Meghan Markle kept it simple when it came to her 2018 royal wedding makeup look. The man responsible, makeup artist Daniel Martin, knows this all too well. A longtime friend of the Duchess of Sussex’s—the two met during Suits—Martin remembers being criticized for sending Meghan down the aisle “wearing little to nothing” in a time of “Instagram makeup.”
Daniel Martin says he got ‘dragged’ for Meghan’s minimalist wedding makeup
When Meghan arrived at St. George’s Chapel to marry Prince Harry on May 19, 2018, the now-42-year-old did so sporting a makeup look to match her minimalist Givenchy gown designed by Clare Waight Keller.
The world’s reaction to Meghan’s bridal makeup is a memorable moment for Martin because it was so different from trends at the time.
“That was an interesting point in my career because it totally just took,” he told UsWeekly. “I also think it was…...

JoJo Siwa is back on So You Think You Can Dance.
Siwa, who was a judge on Season 17 of the Fox show, will replace Nigel Lythgoe as a judge on Season 18.
This comes after he exited the show following a number of sexual assault complaints.
Siwa will sit alongside Allison Holker and Maksim Chmerkovskiy on the judging panel. Cat Deeley will host the series, which premieres on March 4.
It’s not clear whether the show had to do any reshoots following Lythgoe’s departure.
Lythgoe, the co-creator, lead judge and exec producer of So You Think You Can Dance, is the subject of two sexual misconduct lawsuits, including one filed by Paula Abdul who accused him of assaulting her twice over the past 20 years.
Lythgoe, who was nicknamed Nasty Nigel by the British tabloid press when he was a judge on British competition series Popstars, stepped down on January 5. He...

A historian doesn’t think there’s any truth to the rumor Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are gearing up to do some U.K. house-hunting. They feel another option besides buying real estate in London, England, or the surrounding area makes better “sense.” Additionally, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s “actions” in 2023 haven’t lined up with the rumor.
Harry’s made only ‘pitstops’ in the U.K., Meghan hasn’t visited since 2022
Speaking to the U.K.’s Mirror about Harry and Meghan potentially buying a home in London, historian and royal expert Dr. Tessa Dunlop said it’s, in her opinion, highly unlikely. Take, for instance, the trips Harry’s made to his home country this year.
“His 2023 U.K. pitstops have included a very expensive legal battle with the British press, a blink-and-you’ll-miss-him coronation moment, and a charity event pre-Invictus Games in Germany,” Dunlop said.

There have been numerous reports since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their royal roles and moved across the pond that the duke is “homesick.” The duchess’s friend and makeup artist, Daniel Martin, confirmed that when he revealed that the prince misses his home country despite settling across the pond.
There are also several reports that the Sussexes are house hunting and looking to move out of Montecito. While they don’t have any plans to go back of the U.K., there is one place where the couple could move that will cure Harry’s homesickness.

Meghan Markle — and Prince Harry — have kept their distance from fellow British royals. (They haven’t been seen publicly with the British royal family since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022.) However, the Duchess of Sussex seems to have taken a page from her sister-in-law Kate Middleton’s style playbook. An expert says Meghan’s outfits, whether “purposely or subconsciously,” skewed more business-like at the Invictus Games, an element often seen in the Princess of Wales’s wardrobe.

“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” the Oscar-winning 2018 animated film, shattered conventional wisdom around how animated movies could or should be made. But the groundbreaking comic book film was far from the first bold effort from Sony Pictures Animation. It wasn’t even Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s first risky film for the studio.
30 years ago, Sony Pictures Imageworks, a visual effects studio originally housed in the old TriStar building on the Sony lot, was formed. Their first assignment was doing pre-viz for the long-forgotten Bruce Willis-drives-a-police-boat thriller “Striking Distance” but 10 years later, Sony Pictures Animation was created, and Spa was given a purpose beyond visual effects for major live-action features.
Together, the two units would form a fascinating symbiosis – independent business units that function together; more intertwined than the typical client and vendor and willing to constantly one up each other, both technologically and story-wise, to create animated features...

In fact, it’s fully deserving of a place alongside his father’s very best films, it’s that good.

Another costume for Fox’s upcoming reality competition series, “The Masked Dancer” has been revealed, and Variety has obtained an exclusive first look, which you can see in the promo above.
The new costume is the Ice Cube, joining the previously-revealed Tulip, Cricket, Cotton Candy, Exotic Bird, Sloth and Zebra.

