Paul Mauriat was born on March 4, 1925 in Marseille, Bouches-du-Rhône, France. He was a composer and actor, known for Goodfellas (1990), The Little Things (2021) and All About Steve (2009). He was married to Irène Bobo. He died on November 3, 2006 in Perpignan, Pyrénées-Orientales, France.
Most famous for writing the 1968 #1 hit, "Love is Blue," as well as the
title song of the movie "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang," which hit #76 in
1969.
