"Your daughter always has red eyes!" "Doesn't your child have memory problems?" Gravitas has unveiled an official trailer for a wild, weed comedy called Fourth Grade, from a Brazilian director named Marcelo Galvão. This was made in the US and after premiering at one fest in 2021 hasn't been released until now. When a brick of weed is found in a fourth-grade classroom, the students' parents gather in an emergency meeting full of accusations and intrigue. Uproarious chaos will quickly follow after some of them agree to share a joint. In the process, fragile and obscure secrets are revealed, and perspectives begin to shift... The weed problem is exposed as hypocrisy, and heartfelt truths & camaraderie blossom. Of course. The film stars William Baldwin, Teri Polo, Mena Suvari, Boti Bliss, Ben Begley, Challen Cates, and Roland Kickinger. This looks so bad, surprise surprise folks, but at least they start smoking up and letting loose.

Exclusive: Gravitas Ventures on Wednesday announced their acquisition of North American rights to Fourth Grade, a comedy starring William Baldwin (Backdraft), Teri Polo (Meet the Parents), Mena Suvari (American Beauty) and Ben Begley (For All Mankind) that will be released on demand and in theaters in around 10 markets on July 14.
Written and directed by Brazil’s Marcelo Galvão, Fourth Grade takes place at a prestigious, private, Catholic elementary school, where a principal and a drama teacher gather the parents of the 4th grade students to discuss an alarming situation: a brick of marijuana found in the theater class. To protect the school’s reputation, they need to expel the kid responsible for the weed.
10 wealthy parents from Pacific Palisades, CA and Eddie (Ben Begley), an outsider whose daughter just won a scholarship, arrive at the meeting. And after an aggressive discussion, the principal and the drama teacher leave the room.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is nothing if not a man of his word, and after first saying he’d be back in 1984, he’s certainly kept up his end of the bargain. The action icon has starred in four of the five Terminator sequels, after sitting out Salvation but technically making an appearance when his face was unconvincingly pasted onto Roland Kickinger, who at least fit the physical bill as an Austrian bodybuilder.
The actor was 37 years old the first time he played the iconic character, and the franchise has had to keep coming up with new ways to explain why the Cyberdyne Systems Model 101 now looks like an old human male when it’s supposed to be a highly efficient killing machine from the future, with Dark Fate even rechristening him as family man and traveling salesman Carl.

Trying to make sense of the Terminator timeline is a close to impossible task, after the last three relaunches muddied the narrative waters to an unrecognizable degree. The only thing Salvation, Genisys and Dark Fate have in common, in fact, is that they were all lauded by the respective creative teams as the sequel that fans had been waiting for since Judgment Day, and would act as the first installment in a brand new trilogy.
After consecutive disappointments, though, even the return of Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor and James Cameron’s presence as co-writer and producer weren’t enough to save Dark Fate from disaster, and it wound up as one of the biggest box office bombs of last year after losing Paramount $120 million.
Star Mackenzie Davis admitted that the fans have pretty much lost any interest in the franchise by this point, something the numbers made very clear.

Teri Polo, William Baldwin, Mena Suvari, and Robert Pine have been tapped to star in Fourth Grade B, a comedy-drama written by Marcelo Galvão. The indie is an American remake of Galvão’s 2005 Brazilian feature Quarta B. It’s described as a satirical portrayal of a private school’s emergency meeting filled with accusations and intrigue, as each parent tries to protect their own child and the uproarious chaos that follows the decision to light up a joint. Pamela Dunlap, Roland Kickinger, Ben Begley, Challen Cates, Taja V. Simpson, Boti Bliss, Rob Norton, Kelli Daniels, Jamison Jones, and Jiu-Jitsu celebrity trainer Rigan Machado co-star. Galvão produced the Wolf in a Pack production pic with Gabriela Kulaif and executive producers Giordano Biagi and Caio Vecchio. Galvão’s credits...

