Anthony and Joe Russo, the Russo Brothers, have directed some of the biggest movies of all time, with their film Avengers: Endgame coming in second place just behind James Cameron’s Avatar – and today, a teaser trailer for the new movie, the sci-fi adventure The Electric State, has dropped online! This teaser, which reveals that the movie is set to begin streaming on Netflix on March 14th, can be viewed in the embed above.
The story of this film begins in July of 2017, when Free League launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a new narrative artbook from acclaimed artist and author Simon Stålenhag – a book called The Electric State, which had the following description: In late 1997, a runaway teenager and her yellow toy robot travel west through a strange USA, where the ruins of gigantic battle drones litter the countryside heaped together with the discarded trash of a...

Chris Pratt opens up about a bloody experience on the set of Jurassic World where he accidentally injured a stuntman. Acting in adventure movies like this may have been thrilling, but the action sequences are no joke, all the more so when one is tackling dinosaurs.

The actor has seemingly finished his tenure in the franchise with an upcoming reboot slated for a 2025 release. Despite starring in three installments already, Pratt is still open to returning whenever he gets the chance.

It's probably fair to say that the first trailer for Disney's live-action Snow White remake didn't go over particularly well with the majority of fans.
The teaser debuted during D23 earlier this month, and has now reached 1 million dislikes on YouTube.
An undeniable sign that fans are fed up with these remakes of beloved animated classics, or can we simply put this down to the negative backlash the movie has been hit with for months due to the perception that Disney is "enforcing a woke agenda" by casting Rachel Zegler in the lead and making several other significant changes to the original?
Honestly, even leaving the level of unwarranted hate and negativity aside, you'd be hard-pushed to find anyone who has a nice thing to say about this one - especially since the first official promo image revealed Snow White alongside seven... badly CGI'd humanoid creatures?
You can have another look at the trailer below.

Disney has revealed a first look trailer for the live-action re-imagining of the classic animated movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. At D23, Disney revealed the teaser trailer for Snow White, directed by Marc Webb, now set to open early 2025. "Disney invites you to return to the story that started it all..." Gal Gadot has starred in some of the biggest franchises in Hollywood and has established herself as a bankable action star. She became popular as Gisele from the Fast and Furious films and later would lead her own Dceu film with 2017’s Wonder Woman. Last October, we learned that Disney had delayed the Snow White remake by a year following a seemingly endless stream of negative headlines from mainstream media outlets.
However, in a bid to ease the minds of those angry about rumoured changes to the beloved story, the studio shared a cartoon-accurate shot of Rachel Zegler's Disney Princess alongside the Seven Dwarfs. Unfortunately, it backfired because the rough state of the visual effects was ridiculed and led many to accuse the studio of throwing the image together in a hurry.
Why? Well, we'd previously heard that there were no plans for the Seven Dwarfs to feature in Snow White, with the plan instead being to focus on a group of politically correct "Bandits." Following the massive release date delay, Disney seemingly acted fast to throw them into the mix with extensive reshoots which, according to lead star Rachel Zegler, have now wrapped.

To understand "Left Behind," one must understand a version of Christianity not widely practiced by many people outside certain pockets of the United States. In some American Evangelical churches, they preach of the coming Rapture, when all of the Christians on Earth -- including the dead ones -- will be bodily scooped up by God and transported into Heaven. The idea of a Rapture is taken from an interpretation from the Book of Thessalonians which didn't enter into the Christian lexicon until about the 1830s, making it a very recent development. When Evangelical churches began to become popular in the United States in the 1950s, a stripe of fundamentalist theology began embracing the Rapture as a prophecy that was almost immediately nigh.
On December 31, 1995, Baptist minister Jim Lahaye and author Jerry B. Jenkins published the Rapture-themed book "Left Behind: A Novel of the Earth's Last Days" to much ballyhoo. "Left Behind...

