Billy, a massive, hulking of a young man with the intellectual capacity of a preschooler, has had the unique opportunity to grow up in a house next to a drive in theater that specializes in showing gore-soaked slasher films. Confined to his room for most of his existence, he passes his time at night watching these violent movies play out on the big screen directly in view of his bedroom window. One night, when pushed too far by his uncaring babysitter, Billy snaps. After killing the babysitter, Billy escapes his house and heads to the only place he knows; the Drive In theater, which is replete with obnoxious high school kids who became the prime focus of his murderous rampage.
Admittedly, Drive In actually has a pretty decent premise hidden somewhere underneath the pretty...

Calleigh (Emily Procter) and Ryan (Jonathan Togo) answer a 911 call and give chase to a suspect. Think this is the first in a chase scene for Calleigh. I'm sure the heels of her boots kept changing, everytime the shots were replaced with her stuntwoman. Calleigh finds the suspect in the swimming pool, pretending to be swimming but the pool water turns red from the blood on his pants. Horatio (David Caruso) joins them in the chase and his stuntman was so obvious from the back. Can't beat CSI:ny for chase scenes! Horatio comments that "maybe he's still here." The boy denies killing the girl but he's caught out since no one mentioned any girl as Calleigh tells him. The news reports the death of Summer Davenport. The suspect, Zach (Eric Jungmann) who is homeless, says he climbed in through an open window and never saw her. Tripp (Rex Linn) says...

MILAN -- Los Angeles-based production and international sales company Dream Entertainment said Sunday that it has closed a slew of territories for its horror picture Monster Man in an early bout of MIFED dealmaking. The movie has been sold to Kinowelt in Germany, Gaga in Japan and Magna Pacific in Australia, with Les Films de l'Elysee picking up Benelux rights. Deals were also closed for Scandinavia (Scanbox) South Africa (Warner Newmetro), Mexico (Gussi), Greece (Village Roadshow), as well as Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and the Middle East. Directed by Michael Davis, Monster Man follows two university buddies on a cross-country drive with a sexy, mysterious hitch-hiker. Their trip takes a bad turn when a Big Black truck starts following them. The film stars Eric Jungmann, Justin Ulrich and Aimee Brooks. The movie has been selected for the Sitges Film Festival, which specializes in fantasy and horror and which unspools in Spain at the end of this month. The deals were announced by Dream's chairman and CEO Ehud Bleiberg and president Yitzhak Ginsberg. "These robust sales prove once again that in today's market -- both domestic and international -- a good horror film has legs," Bleiberg said. Dream Entertainment co-produced the movie with Lions Gate Films, which will distribute in North America. The film's producers are Bleiberg, Ginsberg and Larry Rattner.
