Professional wrestling has seen the rise and fall of many over the years, but very few have actually managed to leave a mark or become the face of the sport. Roman Reigns has managed to achieve both within a short span of time. The American professional has reached the pinnacle of success, and he is still going strong. As a professional, he now reigns at the top as one of the highest-paid wrestlers around at present.
The wrestler’s real name is Joseph Leati Anoa’i, but he took on the mantle of Roman Reigns because he became a bit of a villain as he was making his way up the ladder in the world of wrestling. After going pro in 2010, Reigns has carved out a niche for himself in the wrestling ring.

Endeavor’s publicly traded Tko Group has named Dwayne Johnson to its board of directors, effective today. The WWE superstar has also secured full ownership of the trademarked name The Rock.
Tko is the parent company of WWE and UFC.
The name The Rock is derived from his father, WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson, who was the first Black champion in WWE history (alongside partner Tony Atlas). Johnson’s grandfather, Peter Maivia, a Samoan-American professional wrestler, was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008.
Rock and WWE have inked a merchandising agreement that provides for promotion, licensing, and other services.
“I am thrilled to partner with Dwayne and welcome his immense talent to Tko’s Board. Dwayne brings an incredible track record of creating content and building globally recognized consumer brands, and he will play a key role in realizing our ambitions for Tko,” said Tko (and Endeavor) CEO Ariel Emanuel.

Dwayne Johnson has said that he’s far more interested in playing James Bond than a villain in the action franchise.
The actor’s grandfather Peter Maivia, who was also a wrestler, played a “bad guy” opposite Sean Connery in the 1967 Bond film You Only Live Twice.
In a new interview, Johnson was asked what film series he’d most like to appear in, when he recalled his family connection to 007.
“You know my grandfather was in You Only Live Twice?” he told LadBible. “He was, he was a bad guy in You Only Live Twice. He had this amazing fight scene with Sean Connery. Yeah, I could see that... I would easily say James Bond.”
Adding that he would also like to appear in a Star Wars film, he continued: “I see myself as James Bond. F*** the villain! An American Bond? It can happen, right? It’s like Henry Cavill playing Superman.
