magnum Ta and Ric Flair are some of the biggest stars in wrestling. The Road Warriors and The Steiner Brothers battle The Midnight Express and The Rock N’ Roll Express for tag supremacy as Jim Cornette falls fat-ass first from a scaffold every week on TBS Superstation. We have MTV and steroids and f—ked-up hair-styles and Traci Lords (who is at least 18 for sure), all of which will last forever and never lose their luster. Cobra is the greatest movie ever made.

Stamford (the US), Nov 23 (Ians) Wrestling legend The Undertaker has laid his stellar career to rest with an emotional farewell at Survivor Series.

Steve Austin’s WWE interviews have, at times, been a mixed bag, but most of them have offered some unique insights and entertaining moments, especially those with Vince McMahon, Triple H, The Undertaker and this one, with Kurt Angle.
Angle has had one hell of a career, both as an Olympic wrestler and a pro-wrestler, and Steve Austin, in his humanistic and working-man manner, speaks with his former opponent and peer about that career, the ups and downs he’s experienced in his personal life, and all in-between. It’s a long, riveting interview that feels honest and open, but manages to keep things light enough at times so as not to be overly dark. Kurt talks with a matter of factness that goes a long way to making him appear likeable and changed from his years as a man struggling with so-called “demons”.

In the week’s leading up to Summerslam, WWE had some rather hit and miss TV. Where WWE Monday Night Raw was struggling to fill its 3 hours, WWE Friday Night Smackdown was conversely excelling, with fresh faces getting a shot and some better all-round content. In the run up to WWE’s summer spectacular PPV, there’s no doubt about it that things were somewhat interesting. From Shane McMahon debuting the divisive Raw Underground to Alexa Bliss intriguingly being placed in the middle of “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman’s impending showdown, this was certainly an unexpected build to Summerslam.
So, as Dominik Mysterio (after being beaten black and blue – literally – with kendo sticks) makes his in-ring debut and we prepare for either Mandy Rose or Sonya Deville to leave WWE, did WWE manage to deliver a sublime summer sizzler? Or a big fizzle out? At one point...

I’ve previously listed my opinions of the ten best WrestleMania matches of the 80s, 90s and 2000s, so I’ll bring things closer to modern day with my list of the ten best WrestleMania bouts of the 2010s. There have been some fantastic matches between the years 2010 and 2019, and it was a tough job to pick out what I felt were the ten best, but I did my damndest, so let’s get on with this.
10. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey – WrestleMania 35
This match wasn’t as good as it should/could have been. That’s certain. Still… it was very good regardless of the bits that didn’t quite land, and the importance it holds pushes it into this list too. It was the first women’s match to headline a WrestleMania, and the reactions that each superstar had been getting on the lead-up, as well as on the night,...

Last month, I wrote how the renewed push — and quite frankly, the reinvention — of Randy Orton’s character could be a force that helps stem the tide of WWE’s faltering ratings and viewership numbers. That’s proven to not be the case, as Raw and SmackDown seem to hit dangerous new lows on a weekly basis.
But that doesn’t mean Orton’s push has been a total failure.
Last night we saw another chapter in the return of “the legend killer.” After a victory over Kevin Owens in Raw’s main event, Orton and Ric Flair, who had been serving as his manager for a few weeks, had an emotional moment in the ring. Orton was upset that Flair’s ego forced him to fight Kevin Owens in the first place. Flair cut one of the most emotional promos we’ve seen on WWE television in some time,...

Vince McMahon has no new ideas left.
Raw is currently a sinking ship, with ratings setting record-lows week after week. Admittedly, in the middle of a pandemic, but the show is at an all-time low.
McMahon clearly has no idea what to do.
This week on Raw the company introduced a new concept, Raw Underground, which consisted of Shane McMahon hosting a “fight club” in a warehouse somewhere, using a ring with no ropes. The no-holds barred fighting looked like a typical brawl in a WWE backstage segment. Nothing was new or fresh. The referee during the fights (underground fights have referees?) even signaled for the timekeeper to ring the bell prior to the fights beginning.
It was a wrestling match, in a dark warehouse, using a ring with no ropes. That’s all it was.
Elsewhere on the show, WWE hyped that Ric Flair would be making an appearance.