Since leaving the office, Arnold Schwarzenegger has returned to action movies by going back-to-back on a couple projects, first shooting for a few days on The Expendables 2 and then a larger role in the upcoming action-thriller The Last Stand. Schwarzenegger started shooting The Tomb with Expendables co-star and good pal Sylvester Stallone in May, and is also attached to star in the action-thriller Ten for director David Ayer (End of Watch, Dark Blue), which has another new lead attached — Sam Worthington.
Variety reports Worthington has an offer he is likely to accept to appear in Ten, which is loosely based on Agatha Christie's 1939 novel Ten Little Indians. In Ayer's version, written by Skip Woods (The A-Team, A Good Day to Die Hard), Schwarzenegger and Worthington play members of an elite DEA task force that rob a dangerous drug cartel and think they have gotten away with the crime...

"Conan the Barbarian" star Jason Momoa hasn't actually seen the previous versions of his sword-swinging adventure — or, as he once put it to MTV News, "the Arnold stuff" — but we have clear-enough memories to know Schwarzenegger's franchise became straight-up silly after the 1982 original and was in desperate need of contemporary reinvention.
Robert E. Howard's barbaric creation deserved better than a faceoff with Wilt Chamberlain in "Conan the Destroyer." Conan finally got it, with Momoa's new film hitting theaters on Friday (August 19). But there was a long and rocky path toward that theatrical release, with filmmakers joining then quickly departing the project and various Hollywood players being unable to kick things into production. Come with us on a journey called the MTV News cheat sheet,...

Rejoice Stargate: Atlantis fans as your very own Jason Momoa is going from Ronan to Conan. Yes the rhyming lead was inevitable and cheesy but I am cheesy guy so deal with it. Last week we reported the casting of the title role in Marcus Nispel’s remake was down to two actors. Deadline Hollywood Daily is reporting that Jason Momoa has signed on to play the barbarian Conan in the new remake.
The race was between Momoa and Kellen Lutz, but apparently Momoa was won over by director Marcus Nispel and he won over the studio by filming a few scenes wielding a giant sword. The casting means the film is on track to start production on March 15, with filming to take place in Bulgaria.

Rose McGowan revealed in November that she thinks the adaptation of Red Sonja will "start filming again in maybe a year," but it looks like she and producer Robert Rodriguez will likely have to wait longer than that. In an interview with ComicBookResources, Luke Lieberman, a Red Sonja comic book writer and executive producer for the movie, revealed that the Conan reboot is shooting first.
There are a few things brewing, but it looks like they are going to shoot Conan first, in the early spring.
The Marcus Nispel-directed reboot of Conan has yet to choose its leading man, though the part is rumored to be between X2: X-Men United's Daniel Cudmore and Terminator Salvation's Arnold Schwarznegger-body double Roland Kickinger.

Everyone is understandably curious to learn who will play Conan in director Marcus Nispel's cinematic reboot of Robert E. Howard's mythical conqueror. While attending a 'Twilight' convention this weekend, comicbookmovie.com had an opportunity to speak with Daniel Cudmore — who played Colossus in the 'X-Men' franchise — who revealed a little more info about the Conan remake.
Cudmore said that the new film will be much darker than the Schwarzenegger versions, and that there are currently two contenders for the lead role: himself and Roland Kickinger.
An Austrian by birth, Kickinger is perhaps best known for doubling as Arnold in last summer's Terminator Salvation, and for portraying the Austrian bodybuilder in the biopic See Arnold Run.
Cudmore, on the other hand, is, at 28, younger than Kickinger, and 6'7" tall.
So while one of these guys has the height advantage (Cudmore), the other appears to have a slight breadth advantage...

MTV News caught up with Dolph Lundgren who said that he is talking to producers of Conan and might be making an appearance in the reboot.
“I’ve talked to the producers about doing something for ‘Conan,’” Lundgren said, as he cautioned that casting is still going on and whether there is a role for him at all likely wouldn’t be decided until 2010…It’s too early,” he said, explaining that he didn’t expect to know more until “probably next year.”
Directed by Marcus Nispel, the Lionsgate film is based on Robert E. Howard’s mythical conqueror Conan the Barbarian. The new version is expected to be more faithful to Howard’s original creation than were the Arnold Schwarzenegger films.
I have been weary about this film from the start only because I love Schwarzenegger’s original so much. Secondly the plot of the film really didn’t get me going.