When Disney finds a trend that makes money, the company will more or less run it into the ground. If the Marvel Cinematic Universe is doing well, it will continue to churn out feature films and TV miniseries until the market is oversaturated. If "Pirates of the Caribbean" is successful, it will try out all the sequels, "Lone Rangers," and "John Carters" they can to emulate the same success. Over the last several years, Disney has struck gold with a series of big-budget remakes of its well-worn animated classics. "Aladdin," "The Lion King," "Beauty and the Beast," "The Little Mermaid," "Dumbo," and multiple others have been remade to the enthusiasm of audiences and to the indifference of critics.

Disney’s live-action remake of 1937’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs doesn’t come out until next year, but a culture war surrounding the film — titled Snow White — is already at full boil.
First, conservative critics took issue with casting of Latina star Rachel Zegler (West Side Story) as a character described in the original Brothers Grimm story as having “skin as white as snow,” and the production changing the formerly titular seven dwarfs into a diverse collection of magical creatures of varying sizes and genders.
Then 22-year-old Zegler caused a stir when a flurry of comments from late last year recently resurfaced that suggested she didn’t like the original film and that the new movie would take a very different approach to the iconic character.
“She’s not going to be dreaming about true love,” Zegler told Variety in September. “She’s dreaming about becoming the leader...

“Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?”
Fans were treated to the first look at Disney’s live-action “Snow White” remake at the D23 Expo on Friday, revealing Rachel Zegler in the role of the first-ever Disney princess.
The 30-second teaser, which was shown exclusively to attendees in the room and was not released online, opened with the Evil Queen’s iconic question to her magic mirror. Snow White dons her signature costume in the footage, which ends with her dropping the poisoned apple.
Stars Zegler and Gal Gadot were on hand to tease the film.
“I didn’t even see it! I didn’t see what you guys saw!” Zegler said in tears.

No one sets out to make a cult movie. Most filmmakers aspire to commercial heights even if they only have the budgets for a B-movie. They see films like Blair Witch realign box office accounting and apply all kinds of quantum physics to mimic the exponential multiplication. Very few achieve it, and the ones which do usually do it by accident, and certainly not with serious intent. Aliens, Clowns & Geeks is not afraid to be ridiculous. It joins the ranks as such brave films as Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Killer Klowns From Outer Space, and Frankenhooker.
It is also so much more than these films, dripping with artistry, and yet considerably less, with masturbating aliens, pussy ping pong, and sphincter-pinching obelisks. Richard Elfman’s sci-fi comedy has an abundance of experimental fun and a happily reckless disregard for taste. It owes as much to Frank Zappa as it does to Frank Capra,...

Forbidden Zone director Richard Elfman pulls a movie with the key to the universe out of his butt in Hipsters, Gangsters, Aliens & Geeks.
In the pantheon of cult movies, Forbidden Zone stands at high midnight. Richard Elfman's 1980 Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo vehicle was a one-of-a-kind film careening down on a one-way street to an oddly predestined end. On the clock of Midnight Movies, his upcoming Hipsters, Gangsters, Aliens & Geeks runs sometime after 3 a.m., striking after the popcorn has been swept under the seats by the night crew. Independent to its core and featuring Austin Powers' Verne Troyer in his last role, the movie cannot be brushed aside by the barrage of blockbusters. Hipsters, Gangsters, Aliens & Geeks is the antidote to mainstream and a breakneck cure for the run-of-the-mill.
Shot in a fast-paced, classic screen-comedy style, the film is intra-dimensional, extraterrestrial and sonically grounded.

The latest Pirates of the Caribbean film hoves into view next month, and with a fair more travelers than expected. Already the fifth film, subtitled Dead Men Tell No Tales in the Us and Salazar’s Revenge in the UK, has quite a cast but this new Japanese trailer gives up a cameo appearance of a character from the past. Obviously if you don’t want to know who it is then sail away to safer waters.
Ready?
It seems Keira Knightley’s Elizabeth Swann will be returning to the fold as the diabolical Javier Bardem’s Captain Salazar searches for his quarry – Captain Jack Sparrow. It may well be a rum-induced hallucination given the narrative built around an already busy cast, but the new trailer does show off a shot of Knightley in the mix.

