    • Rita Jolivet was born on September 25, 1884 in Castleton, New York, USA. She was an actress, known for Theodora (1921), Roger la Honte (1922) and Lest We Forget (1918). She was married to 'Count Guiseppe de Cippico', Alfred Charles Stern and James Bryce Allan. She died on March 2, 1971 in Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, France.

  • Sailed on and survived the last voyage of the Lusitania when the ship was torpedoed off Ireland's Old Head of Kinsale on 7 May 1915.
  • Was also known as the Countess de Cippico.
  • Jolivet's sister, Inez, committed suicide after her husband, George Vernon, was lost on the Lusitania.
  • Jolivet gave a vivid description of the sinking of the Lusitania as a witness in the Admiralty Branch of the Federal District Court in New York. Her testimony was related to 67 lawsuits seeking a total of $6,000,000 in damages from the Cunard Steamship Company, owner of the Lusitania.
