Aleksei Kapler was born on 28 September 1904 in Kiev, Russian Empire [now Ukraine]. He was a writer and director, known for Lenin in October (1937), Lenin in 1918 (1939) and Shakhta 12-28 (1931). He was married to Valentina Tokarskaya. He died on 11 September 1979 in Moscow, RSFSR, USSR [now Russia].
