Poor random guy! Matthew McCarthy, the DJ whose photo Josh Duggar reportedly used to cover up his real identity on his covert OkCupid account, is really suffering as a result. McCarthy's name hit the headlines on Thursday, August 20, when Gawker reported that Duggar not only may have paid nearly $1,000 for two subscriptions to cheating website Ashley Madison, but that the unique email linked to those accounts (joesmithsonnwa@gmail.com) was also linked to an OkCupid profile. Last year, during the annual Presidential pardon of a single turkey, President Obama cracked a joke that, for turkeys competing to stay off the Thanksgiving table, "It was, quite literally, the Hunger Games." The folks at Nerdist took the remark a step further and created this parody short called “Gobble Games.” If you rolled your eyes at Obama’s lame dad joke (you’ll hear plenty more just like it during Thanksgiving), you’ll likely roll your eyes at yet another Hunger Games parody. But don’t worry, this also spoofs scenes from some classic war movies.
“Gobble Games” was directed by Clinton Jones and stars Shelby Fero, Matt McCarthy, John Milhiser, Jessica Chobot, Kyle Clark, John Ungaro, Kyle Hill, Malik Forte, Ben Mekler, Jason Nguyen, Dan Casey, and Charles Ingram.

Yesterday we reported that comedian Patton Oswalt had extensive thoughts about how he could work himself into the Marvel movies as a villain. Little did MTV Geek know that Oswalt would soon make his debut as a Nolan-esque version of the Batman villain the Penguin. The video contains some graphic violence and some naughty words, so it's pretty Nsfw unless you work at a pretty chill place. It's also hilarious. The video also stars comedy giants Pete Holmes and Matt McCarthy as Batman and Commissioner Gordon.

Batman and his damn one rule. He went on and on about it so much in The Dark Knight that it's no surprise that the Joker felt compelled to push Batman to the limit. Do you real need to be so preachy Mr. Wayne? College Humor has a pretty funny new video about the hero's one rule and how Batman may be breaking his rule without even knowing it. In the video it's just another day for the Caped Crusader: the Penguin (Patton Oswalt) is holding Commissioner Gordon (Matt McCarthy) hostage so it's up...

One of the longest standing (essentially meaningless) debates in fiction is whether or not Batman has ever killed anyone, seeing as how killing people is totally against his code of ethics and all. And while Christopher Nolan.s films have certainly had a lot of death happening all around Batman, but no one ever found the Caped Crusader with a gun in his hand or anything. That is, until comedians Patton Oswalt, Pete Holmes, Matt McCarthy and College Humor proved once and for all that Batman is a red handed murderer too imbecilic to realize his wrongdoings. It.s unfortunate that it ties itself so tightly to Christian Bale.s Batman, because now I both love this video for its hilariousness and hate it because it makes Batman look dumb. It.s possibly the ridiculing that Batman deserves, but not the one he needs right now. Oh okay, so Holmes...

The hardest working person in show biz must be Chris Brown's publicist (or Mel Gibson's agent). Team Breezy's support may be unwavering, but the rest of the world seems to need a lot of handholding every time Brown lashes out.
Comedian Matt McCarthy teamed up with College Humor to give us a glimpse into the nightmare that must be attempting to spin Chris Brown's negatives into positives, and we're pretty sure they nailed it.

Any wedding is a big deal for the participants, but preparing a wedding for two little people was no small order.
When Matt McCarthy, a Los Angeles-based entertainer, decided to propose to his girlfriend, 3-foot, 5-inch "Amazing Ali" Chapman, their friend, Todd Ray of the Venice Beach Freakshow, wanted them to do it up big.
"In this world, the sideshow circus world, this is a big deal," Ray told The Huffington Post. "It's a lot like the wedding of General Tom Thumb back in 1863, which was considered the wedding of the century."
General Tom Thumb, aka Charles Stratton, was a little person who worked for P.T. Barnum. His wedding to Lavinia Stratton was considered by many to be the wedding of the 19th century. The couple even honeymooned with Abraham Lincoln at the White House, according to Thumb's biographer, Melanie Benjamin.

Comedians Pete Holmes and Matt McCarthy are both hilarious individuals who have created or been a part of many high-quality endeavours. Together, however, with writer/director Oren Brimer, the duo have starred in and written the Badman series, with Brimer co-writing and directing, since 2011. A spoof of Christopher Nolan’s take on the Dark Knight, the series doesn’t poke fun at the films, however; rather, it re-imagines certain scenes with Batman as a bumbling fool who is not respected as much as he is tolerated and is often a source of frustration. The latest entry in the series sees the trio tackling a climactic moment from The Dark Knight Rises, with Deanna Russo along for the ride as Selina Kyle/Catwoman.