Like a greased supine otter on a near-vertical water slide the latest Pirates of the Caribbean film is approaching us with gathering speed. Now is not the time to question the validity of a fifth film based on a theme park ride, nor to infer that, apart from a spirited opening film, the whole Potc enterprise has been one dealing in ever-increasing mediocrity. The last decade has seen a resurgence of the minimalist movie poster. The works of Olly Moss and Brickhut have seen some astonishing pieces of art, and have been rightly lauded. Boiling the essence of a film down to an iconic image takes great skill, and can become an emblem of a complex work of art. It is an artistic movement that the designers behind the latest poster for Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales would have done well to avail themselves of. The latest poster for the film is an absolute mess, with a kitchen sink approach to the many thousand elements at play in the sequel.
Splitting seas, monster sharks, cannon balls on fire screaming across the open waters – it’s all here. Along with the stock photos of the cast posing with a kind of serious intent that only contractual obligations can evoke.

While Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean series has never reclaimed the fun and spunk of its first outing, audiences have not tired of the series. Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow has become a beloved, if slightly sozzled, hero and the CG wash of the recent films have kept us coming back for more. Today there is a new trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
This time around the guest villain is Javier Bardem as Captain Salazar. He has a murky past with Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow and looks to seek his revenge from beyond the grave. He sets sail from a hellish place known, handily, as The Devil’s Triangle with his sights set on Sparrow.

Disney is taking its time with the upcoming fifth installment of its massively successful Pirates series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, hopefully because the studio recognized the need to reorient the franchise after 2011’s middling On Stranger Tides. We’ve heard from Orlando Bloom that the fivequel may act as a soft reboot, and that many new actors will board the franchise in major parts. Now, we’ve learned that Disney is zeroing in on The Maze Runner actress Kaya Scodelario for the lead female role.
Scodelario, who starred on the popular British series Skins before making the lead to blockbuster fare in last fall’s dystopian Maze Runner, is in early talks for the gig, according to Deadline. No details yet on who she will play outside of that the character will serve as a love interest for recently cast Brenton Thwaites, but Scodelario seems...

I read the synopsis of Left Behind aloud to a friend and at more or less the same moment we both said, “…so it’s The Leftovers?” I haven’t even seen that television programme, but knew enough about it that I could recognise personal hero Nic Cage’s latest vehicle to more than slightly recall the set up. For the uninitiated, the film asks what would happen to everyone else if the righteous were suddenly beamed out of our plane of existence, presumably ascended up to heaven. I understand that The Leftovers doesn’t directly address what has happened to those that vanished but in Left Behind we’re given a pretty clear indication that...

This is the second trailer we have to share with you today about a movie that deals with the rapture. This movie is called Left Behind, and in it Nicolas Cage faces off with the end of the world. I don't understand what Hollywood's fascination with the rapture is all of a sudden, but audiences are sure to get sick of it really fast. This movie looks pretty bad, and I don't think I'll be wasting my time watching it. What make me really sad is that these are the kinds of films that Cage has resorted to making.
Left Behind follows Rayford Steele (Cage), who is piloting a commercial airliner just hours after the Rapture when millions of people around the globe simply vanish. Thirty thousand feet over the Atlantic, Rayford is faced with a damaged plane, terrified passengers, and a desperate desire to get back to his family.

If HBO’s The Leftovers is too grim and depressing for you, but you still need to get your apocalyptic fix, look no further than Left Behind, which essentially utilizes that show’s same premise but adds in one key ingredient: Nicolas Cage. I know what they say – fool me once, shame on you, and all that – but the dramatic first trailer for this flick, which appears already destined for the bargain bin, is surprisingly solid.
A remake of the Kirk Cameron-led film of the same name, Left Behind centers on a small group of individuals who deal with an inexplicable cataclysm in which millions of people around the world suddenly vanish. Though Cage is billed as the star, and his character is front and center for much of the trailer, also highlighted is Switched at Birth actress Cassi Thomson, playing the daughter of Cage’s protagonist. Oh Nicolas Cage… why have you resorted to making these kinds of movies? You used to make really fun flicks like The Rock and Con Air, and you even won an Academy Award for Leaving Las Vegas! What the hell?!
Stoney Lake Entertainment has released a teaser trailer for his new film Left Behind, and it looks terrible. Cage isn't even trying to act. It is based on the New York Times bestselling book series of the same name, co-authored by Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim Lahaye.