/Film pointed us to a detailed breakdown for the characters in Marcus Nispel’s reboot of Conan The Barbarian, which is scheduled to begin shooting in Bulgaria in February. Nispel brought us Friday the 13th (2009) and The Very Best of Cher: The Video Hits Collection. If he can slip the right character into that “If I Could Turn Back Time” outfit, I’ll go see Conan in the theaters 32 times. However, dress that outfit on the wrong character and who knows how many cities will burn?

Yesterday we ran a story about the Coen brother's True Grit and remarked that, despite being a remake, the players involved and the creative minds behind the project made the idea more that palatable. Unfortunately, a recently released casting sheet for Conan reminds us that not all remakes have as much thought going into them. Helmed by Marcus Nispel, the genius behind both the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday the 13th reboots, the film is scheduled to start filming in Bulgaria early next year, but has not yet cast any actors, though Roland Kickinger's name has been tossed around since June. Looking to fill some slots, Moviehole has gotten their hands on a casting sheet that outlines 21 different roles they are searching for, including the three leads. It's hard to believe that it's come to this, but I feel this film is going to remind us all how much...

From Splash Page: Last week, the new “Conan” found its director in the gore-happy Marcus Nispel (”Friday the 13th”). The hunt was on for the man to wield the broadsword, and Lionsgate was said to be on the lookout for an unknown to play the iconic part. The Hollywood Reporter is claiming that they may have found him …. and he’s a dead ringer for cinema’s first Conan, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Austrian actor Roland Kickinger is currently in talks to star in the remake, and is not only a physical match for the original “Conan the Barbarian” actor, but he shares a similar biography. He’s a body-builder turned actor, and he had a role as a T-800 in this summer’s “Terminator: Salvation.” He also played Ah-nuld in “See Arnold Run,” an A&E biopic about the Schwarzenegger’s run for the California governor’s office.

Roland Kickinger is in talks to play the lead role in the new Conan film, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Biz Blog.
The barbarian warrior was previously brought to the screen in two movies starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, in 1982 and 1984.
Kickinger played the body of the T-800 in new sci-fi prequel Terminator Salvation, with Arnie's face digitally added to recreate the Terminator role he portrayed in the previous films.
The 41-year-old Austrian bodybuilder-turned-actor (pictured above) also played a younger version of the California governor in the 2005 biopic See Arnold Run.
But Latino Review claims its studio sources have dismissed the report as untrue. The site says a casting director has not been hired by Lionsgate and Nu Image/Millennium, the two companies behind the Conan reboot.
Marcus Nispel was recently named as the director of Conan, with shooting to begin in the autumn.

Here's an interesting story. Way back when, before anyone had even seen Terminator Salvation yet, news hit that an Austrian bodybuilder named Roland Kickinger had been cast to play the T-800 instead of Arnold Schwarzenegger. As we later found out, he was cast for his body, not his face. But now numerous sites are reporting that Kickinger has been cast in Lionsgate's Conan reboot that Marcus Nispel will direct. One of those sites is the Risky Biz Blog, run by the Hollywood Reporter's Steven Zeitchik, and they usually run only officially confirmed news. However, El Mayimbe on Latino Review is claiming this is all bullshit. So who is right? Well, Zeitchik says that Kickinger is "in talks," which means it's not official. But they were convinced enough to run a story. On the flipside, El Mayimbe claims that "I have a super solid source at both Lionsgate and Millenium and...