Pixar's new movie "Brave," which hits theaters on Friday, could quite possibly have the largest share of redheaded characters of any major studio release in the history of color cinema.
The movie's protagonist, Merida, has red hair, and so do her three mischievous little brothers, who are known only as "The Triplets." All four have inherited their coloring from their father King Fergus, who literally reigns over the mythical Scotland of the movie. And the large-group shots in the movie always include an unusually generous smattering of auburn manes.
But if any company were going to produce such an enthusiastic ode to gingerdom, it was bound to be Disney's Pixar. Since releasing "Toy Story 2" in 1999, the studio has had an unprecedented proportion of redheaded characters in its movies. Every movie the studio has made -- aside from those, like "Cars" and "A Bug's Life," that are not about humans...

Prominent “midget” theater group Beacher’s Madhouse is planning a massive protest against the producers of ‘Snow White and the Huntsman,’ TMZ is reporting. Matt McCarthy, the 4’1″ self-described “midget,” who works for the theater group at the Roosevelt Hotel, is leading the protest against the action adventure fantasy film. Beacher’s Madhouse, a troupe that features more than 20 little people, is standing up for the little people who are upset the film’s producers cast tall people in the roles of Snow White’s dwarfs. Just like Little People of America, McCarthy’s upset ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ didn’t hire little people as the dwarfs. Producers cast normal-sized actors instead, and digitally [ Read More ]...

Relativity Media started filming its "Mirror Mirror" Snow White film almost at the same time as Universal Pictures got to work on "Snow White and the Huntsman." The box office result could not be any different, with "Snow White and the Huntsman" grossing almost as much during its opening weekend as "Mirror Mirror" grossed in total. The other difference is that "Mirror Mirror" actually used little people to play the dwarfs, while "Snow White and the Huntsman" hired normal-sized actors (Bob Hoskins, Toby Jones, etc...) and then digitally shortened their limbs or transplanted their faces onto the bodies of little people. Now, little people across Hollywood are planning to "coordinate a 100-midget march to Universal's offices" to protest what they believe is an incredible injustice and prejudice, stating that little people should have been hired to play the dwarfs. The person leading the charge is Matt McCarthy, who is a...

Several years ago, Doritos held a contest where fans submitted their own homemade commercials and the winning ad got to air during the Super Bowl. Obviously, the one that ended up getting voted in involved a person getting hit in the balls (seriously), and history unfolded as we know it (the whole Gaddafi thing, etc.) The following ad from Pete Holmes, Matt McCarthy, and Oren Brimer was one of the five finalists in the contest, but it sadly lost out (#Ballsgate – never forget). It remains to this day the best Super Bowl commercial of all time, even though it never rightfully aired. Websites dust off their “Greatest Super Bowl Ads Of All Time” lists every year, but their lame Budweiser Frogs and Pepsi Truckers can’t hold a candle to Doritos Beer: I’ve watched this upwards of 50 times now in my life, and the ending gets me every time.

Comedian Matt McCarthy loves professional wrestling, and thinks the sport deserves to be viewed and appreciated like any of the performing arts. For that matter, so should comedy. "I see a lot of parallels between stand-up and wrestling," he says. "They're both bastardized, in a way."And so on Monday, Jan. 24, McCarthy presents the first installment of "Marking Out," a new "comedy extravaganza" to be held the third Monday of every month at the Ace Hotel in NYC -- with a name inspired by the experience of watching pro wrestlers. In wrestling, a "mark" is a fan who believes that the characters and events depicted in professional wrestling are real -- or at least reacts as if they don't know them to be staged. "'Marking out' is when you know wrestling is fake," McCarthy explains, "but you get excited and lost in it anyway. So I'm calling the show 'Marking...

As the year begins, Comedy Central will be starting a new series, as well as improving on old ones.
The humor-based cable channel will offer a new weekly comic showcase as part of its programming lineup. "John Oliver's New York Stand-Up" serves as both a forum for other funny people, as well as the stage act of the titular host. The series, scheduled for a six episode run beginning on January 8, offers Oliver the opportunity to pick some of his favorite fellow comics for camera time.
In the premiere, British comedian Oliver kicks things off by discussing his favorite things about America and joking about how Australians are upside-down. Another of his points has to do with voting under the influence. Oliver's segment in the first episode is complemented by performances by stand-ups Maria Bamford, Nick Kroll and Greg Fitzsimmons. Eugene Mirman rounds out the episode with a super-sized set.
