She appeared briefly in Glenroe but it is her role as Hannah Finnegan
in Fair City (1989) which won her a legion of admiring and devoted fans.
Her first big television break was in 1977 with popular rural soap
The Riordans (1965), which she joined for the last three years of the series.
She toured Australia, New Zealand and Scotland in 'Shadow of a Gunman',
and took the Edinburgh Festival and Australia by storm with 'The Well
of the Saints'.
