Biography

    • Brother of Charles McCormick, Larry began his entertainment career as a DJ for a popular radio station. He appeared in several films as well as made guest appearances on various television shows. He was the Health and Fitness reporter for the KTLA ten o'clock news. He was married to Anita McCormick and father of Kitty and Mitch and grandfather of Daniel and Benjamin.

  • Brother of Charles McCormick of the R&B group, Bloodstone.
  • He was one of the first black newscasters in Los Angeles, with KCOP-TV in 1969.
  • Attended and graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC).
  • Following his death, he was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Hollywood Hills) in Los Angeles, California.
  • He was posthumously awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Television at 6620 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California on October 10, 2002.
