- Lajos Kránitz was born on February 9, 1943 in Budapest, Hungary. He was an actor, known for Az eröd (1979), Dögkeselyü (1982) and Before the Bat's Flight Is Done (1989). He died on August 1, 2005 in Budapest, Hungary.
- In Hungary he dubbed Larry Hagman in Dallas.
- He was also one of the voices of Darth Vader, being the third Hungarian actor to voice the character after Attila Nagy (in the original theatrical run of Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) in 1982) and Tibor Kristóf (in the TV dub of Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) in 1984). He first voiced Vader in the 1992 TV dub of Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977).
He was succeeded by Frigyes Hollósi (in the '90s VHS version of the Original Trilogy and in the 1997 Special Edition Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) dub), but returned to the role for the remainder of the Special Edition dubs and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005).