Rumors and speculation are circulating around the Internets this morning that Lionsgate and Nu Image/Millennium films have finally cast the main role of Conan in their upcoming reboot of the franchise. Apparently, 41-year-old Austrian actor Roland Kickinger is in talks to play the title role that Arnold Schwarzenegger made famous in the 1982 classic Conan the Barbarian.
Sure, that makes sense, they want someone similar to Arnold, right? But wait, it gets a bit odder. Like Schwarzenegger, Kickinger is a bodybuilder- turned-actor from Austria. And, Kickinger also had a role as a T-800 in the Terminator franchise, which he plays in Warner Bros.’ current Terminator Salvation. And, to push it even farther over the edge, Kickinger actually played Schwarzenegger in a movie — the 2005 A&E biopic about the actor-turned-politician called See Arnold Run. I know, right?

Sure, that makes sense, they want someone similar to Arnold, right? But wait, it gets a bit odder. Like Schwarzenegger, Kickinger is a bodybuilder- turned-actor from Austria. And, Kickinger also had a role as a T-800 in the Terminator franchise, which he plays in Warner Bros.’ current Terminator Salvation. A new journey to the world of Cimmeria has been in the works for eons, with a slew of delays, casting rumors, and rewrites keeping the project barely puttering. Just look here to freshen up. But now ... the new Conan the Barbarian may have been found. And he bares a striking resemblance to the last. (My emphasis of that word will make sense in a second.)
The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Biz Blog reports that Lionsgate and Nu Image/Millennium are not interested in finding a fresh Conan, but grabbing an Arnold Schwarzenegger look-alike. They're in talks with Roland Kickinger -- a 41-year-old actor who, just like Arnie, is from Austria, is a body-builder-turned-actor, had a role as a T-800, and even played a Conan-era Arnie in See Arnold Run. Talk about the Schwarz being with you ... and about a lack of casting creativity!
Could this, perchance, be a little over-the-top?...

Last week, the new “Conan” found its director in the gore-happy Marcus Nispel (”Friday the 13th”).

Lionsgate and Nu Image/Millenium may have found their star for their new "Conan" flick. The actor is Austrian Roland Kickinger who, like Arnold Schwarzenegger, is a bodybuilder-turned-actor from a Central European Country. Also, like Arnold, he had a role in "Terminator" - a part as a 7-800 in the latest "Terminator Salvation" from Warner Bros. Most odd is that Kickinger actually played Arnold in his Conan-era in the biopic "See Arnold Run." The 41 year-old actor is in talks with the companies and there are very little details on what the new. Lensing begins this dall in Avi Lerner's studio in Bulgaria.

Lionsgate and Nu Image/Millennium have apparently found their new Conan - in the massive form of 41-year-old Austrian bodybuilder-turned-actor Roland Kickinger.
Kickinger, who hails from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s homeland, played the body double for the Governator in Terminator Salvation (yes, that was his body that the CGI Arnie’s face was pasted over), and has also doubled for California’s Governor in a 2005 TV movie called “See Arnold Run”.
While it’s reported that they’re still in discussions over the casting choice, I think this could be a very wise move for the studios, after all the original 1982 classic “Conan The Barbarian” launched Arnie’s career - could it do the same for Kickinger?
Few details have been released for the remake, although the film is expected to take a more modern approach to the story, with filmmakers taking influence from more recent action pics. Shooting will begin...

I personally don't do debunk stories but it gives me great pleasure to debunk The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Biz Blog story tonight on the casting of Conan. Guess what folks? Roland Kickinger as Conan Is Complete And Utter Bullshit! Not Fucking True! Trust me guys, I have a super solid source at both Lionsgate and Millenium and they laughed their asses off! Folks, Lionsgate hasn't even hired a casting director yet! Kickinger as Conan?! Folks, think how on the nose and ludicrous that sounds. Whatever! Trust me on this one please! There ya have it... We may have our replacement Schwarzenegger. Lionsgate and Nu Image films have been on a search for a new, heavily-muscled badass to take over for Arnold as Conan in their upcoming remake of Conan the Barbarian. Risky Biz Blog says they.ve picked a muscle-head named Roland Kickinger. Here.s the fun part: This will be the second time he.s taken over a Schwarzenegger role. He played the T-800 in Terminator Salvation, with a little help from digital wizardry which made his face look like Arnold.s. 41-year-old Kickinger, much like Schwarzenegger, is a body builder turned actor and he.s even from a Central European accent which should mean, some sort of funny accent. He also portrayed Arnold as Conan in a re-enactment for the A&E documentary See Arnold Run. Basically for the past few years, pretty much all this guy has done is run around ...

