The Infiltrator Ending Explained: Was Robert Mazur Successful In Taking Down Pablo Escobar?
Image
The Infiltrator's ending sees Robert Mazur's years of undercover work come into effect with a major bust, leading to questions about the real-life history and the film's thematic implications. Bryan Cranston leads The Infiltrator cast, playing the dual lives of Robert Mazur and his undercover criminal counterpart, Bob Musella. As Musella, he helps drug lords of the cartel with laundering their money, hoping to gain favor and infiltrate their ranks, bringing him closer to higher-ups like Pablo Escobar.

While Mazur's work doesn't directly reach Pablo Escobar, the staged wedding between him and Kathy Ertz (Dianne Kruger), along with years of undercover work, leads to numerous arrests. Where Else You Know Morfydd Clark, The Rings Of Power's Galadriel Actor, From
Image
Morfydd Clark is best known for playing Galadriel in Prime Video's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, but she has a wide range of other movie and television roles under her belt as well. While Rings of Power has received a mixed reception since its 2022 debut, Clark's performance is one of the series' consistent highlights throughout seasons 1 and 2. Instead of trying to mimic Cate Blanchett's movie performance, Clark provides her own distinct take on the character.

Her Galadriel is younger, more impulsive, and more prone to anger yet Clark still imbues the character with gravitas and a commanding delivery of her lines. She brings to life one of The Rings of Power's best characters and has strong chemistry with Charlie Vickers, making the relationship between Galadriel and Sauron particularly compelling to watch. Clark was already a rising star before The Rings of Power, though, and has...

The Glassworker

Pakistani animator Usman Riaz's The Glassworker is a seminal hand-drawn animation feature, ten years in the making. Usman and his collaborators at Mano Animation Studios had to build the infrastructure from scratch to create Pakistan's first animated film, which premiered at the prestigious 2024 Annecy International Film Festival.

Directed and written by Riaz and co-writer Moya O'Shea, the story revolves around Vincent (Sacha Dhawan) and his father Tomas (Art Malik), whose peaceful life running a glasswork shop in a small town is disturbed by conflict sweeping down from the north. The father and son's relationship is tested when Vincent falls in love with Alliz (Anjli Mohindra), a talented violinist who is the daughter of the newly stationed colonel (Tony Jayaward). Their desire for one another and their creative souls are an affront to a harsher sensibility fuelled by patriotism, where tradition would deny Vincent and Alliz's love.

Famous Lost Horror Movie To Be Recreated As Audio Drama (Despite The Fact That It Was Silent)
Image
A lost silent horror movie classic, "London After Midnight," will be brought back to life as a full-cast audio drama, giving audiences a chance to experience the story in a new format. The original film, released in 1927, is considered lost due to the destruction of the last remaining print in a fire. Previous restoration efforts have only provided glimpses of what the film may have been. The upcoming audio production will feature a voice cast including Art Malik, and will be recorded in Dolby Atmos for an immersive listening experience. It will be released as a limited edition vinyl and episodically this fall.

A lost horror movie classic of the silent era is set to live again, staged as a full-cast audio drama. Lon Chaney Jr. was an international superstar when he appeared in London After Midnight, a gothic horror movie directed by the legendary Tod Browning. Released by MGM...

‘London After Midnight’ – Lost Horror Classic Returns as a Full Cast Audio Drama This Fall
Image
A few years before directing Dracula and Freaks, Tod Browning made a silent horror film titled London After Midnight. Starring Lon Chaney as “The Hypnotist,” the 65-minute film was distributed by MGM in December of 1927; though audiences saw it upon release, it’s likely that everyone who did is no longer with us. Sadly, the last known copy was destroyed in the infamous MGM vault fire of 1967, which tragically resulted in the loss of many classic films.

We may never lay eyes on Tod Browning’s London After Midnight, but those who’ve been salivating to experience it may be excited to hear that a full-cast audio drama is on the way.

Scripted Audio Drama producers Lance Roger Axt, Jack Bowman and Kenton Hall have meticulously adapted the original screenplay by Waldemar Young and Tod Browning as an immersive Dolby Atmos aural experience, with the recording taking place over two...

The Little Mermaid becomes one of the most-watched movie premieres on Disney+
Image
Disney’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid debuted on Disney+ last week and made one hell of a splash. According to Disney, The Little Mermaid has garnered 16 million views in its first five days on the streaming service, which makes it the most-watched Disney movie premiere on Disney+ since the release of Hocus Pocus 2 last year.

While The Little Mermaid wasn’t one of Disney’s strongest-performing live-action remakes, it went on to gross $569 million worldwide and stands (so far) as one of the highest-grossing movies of the year. Judging by the streaming numbers, it seems that many were eager to revisit The Little Mermaid (or watch it for the first time) on the streaming service. Disney says that a view is defined as total stream time divided by runtime.

Where Was The Little Mermaid Filmed? Disney Remake's Filming Locations Explained
Image
The live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid utilized CGI and special effects to create the underwater world and was filmed in Sardinia, Italy, to give it a Caribbean feel. The villages of Santa Teresa di Gallura and Castelsardo in Sardinia were used to film various scenes. Pinewood Studios in England provided the water stages for sea sequences and sets for the interior of Eric's castles, making it the central filming location for The Little Mermaid.

The 2023 live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid takes place in the fictional underwater kingdom of Atlantica and a town on the coast of the Caribbean. Still, the movie's cast and crew never ventured to the Caribbean to film scenes. The Disney film, which is the latest of a string of live-action remakes of animation classics from the production studio, obviously utilized extensive computer-generated imagery (CGI) and special effects to create the colorful and realistic underwater world of The Little Mermaid.

The Little Mermaid Scuttlebutt Rap Released: Is It as Bad as They Say?
Image
The latest clip from Disney’s live action remake of The Little Mermaid gives audiences the chance to hear the divisive new song, The Scuttlebutt, for themselves. No doubt many will regret doing so. Released courtesy of Walt Disney Studios, The Scuttlebutt is performed by Awkwafina as the voice of Scuttle and Daveed Diggs as the voice of Sebastian, and is quickly recognizable as the work of Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda. Check out the new clip below...if you dare...

Made up of the kind of fast-paced rap sequences that Miranda has become known for, The Scuttlebutt is one of four new songs to feature in The Little Mermaid and has already garnered something of an infamous reputation. The song finds Awkwafina’s gannet, Scuttle, relaying some gossip about Prince Eric to Halle Bailey’s Ariel. In rap form.
