In 2000 The The Australian Film Institute named their
equivalent of the Oscars The "Lovelys" in her honor.
Considered Australia's first international star, she worked for
Universal until she walked off the lot. Her career in America never
recovered so she returned to Australia and co-produced and starred in a
resounding hit, Jewelled Nights (1925).
