- Son of Albert Lewis
- He and his father produced the 1952 Broadway musical "Three Wishes for Jamie" and a year later he (alone) produced the London version of "Guys and Dolls" while building a professional relationship with the show's writers Cy Feuer and Ernest H. Martin. Together he associate produced with them "Can-Can," "The Boy Friend," and "Silk Stockings."