It also represents the fact that the dancer behind the mask spent many a lonely evening eating frozen TV dinners, thanks to his/her busy parents’ hectic careers. Brandon Cronenberg has a difficult burden on his shoulders, living up to his father’s immense filmmaking legacy as the master of body horror and one of the greatest filmmakers around. With his mind-bending sophomore feature, Brandon exhibits his dad’s penchant for gruesome violence but proves his worth as a supremely talented, visionary director in his own right. Possessor combines an engrossing high-concept script with bold visuals and plenty of blood-soaked thrills in this jaw-droppingly brilliant sci-fi trip.
Set in an alternate 2008, the plot revolves around hitwoman-for-hire Tasya Vos (Andrea Riseborough) who uses brain-implant technology to hijack people’s bodies so she can carry out assassinations that benefit her shadowy employer. By disguising herself as someone close to the target she’s able to efficiently undertake the murder and then return to her own body by forcing her host to commit suicide. Also known as “The Odd Family: Zombie On Sale”, Zombie For Sale, released through Arrow Video a couple of weeks ago, is a zombie horror comedy with elements of romance tossed in for good measure. If you’re thinking, however, “oh no, not another zom-rom-com” then think again, because this isn’t a run of the mill romance with zombies. It has plenty of original and unique things going on to make it very different from anything else you would have seen in the genre, and it makes for an absolute joy of a film.
I was unsure what to expect when I went into this one, but in the end I found myself thoroughly besotted with it. It’s hilarious, cute, charming and looks delightful too. The cast throw themselves, feet-first, into...

As many people have discovered during the Covid-19 crisis, it’s not much fun spending your birthday in lockdown. But for a certain 25-foot eating machine, its 45th will be one to remember. Rather than hinder celebrations, lockdown has actually brought together a community of Jaws fans – albeit remotely – to celebrate the anniversary of director Steven Spielberg’s seminal shark movie in a number of resourceful and creative ways.
There have been Twitter watch-alongs, including one hosted by celebrity superfan Kevin Smith, online Jaws-themed pub quizzes and now, launching on Saturday 20th June – 45 years to the day since the film’s release – a feature-length, shot-for-shot remake, created entirely during lockdown in the confines of fans’ homes, gardens, and swimming pools.
A fun, feel-good tribute, the aptly named #JawsWeMake is masterminded by Ross Williams, founder of The Daily Jaws – a website dedicated to the film and its fandom – and Dean Newman,...

“Zombie for Sale“
Synopsis:
An infectiously funny slice of modern Korean cinema where Train to Busan, The Quiet Family and Warm Bodies collide to create a memorable rom-zom-com from first time director Lee Min-jae.
When the illegal human experiments of Korea’s biggest Pharmaceutical company go wrong, one of their “undead” test subjects escapes and ends up in a shabby gas station owned by the Park family – a band of misfits spanning three generations who hustle passers-by to make ends meet. When the Park family uncover their undead visitor, he bites the head of their household, who instead of transforming into an undead ghoul becomes revitalised and full of life! The family then hatch a plan to exploit this unexpected fountain of youth, allowing locals to pay to be bitten too, until things go wrong…

For his first time at bat as a director, longtime indie horror producer Travis Stevens delivers up his truly unique and wickedly weird take on haunted house tropes with Girl on the Third Floor, which also features Phil Brooks (who most wrestling fans around the world know as Cm Punk) in his first ever feature film role. What’s so interesting to me, beyond the film’s narrative that takes some decidedly left turns out of nowhere—especially during the latter half of the movie—is how Girl on the Third Floor is centered around this character who is exploring this new path in his life, and both Stevens and Brooks are also branching out in new ways here as well, and that is something I not only deeply appreciate, but I think those types of parallels between real-life and filmic stories are incredibly fascinating to explore, too.

Former WWE superstar (and Ufc fighter) Cm Punk fields a starring role in the horror movie, Girl on the Third Floor.
Cm Punk, a.k.a. Phil Brooks, has been fielding what might be one of the most publicized career transitions in history ever since the caustic-but-popular former WWE Champion abruptly abandoned the pro wrestling scene in early 2014, leaving an enduring trail of (non-scripted) controversy behind him. Besides banking some written work with Marvel Comics, his long-touted try as an Mma fighter in the Ufc led to two emphatic losses. However, a headlining role in a horror movie, called Girl on the Third Floor, might lead Punk toward new success as a movie star.
Brooks is joined in the Girl on the Third Floor cast by Trieste Kelly Dunn, Elissa Dowling and newcomer Sarah Brooks.