Risky Biz Blog has reported that Lionsgate and Nu Image/Millennium may have found the star for their Conan remake: 41-year-old Austrian actor Roland Kickinger, who is in talks to play the role that Arnold Schwarzenegger christened in the 1982 classic Conan The Barbarian.
Apparently, there are some other uncanny similarities: Kickinger is also a bodybuilder-turned-actor from the Central European country, and he also had a role as a T-800 in the Terminator Salvation.
Kickinger also played a Conan The Barbarian-era version of Schwarzenegger in See Arnold Run, the 2005 A&E biopic about the actor-turned-politician.
Shooting will begin in the fall at Avi Lerner's Bulgaria-based studio. Marcus Nispel (Friday the 13th) will direct.

Lionsgate and Nu Image/Millennium, the two companies behind the Conan reboot, might have found their new Conan -- and he bears striking similarities to the old Conan.
The companies are in talks with a 41-year-old Austrian actor named Roland Kickinger to play the title role that Arnold Schwarzenegger made famous in the 1982 classic "Conan the Barbarian."
There are more than a few eerie parallels between the personalities.
Like Schwarzenegger, Kickinger is a bodybuilder- turned-actor from the Central European country.
Like the California governor, he also had a role as a T-800 in the "Terminator" franchise (in Warner Bros.' current "Terminator Salvation").

With Terminator Salvation now in cinemas here in the UK, we don't feel it's too spoilerific to link to the latest Salvation TV spot, which shows just a glimpse of the Arnie-rific moment in the last act where we come face-to-face with our old friend, the T-800, as played by body-builder Roland Kickinger and a 1980s digitally-rendered Arnold Schwarzenegger. And news has also emerged that the Governator is being pursued to appear in Predators, Robert Rodriguez' sequel in the dreadlocked alien hunter franchise. Moviehole reports that Schwarzenegger has been asked to return as Major Alan 'Dutch' Schaefer, in a part that would require just a couple of days shooting. The Schwarzenegger camp is apparently yet to respond to the request, so file this firmly under "remote possibility" for now. Predators is due out in July 2010, which means that Schwarzenegger will still be Governor for the whole of its production...

Fact is, Warner Bros is using the Schwarzenegger cameo in new TV spots for the film, which is what we have here.
And how's the film doing up to this point? Well, the $200M production has currently netted $95M domestically and another $25M. However, since Salvation has yet to open in several other regions, we won't know for a while if it breaks even, and more importantly garners a profit...which will ultimately determine whether or not we ever see a sequel.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is standing by his famous 'Terminator' line, "I'll be back." Schwarzenegger's character the T-800 cyborg from the original 'Terminator' film will appear in 'Terminator Salvation,' the Associated Press reports. The California governor previously hinted that his character might make an appearance in the new film. Roland Kickinger will appear as the T-800 robot originally played by Schwarzenegger, the AP reports. 'Terminator Salvation' hits theaters May 21.

There have been better kept secrets over the past few months, that's for sure. So it's finally confirmed that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will be in Terminator Salvation. Sort of.
IESB says "a CGI version of his original bodycast" from the first Terminator will appear in the new film, which is quite a bit different from the story that had been floating around for a few months that Schwarzenegger's face (either new or retro) would be digitized over that of Roland Kickinger, who plays a T-600 version of the terminator.

