The cast of Steven Soderbergh’s spy thriller Black Bag expands today with Regé-Jean Page joining Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett. Soderbergh directs from a script by David Koepp, with Caset Silver and Greg Jacobs producing. Focus Features is setting up Black Bag, with filming happening in London. Plot details remain a mystery. However, the film’s story is a spy thriller unfolding in the United Kingdom.
As The Hollywood Reporter pointed out in January, Soderbergh and Blanchett previously worked together on his 2006 noir thriller The Good German. Blanchett played a part in the film Ocean’s 8, as part of Soderbergh’s Ocean’s 11 franchise. Soderbergh produced Ocean’s 8 but didn’t direct that one. He and Fassbender previously worked together on his 2011 action thriller Haywire. And in addition to collaborating on Presence, Soderbergh and Koepp also worked together on the 2022 thriller Kimi.

A car crash provokes a torrent of toxic masculinity, but this strange film is neither surreal nor psychologically insightful enough
Adapted from a play by Terry Hughes, this pent-up and then purgatively violent drama revolves around an offscreen car accident that sends a handful of characters colliding into each other. Clearly already dancing a miserable tango of abuse, Nicole (Olivia Bonamy) and Steve (Ben Cura) come home to their isolated house in the country, decorated in shades of taupe, grey and plum to match Nicole’s bruises, after Steve runs over a stranger on the road on the way home from a party. Though he was driving and chose to leave the scene of the crime, he still blames Nicole for distracting him with an argument. As this display of toxic masculinity approaches its full operatic pitch, suddenly there’s someone at the door: policeman (Samuel West), all creepy chirpy banter,...

Goldfinch has four new productions on its slate, including a project from writer-director Carl Strathie, whose Steven Ogg and Alice Lowe-starring Solis is in post-production.
The latest project, which is currently casting up in pre-production, is a sci-fi titled The Encounter set in rural Philadelphia in the early 1980s that follows a family who are terrorised by otherworldly beings.

Some actors might take umbrage if the title of their career retrospective was "Over the Top." Not John Lithgow. The notoriously affable actor says of his sometimes oversized acting, "Well, it's kind of my trademark. There's no getting around it."
Lithgow will be speaking at the Los Angeles Film Festival in an event titled "Over the Top: An Evening With John Lithgow" on June 22, at 8 p.m. at the Regal 12 Cinema in downtown L.A. The conversation, moderated by festival artistic director David Ansen, will be accompanied by two of Lithgow's biggest and most memorable performances: madcap Dr. Emilio Lizardo in the 1984 sci-fi romp "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai" and the terrified plane passenger in the segment "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" from the 1983 anthology film "Twilight Zone: The Movie."

It is reported that classic 1980s film entitled "Teen Wolf" is set to get its remake version. Warner Bros. Pictures, according to Moviehole, are currently in an early development to reinterpret the werewolf movie. The studio, which bought the rights to the film series four or five years ago, are further said to be looking for a screenwriter.
However, the studio haven't chosen anyone to helm the movie project. Additionally, Moviehole noted that the casting won't begin until the studio decide on the script.
The original Rod Daniels' 1985 box office hit tells the story of a teenager who finds out that he is a werewolf, just like his father. Understanding his new-found condition can work to his advantages, he then uses it to wow people with his basketball skill and gains popularity. But, he soon finds out the dark side of his "curse". Michael J. Fox stars as the teenager.

It appears that Warner Bros. is actively looking for a writer to tackle a new approach toward the much beloved classic Teen Wolf. No surprise, really, but it still hurts a little.
Moviehole broke the news, and while Warner is "not quite certain which way they’re going to go," a lot of people seem to think that Zac Efron will be the first person tapped for the role Michael J. Fox made so famous. But with no script and no director, it'll no doubt be a while before casting comes into play, and who knows who will be the hot thing by then?
Plus, as Moviehole reminds us, Upn briefly flirted with a live-action “Teen Wolf” TV series in 2003, hiring Terry Hughes and Ron Milbauer to write the pilot for a potential series about a college kid (as opposed to a high school kid) who discovers he’s got hairy palms.

Warner Bros is currently in search of writers to remake Michael J Fox's 1985 film Teen Wolf, reports Moviehole.
According to the site, a director has yet to be hired, and the studio won't begin casting until the script is complete.
In the original film, a high school teenager discovers that he can turn into a werewolf like his father. As a result, he becomes popular among girls and a great basketball player.
A sequel to Teen Wolf was released two years later, featuring Jason Bateman in the lead role.
Upn briefly considered a live-action Teen Wolf TV series in 2003, and hired Terry Hughes and Ron Milbauer to write the pilot, which never got off the ground.

UPN is developing a drama series with Warner Bros. TV loosely based on the 1985 Michael J. Fox feature Teen Wolf. The network is angling for a Buffy the Vampire Slayer-esque vehicle about a college student who discovers that he's a werewolf. Terry Hughes and Ron Milbauer are penning the script and will executive produce alongside Jennifer Gwartz and Danielle Stokdyk. Gwartz and Stokdyk were recently tapped to oversee TV for Joel Silver's Warner Bros.-based production company, but Silver's company is not involved with the Teen Wolf project.