Match #1: Apollo Crews def. Mvp (w/Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) – WWE United States Championship Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Despite The Hurt Business lurking at ringside and the lights in the WWE Performance Center flickering on and off during the match, Apollo Crews persevered and pinned Mvp with the Toss Powerbomb to retain his United States Title and take hold of the new championship.
My Opinion: 3.4 out of 5 – I thought this turned out really well, Mvp looking formidable and Apollo looking like he was a star. This had a nice pace and plenty of big-time smackin’-around action, like Shirley Temple’s last Boner-Fest (that woman could party). Mvp was Apollo’s punching bag when it mattered most,...

Mark Calloway’s career as the Undertaker has mostly been a three-part saga. For the first third, he was more than a little limited in the ring, but had an aura, gimmick, and writing that made him the star of a sideshow act. In the second third, he was truly hitting his stride and finally caught up to his top guy status by having years of fantastic matches. Then he started slowing down and only appeared sporadically, which was fine for a few years, but then it became obvious that he was too worn down from time and his many battles in the ring.
WrestleMania 36 had Undertaker ride off with dignity as the pre-taped setup of the show allowed him to face Aj Styles in a Boneyard Match. It was less of a wrestling match and more of a lengthy fight scene you’d see in a straight-to-dvd B-movie, but...

WWE Network has released the trailer for its five-episode docuseries “Undertaker: The Last Ride.” The professional wrestling company’s public relations team ain’t lyin’ when they say it’s Mark Calaway as you’ve never seen him before.
In Sunday’s premiere episode, the 30-year WWE veteran Undertaker (Calaway) comes to terms with his own mortality as he prepares for what many believed to be the final match of his career against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33, according to the limited series’ logline.
Spoiler alert: It was not.

“Undertaker: The Last Ride” will features interviews with Calaway, his wife Michelle McCool, Reigns, Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, John Cena, Batista, Ric Flair, Edge, Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley and others.
“People have no idea how much pain he’s in physically,” McCool says at one point.

He’s teased it a couple of times, but could WrestleMania 36 have been the last ride for the Undertaker?
Undertaker, who is now 55 years old, has had good matches and he’s had bad matches over the last few years. His swan song could have come around the same time he retired Shawn Michaels in 2010, but here we are 10 years later and Undertaker has still had some memorable WrestleMania matches with Triple H, Cm Punk, and Brock Lesnar.
His match at WrestleMania 33 against Roman Reigns closed the show, and that felt like it was the top of the mountain and the end of the road for ‘Taker. Following the match, which Reigns won, Undertaker laid his hat and gloves in the middle of the ring and walked to the back. Almost everyone thought that was the last we’d see of the Dead Man.
One year later, though, Undertaker beat...

Photo Shoot is a show in which a WWE performer, past or present, sits down in a chair in a dark room with a camera pointed at them, and are shown a variety of photographs for half-an-hour from various times in their career, and they make comments on them. We’ve had a whole bunch of episodes since this WWE Original began, from Shane McMahon, Rusev and Ric Flair to Goldust, Jim Cornette and now, The Big Red Machine and Mayor of Knoxville, Tn, Kane.
The concept of the show is simple and effective and while it isn’t especially a deep-dive on the career photography of said performers’ career, it’s still fun to see a series of pictures pop up and hear random stories about each one. With this episode it’s even more interesting because it’s Kane, and Kane, for most of his career was never...

Well that was certainly a (ratings) smackdown. Last night, Fox’s “Friday Night SmackDown” debut drew 3.888 million total viewers, according to Nielsen. Photo Shoot is another one of those easy-breezy but entertaining original programs on the WWE Network. It’s simple in concept and execution. You take a WWE talent, man or woman, legend or current member of the roster, and you sit them down in front of television and show them a bunch of photographs from their career, and they talk a little bit about them as they flash up. The half-hour program is a lot of fun, and we’ve seen an array of names, from Ric Flair to Rusev to Shane McMahon take part so far, and the latest episode which was added to the streaming service this past week see’s Christian sit down and talk to his peeps about his career.
I’m a fan of these sorts of shows from WWE. While short in length, they still offer some fun stories and flashbacks to moments we remember from WWE history.