In the “Ask the Governor” webcast this week, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger addressed questions about his involvement with Terminator Salvation. The former action star retired from acting shortly after he was sworn into office in 2003. He appeared in the original Terminator trilogy as a “cybernetic organism” and has been rumored to be in the new movie in some capacity. Now we know more about his cameo.
Schwarzenegger said in the webcast he “may appear” in the movie, but didn’t want to act. How is that possible, you might ask? Well, according to Variety, director McG pulled a body-cast mold of the actor out of storage after 25 years and used it as the basis for a computer generated character in his likeness. A ripped actor named Roland Kickinger provided the motion capture and then Arnold’s face will be laid over the movements to create the character. Since the robot doesn’t speak,...

Recently we reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger agreed to a cameo in Terminator Salvation as long as the project didn't require him to perform, and provided that the filmmakers could get the technology together. Schwarzenegger confirmed to the La Times that the technology in question would involve superimposing his face onto Schwarzenegger look-alike, Roland Kickinger.
Now, IESB has learned that Schwarzenegger has been secretly working with McG and the effects team to reprise his role, but not utilizing acting, per se. A body-cast mold of Schwarzenegger, first created for the original Terminator film, provided the basis for a digital-effects model of his famous character. The figure appears in Salvation as a living, breathing actor.
Now, finally, we have some understanding of the context in which this "technical hurdle" was being discussed. We're not sure if this has been done technically before, so it should be fascinating to see how Ilm pulls it off.

[Update: It has been confirmed that we will be seeing a CGI version of Arnold in the film.]
Last week Screen Rant reported on the status of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s possible cameo in the upcoming sci-fi blockbuster Terminator Salvation. The Governator’s involvement with T4 has been looking increasingly doubtful, considering that it’s already mid-April, the film is just over a month away, and his cameo hasn’t even been locked down yet (better get on that one, McG…).
In a recent webcast interview, Schwarzenegger talked about his proposed cameo in Salvation. One bit of info he gave was pretty conflicting: he said he met with the director (McG) and agreed to be in the film, so long as he didn’t have to perform.
I’m sorry, Arnie… what?…
Turns out Schwarzenegger was referring to the question of whether or not it would be actually him who appeared in the film, or just his face, which McG has said he wanted to superimpose over the body...

The Los Angeles Times reports that Arnold Schwarzenegger discussed his possible cameo in Terminator Salvation during a webcast interview on Tuesday.

"I said that I would be willing to be in the movie if they get the technology together, and so they are working on that right now."

Not a day goes by when I don’t flip-flop on the issue of whether or not I’ll be seeing Terminator Salvation when it explodes into screen on May 21st. On the one hand, the first two films were cinematic masterpieces, exercises in maintaining tension, fear and incredible action for as long as possible. The third film was a bit of a wet fish, but I truly loved the ending. Now we’re gearing up for the fourth film and the start of the second trilogy… I still don’t know where I stand on it.
Thank God, then, for McG. Seemingly knowing the enormity of the task ahead of him, he’s pulling out all the stops to make it worthwhile. Including, it seems, trying to get Arnie himself to appear in the movie in some way…

Fan website TheArnoldFans recently attended the California Museum' California Hall of Fame induction ceremony, primarily because it was a good chance to stalk the Governator. But they asked a fairly pertinent question while on the premises: Exactly what will Arnold Schwarzenegger be doing in Terminator Salvation?
There have been rumors about Arnold's face was going to be pasted onto the body of look-alike Roland Kickinger and that the governor had recorded dialogue for the T-600, an earlier model of Schwarzenegger's famed T-800 design. But neither McG nor anyone else associated with the film has confirmed that Schwarzengger is involved in any official capacity. We know he visited the set, but that's hardly a surprise.
So will Arnold be the voice of the new but old Terminator? "You never know," he said. Perhaps that's true, but wouldn't Arnold know? This guy's hiding something...

Directed by McG, it is the fourth film in the Terminator franchise and stars Christian Bale as John Connor, Bryce Dallas Howard, Anton Yelchin and Sam Worthington. The film, set in 2018, focuses on the original war between humanity and the Terminator computer network Skynet, and it abandons the formula of the series (Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800 Model 101 Terminator time traveling to the present to protect or kill someone of future importance).
