Now that we're nearing the end of August, Netflix has released its full list of shows and movies coming to the platform in September. But while we're super excited about all the new content set to be released on Netflix throughout next month, we can't help but think of the shows and movies that will be making their departure.

These shows have been on Netflix for a long time, and we often go back to rewatch them. So, to be unable to do so anymore is going to be hard.
Are you wondering what shows we're talking about? If so, keep on reading because we shared them below and when they will be departing Netflix.

On the surface, David Cronenberg’s 1996 adaptation of J.G. Ballard’s 1973 novel Crash is a drama about an unlikely group of people who come together over their shared fascination with car crashes.
The novel is written in the first person from the point of view of Ballard’s proxy, James Ballard. He’s a successful film producer in an open marriage to wife Catherine; both partners routinely engage in casual sex with co-workers and strangers alike, seemingly in pursuit of upending their relationship ennui.
The sex, which is captured by Ballard in incredibly specific and laborious prose, is cold, dispassionate, and almost clinical. The novel is often described as a work of science-fiction; despite containing virtually none of the tropes of the genre, Crash reads like a warning of a dystopian future in which citizens have become so desensitized that they will be pushed to pursue more and more extreme...

Stone Canyon Entertainment has announced the start of production on “Who Are the Marcuses,” a feature documentary about a mysterious couple who donated half a billion dollars to Israel, the largest single gift in the history of the state.
Matthew Mishory is directing, with Stone Canyon’s Bradford Schlei and Alvaro Fernandez producing, and executive producers Marc Bennett and Rhino Films’ Stephen Nemeth. Filming is set to begin in Israel and in Austin, Texas in the first quarter of the year for a 2022 release. The film pieces together the lives of Holocaust refugees Lottie and Howard Marcus (pictured), who lived in a modest San Diego apartment and bequeathed half a billion dollars to Ben-Gurion University of the Negev to study water management.
The couple hoped their gift would help bring about regional conflict resolution in Israel and peace through water. The film will explore how they invested their nest egg...

There is a very good mix of theatrical, digital, VOD and hybrid releases this weekend starting with The Kid Detective from Stage 6 Films starring Adam Brody and Sophie Nélisse.
Written and directed by Evan Morgan, the movie is about exactly what the title suggests: a kid detective. Brody plays a once-celebrated kid detective who is now 31 and isn’t exactly bathing in fame. However, he continues to solve the same trivial mysteries as he navigates his hangovers and wades in puddles of self-pity. All of this changes when a naïve client brings him his first “adult” case in which he attempts to find out who brutally murdered her boyfriend. The film also stars Sarah Sutherland, Tzi Ma, Wendy Crewson, Jonathan Whittaker and Peter MacNeill.

The premise behind Evan Morgan’s The Kid Detective definitely hit upon my nostalgia as a big fan of the HBO Encyclopedia Brown series when I was a kid. You do wonder what might happen to someone like that as they grow older. Do they become cynical? Depressed? Do they become actual private detectives or go into the police force? A real-world Encyclopedia Brown would have to face the reality that what they thought they were doing was never actually what it was. Being the cute kid to whom the mayor gives a key to the city and the town pitches in to rent office space isn’t the same as being a qualified law enforcement official citizens can rely on. Public celebrity doesn’t garner public trust.

Our first experience with Cassie teaching art history ties into Good Witch Season 6 Episode 6 beautifully.
There has never been a better time to share a lesson on perspective given real-world situations, and in Middleton, it's no different.
While Cassie helps her students to view things differently, Stephanie, Martha, George, Abigail, and Donovan all alter their viewpoints, as well.
Messages on Good Witch are always valuable, but Cassie's class was invaluable.
Even doing what you believe is expected of you has little meaning and certainly no value if you're not using your own thoughts to support your actions.
Sydney and Zach are very different students, but they share at least some interests. After all, they're both students seeking knowledge and both in the art history class.
On Zach's part, he viewed Sydney as a little too stuck in the mud, so to speak, for his carefree approach to college life and classes.

Whilst writer/director Jason Krawczyk also trades places, giving up the directorial reigns to Audrey Cummings to...

