Father-in-law of former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Drew Pearson.
Played for the Independent League Harlem Globetrotters (1946-1953,
1972-1979), IL Harlem Magicians (1953-1972, 1983-1992), IL Bucketeers
(1979-1981) and IL Harlem Wizards (1981-1983).
He was the first Globetrotter to be enshrined in the Naismith
Basketball Hall of Fame.
Inducted into the Oklahoma Hal of Fame in 2001.
Has two daughters: Marsha Haynes Pearson, and Marquetta Gregory, one sister, Myrtle Elliott Hightower, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