What to Watch is back in two-week form this time around, hitting the most important Blu-ray, DVD, and streaming offerings from both March 25th and April 1st. No April Fool’s Day jokes here. We’re above that. Sorta. What you will find is one of the best movies of last year, a fantastic comedy series, a foreign film you really should see, and further proof that John Cusack is merely slipping into straight-to-dvd oblivion like that damn horse in “The Neverending Story”. Pick one of the six. What the Hell, pick two.

I have only myself to blame. After checking out the trailer for The Bag Man (previously Motel) and noting the presence of John Cusack and Robert De Niro, two actors who have done terrific work in the past (I mean, De Niro has two Oscars on his mantelpiece, for chrissake), I started to get a little excited for this indie crime thriller. Perhaps it would maintain a cool, neo-noir vibe, or at least give Cusack and De Niro a chance to craft nasty, interesting characters. Alas, that quantum of expectation simply made it all the more agonizing for me to sit through one of the laziest, dopiest thrillers I’ve seen in years.
The film starts off with a boring set-up, as criminal Jack (Cusack) gets an assignment from his big-shot boss Dragna (De Niro): pick up a bag and hold it at a seedy motel until Dragna arrives.

John Cusack and Robert De Niro star alongside each other in a crime thriller called The Bagman. We have the first trailer for the film for you to check out, and it looks pretty decent if you enjoy these kinds of films. The story follows a criminal who "bides his time at a seedy motel, waiting for his boss after killing several men and making away with a mystery bag." Other cast members include Crispin Glover, Rebecca Da Costa, and Martin Klebba, who play some interesting looking characters. Here's the official synopsis:
The Bag Man is a taut crime thriller that follows Jack (John Cusack), a tough guy with chronic bad luck but human touches, and legendary crime boss Dragna (Robert De Niro). Dragna has summoned Jack and a host of shady characters to a remote bayou motel for unknown reasons, and over the course of a long and violently eventful night,...

Due to scheduling conflicts actress Ashley Tisdale has had to be replaced on the new Vic Armstrong helmed project 'Left Behind' and the role of Chloe Steele has been handed over to 'Switched and Birth' and 'Big Love' star Cassi Thomson (below). Thomson plays the daughter of Nicolas Cage's character Raymond in the re-adaptation of the post-apocalyptic novel from Jerry B. I guess former “High School Musical” star Ashley Tisdale had other things to do. Maybe there’s another “Scary Movie” sequel out there that needs a perky blonde? Or, if we’re lucky, a “High School Musical” reunion movie! (One can only hope.) In any case, Tisdale is now out of the upcoming rapture movie “Left Behind”, and will be replaced by “Big Love” star Cassi Thompson. Thompson will play the daughter of Nicolas Cage’s character, a pilot onboard a plane when the rapture hits and people start disappearing, leaving behind a world filled with sinners. Thompson’s character, meanwhile, will be “trying to find her mother and brother in a post-apocalyptic landscape”. I guess both father and daughter are sinners, huh? “Left Behind” will be based on the series of bestselling Christian novels by Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins, and will co-star Martin Klebba, Nicky Whelan, Chad Michael Murray...

I'll warn you right now; this film trailer lacks the quality of a big budget movie. That being said it does feature a crazy puppet, former WCW star Diamond Dallas Page, pro football player Josh Cribbs, Scrubs' little janitor Martin Klebba, and friend of South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, Dian Bachar. The film looks to be serious, and in some portions it does succeed in looking very creepy. I'm sure this one will at least get a Netflix release so watch the trailer and be on the lookout for it sometime next year.