The term "cult" as it refers to film today has become little more than a marketing cliché. So very few films truly merit the designation. The defining attribute of any true cult film is the quality of transgression: visions and/or portrayals that defy established modes of discourse and/or codes of conduct. Crash achieves multiple transgressions in its 100-minute running time. Cronenberg's Crash is a faithful adaptation of the psychosexual novel by "New Wave" science-fiction author J. G. Ballard (1930-2009). It involves a cult whose members seek sexual gratification from being in car crashes. The transgressive subject matter of the source novel was leveraged by Cronenberg, who was philosophically predisposed to undertake the adaptation to film. In a subsequent introduction to his novel Ballard wrote that the modern world is ruled by fiction, a sentiment expressed by Cronenberg through the medium of Professor Brian O'Blivion and...

This Titans review contains spoilers.
Titans Season 2 Episode 6
With nary a mention of him since his tease at the end of season one, Conner Kent swoops into Titans with a great episode that’s charming, sweet, and exciting for what it sets up for the series. Oh, and Krypto!
Picking up after the stinger scene from last season’s finale, “Conner” has a bare-assed Lex Luthor/Superman clone busting himself, and Krypto the Super-Dog out of Luthor’s Cadmus Labs. What follows is a road-trip of self-discovery as the young naïve boy learns his powers, taps into his anger, and hopefully develop into a good person.
I really commend Joshua Orpin on his performance as Conner. Playing a full-grown adult newborn is a minefield because it tiptoes along the lines of some very well-tread tropes.

Eat, Brains, Love, which world premiered last month at the UK’s Frighfest, is about Jake (Jake Cannavale) and his dream girl Amanda (Angelique Rivera). The good news is she finally knows his name — but the bad news is both contracted a mysterious sexually transmitted zombie virus and devoured the brains of half their senior class. A teen psychic (Sarah Yarkin) sent by the government’s top-secret Necrotic Control Division is sent to track them down. Patrick Fabian also stars.
Mike Herro and David Strauss wrote the script based on the novel by Jeff Hart. The pic is produced by Tommy Coriale, Tony Disanto, Brian Hoff, Van Toffler and Cody Weig.

If you're like me, you've been watching Good Witch since it's first movie premiered in 2008.
You probably know the characters like the back of your hand.
That's why I'm thrilled to share that Good Witch Season 6 is a go at Hallmark! There is some less-than-stellar news to report, also, though. Someone won't be returning when the sixth season begins.
Catherine Bell has starred as Cassie Nightingale since the series began, but Cassie's life looked a whole lot different when she first got to Middleton.
She was a mysterious newcomer with a surprising family connection to the town, and she was also single and ready to mingle!
Throughout the Good Witch movie franchise, we got to know Cassie and followed her life as she met and married Jake Russell, father of two to Brandon and Lori.
Cassie was a wonderful mother, so we were even more excited when she got pregnant and gave birth to Grace.

In a decidedly bad development for fans of Hallmark Channel’s Good Witch, Bailee Madison will not be returning for the series just-ordered sixth season. The actress’ character, Grace Russell, is poised to graduate at the end of the dramedy’s current fifth season, “allowing for a natural wrap of her storyline,” according to Deadline, which broke the news of Madison’s departure.
Good Witch stars Jag and Army Wives vet Catherine Bell as Cassie Nightingale, the newly widowed enchantress of the fictional town of Middleton. Madison co-stars as her now-teenage daughter who shares her mother’s unique gifts of insight and intuition.

There was never anything like it and there will never be.
Those are the words of actress Sharon Gless talking about the gone-but-not-forgotten series, Queer As Folk, the Us take on the British hit series which ran on Showtime from December 2000- August 2005.
And while the actors from the show have been busy in multiple projects – Peter Paige (Emmett) is Exec Producing the ABC Family series, The Fosters, Gale Harold (Brian) has been acting in series like Defiance and The Secret Circle and Randy Harrison (Justin) has concentrated mostly onstage though he appears with Michael Urie in Such Good People, which is currently on the film festival circuit – is there a chance we could see them, along with co-stars Hal Sparks, Scott Lowell, Thea Gill, Michelle Clunie and, of course, multi Emmy-winner Sharon Gless, reprise their roles?
According to Gless, who talked to TheBacklot last week, the answer is yes.