Welcome back folks. So, being a fan of wrestling means you see the same conversations and discussions going on between fans, discussions that never really change. In all the time I’ve been watching pro-wrestling, for twenty-seven years, the question “what’s the best PPV ever” has come up. It’s all about opinion, really. It’s all about choice. What one wrestling fan likes, another wrestling fan might hate, and visa versa. I, however, like to make things difficult for myself, and as seen as we now have the WWE Network (wonder how much it costs…) at our disposal, a wonderful and deep service, I can easily revisit a whole bunch of shows and compile a list of what I, personally, think are the ten best WWE (or WWF) Pay-per-views ever. I won’t talk about Ecw or WCW here, or New Japan Pro Wrestling, or Aew or any other promotion.

Match #1: Andrade def. Apollo Crews – King of the Ring Tournament Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The blue brand’s portion of the King of the Ring tournament kicked off right, as Apollo Crews clashed with Andrade in one of the most anticipated matchups of the first round. It was clear the match meant a little extra to both competitors due to their longstanding beef, which flared up as recently as the announcement of the tournament last week. Apollo fed off the energy of the WWE Universe early and often, catching Andrade with an unbelievable dropkick and narrowly avoiding Andrade’s dreaded Running Double Knees.

In a WrestleMania rematch, Seth Rollins once again challenges Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.
It’s August and it’s WWE and that means it’s time for WWE SummerSlam 2019. Since 1988, SummerSlam has been something of a secondary WrestleMania and is arguably their second biggest show of the year. It’s always had that feel of being a big deal, yet more experimental in the sense that the marquee matches are a bit weirder and a little less focused on dream match star power. Stuff like ending the show with a wedding, Heath Slater main-eventing, or that time when Brock Lesnar busted up Randy Orton’s skull within minutes and they just ended the show.
This time around we get a random Goldberg match out of nowhere, so it’s nice to see some things remain constant.
When Is Summerslam 2019?

Baron Corbin is far from a fan-favorite wrestler, but fellow WWE “Raw” Superstar Mike “The Miz” Mizanin reminded TheWrap that could all turn around — just look at his own career.
“It took 13 years for people to realize my talent, I think. To be clear, it was Mike, the former “Real World” cast member, who brought up Corbin. We asked Miz about his current positioning as a good guy — a.k.a. a “babyface,” in wrestling parlance — on WWE TV. He had played a heel — a bad guy — for a long time,...

Welcome to this week’s Smackdown Live review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Eric Bischoff wasn’t booking the show, if the rumors are to be believed. Okay, let’s see if a show built around Daniel Bryan’s major announcement is any good.
Match #1: Aleister Black def. Cesaro The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Following their show-stealing clash at WWE Extreme Rules, Aleister Black and Cesaro ran it back on the blue brand. Looking to claim a second monumental victory over The Swiss Cyborg after defeating him on Sunday, Aleister Black immediately brought the fight to his opposition, forcing Cesaro to retreat in the early goings. The King of Swing battled back with a submission-based attack, but Black refused to stay down and finished off Cesaro with a brutal Black Mass that sent Cesaro’s mouthpiece flying across the ring.
My Opinion: 3 out...

Welcome to this review of WWE’s Extreme Rules event, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a card that looks quite good on paper. Let’s see if this show can get on the road to success. I feel like I work at Office Max when I say stuff like that. Road To Success. Anyway, let’s get to it.
Match #1: Shinsuke Nakamura beat Finn Balor – WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
This tried to be a hit, but it felt like a really fantastic miss. These guys could have had a great one, but they only got a few minutes to show what they could do and it just wasn’t enough.
My Opinion: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Drew Gulak beat Tony Nese – WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match
This was the same thing as the match above.
My Opinion: 2.5 out of 5 Match #3: The Undertaker & Roman...

Welcome to this week’s Smackdown Live review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have…the WWE website is missing half of its recap for Smackdown, so we’ll just wing it for most of the review. Yeah, it seems Vince McMahon has given up on his own TV show. Okay, we’ve got Extreme Rules build to cover, so let’s get right to it.
Match #1: Shinsuke Nakamura def. Finn Balor
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was a fine match that had more than enough action to actually look like a real wrestling match. I bet New Japan is pissed that they don’t have this match to book any-more. I bet Shinsuke and Finn would’ve made more money on this match from New Japan, because the latter would have promoted the former ahead of time. It’s a shame that the WWE...
