Pravesh Kumar is the Artistic Director and founder of Theatre Company
Rifco.
Prior to Rifco Pravesh worked in the Indian Film industry (Bollywood)
as an Assistant Director and Writer. He was nominated for the Satyajit
Ray Short Film Award in 2009 for his first short film - Gods On
Mountains.
Pravesh made his theatre debut in 1999 as director of Bollywood - Yet
Another Love Story. Other Rifco productions include: Airport
2000,There's Something About Simmy, It Ain't All Bollywood, The
Deranged Marriage, Where's My Desi Soulmate?, Meri Christmas, Britain's
Got Bhangra, MummyJi Presents and Break The Floorboards. He was
Associate Director on the new musical Wah! Wah! Girls, which opened in
the West End as part of World Stages London for the Olympics 2012.
He was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2022 Queen's New Years Honours List for his services to theatre in Slough, Berkshire, England.
