Gyula Kabos was born on March 19, 1887 in Budapest, Austria-Hungary [now Hungary]. He was an actor, known for Hyppolit a lakáj (1931), Halló Budapest! (1935) and A papucshös (1938). He was married to Mária Puhalag. He died on October 6, 1941 in New York City, New York, USA.
Was a successful dramatic actor, but after Hyppolit a lakáj (1931) he was typecast as a comedian and only appeared in comedies on stage and on screen.
He left Hungary because of Nazism and arrived to the US in 1939. He
thought that he would become a famous comedian (like in his homeland),
but he wasn't discovered and slid into poverty. Finally he died by his 3rd heart attack in 1941.
