McKimson died of a massive coronary while dining with his colleagues,
including Friz Freleng, at a Burbank restaurant - just after an appointment
with his doctor in which he had been pronounced in good health.
In 1930 he had an accident that left him with a concussion. After his recovery, he claimed to be able to visualize better and produce drawings at three times his previous rate.
