Parents are Gail and Harry Locke and he has one brother, Jason. Was a former All-State Wrestling champion back home in Fremont, California.

Fell into modeling when he accompanied a former girlfriend to meet a scout. They weren't interested in her and as they stormed out the scout grabbed Ryan and asked if he would be interested in modeling. Not to long later Ryan competed in a talent and model convention (IMTA) met an agent and was off to Europe to model. He struggled there his first year went back to school and modeled again the following season. Within three months Ryan gained notoriety and Supermodel status.
