Chicago – Theatrical satires of the Star Wars Universe are like the number of TV series the universe has wrought … too many to figure out if anything is worthwhile. But “Trade Federation” (subtitled “Or Let’s Explore Globalization Through the Star Wars Prequels”), presented by Otherworld Theatre in Wrigleyville Chicago, gets it right on. By inculcating the dreary prequel trilogy (1999-2005) with geopolitics, it meshes the love of Star Wars with a smart new generation of artists who use it for inspiration and evolution. It has a short run through May 13th, click Trade Fed for tickets and dates.

Marques Houston is being criticised for saying that women his age often come with “baggage or kids”.
The 41-year-old singer and actor, who is married to 22-year-old Miya Dickey, was attempting to explain why he preferred to date women who were younger than him.
“A red flag to me [was] always with a woman that had a kid,” he told Page Six. “Nothing against single women, but single mothers with children are a red flag for me.
“I tip my hat and respect women that are raising children on their own,” he added. “But when I grew up, I never really wanted to have kids.
“I would talk to my dad a lot, and he would always tell me to have your own kids because you never know what the baby daddy’s are about. So if you’re gonna have kids, make sure it is with a woman that never had kids.

St Kitts, Aug 31 (Ians) High on confidence after leading her Barbados Royals team to win the inaugural season of The 6Ixty, all-rounder Hayley Matthews’ excitement is palpable.
“Obviously it has been so exciting for everyone. The girls went out and played some great cricket all tournament long, so I think this win has given everyone a lot of confidence and belief going into the Women’s Cpl,” Matthews said in a statement.
From one inaugural season to the next, Matthews’ Barbados Royals team will kick-start their Women’s Cpl campaign against Trinbago Knight Riders, and the 25-year-old believes there’s no need for her team to change their approach much.
“I think for us, it has been about taking it one game at a time. We want to focus on our skills and on the aspects which are under our control. We did have a tough start to the 6Ixty,...
