As Kingpin once said, “The people need to be reminded that the city belongs to me.” And apparently all of the Kingpin reading material belongs to Vincent D’Onofrio, who has consumed just about every piece he can get his hands on.
Speaking with ComicBook.com, D’Onofrio said, “I’ve seen everything that involved [Wilson] Fisk that’s up to this point. I mean, there’s some of the new runs, the Kingpin runs that I haven’t looked at yet, but as far as everything, any canon that connects Fisk I’ve read.” We sense a little slacking from D’Onofrio, but then again, considering just how much Kingpin material is out there, we can’t entirely fault him for falling behind.
As far as which Kingpin works have grabbed his attention the most, D’Onofrio pointed to the legendary Frank Miller, who wrote Daredevil’s Born Again storyline in 1986. “The [Frank Miller] runs...

Updated with more details, 2:05 Pm: A civil jury in New York City today found Robert De Niro not liable for gender discrimination and retaliation against his former assistant, Graham Chase Robinson, but the actor’s business and personal services company, Canal, was ordered to pay her $1.2 million in damages.
The jury also cleared Robinson of any financial wrongdoing in her 11 years as an employee for the two-time Oscar-winning star of Raging Bull and The Godfather: Part II and founder of the Tribeca Film Festival.
De Niro was not in the courtroom today, but Robinson was. She smiled and hugged one of the two women on her legal team after four-woman, three-man jury in the federal case delivered its verdict.
A Robinson lawyer, Brent Hannafan, said that his client would have no immediate comment on the outcome, but he told reporters outside the courtroom that “she feels vindicated.”

Updated, 4:27 Pm: A calmer Robert De Niro, facing friendlier questioning from one of his lawyers Tuesday, testified that he would give his departing personal assistant a job recommendation when she left but not the draft letter she submitted for him to sign after she abruptly quit in 2019 despite an earlier deal to stay on longer.
“I said, ‘There’s no way I can sign that now,’” De Niro said on the stand during Day 2 a civil trial in New York City pitting him against ex-employee Graham Chase Robinson, who has accused her former boss of gender discrimination, wage theft and retaliatory behavior. Jurors in the Manhattan federal courtroom also is weighing De Niro’s counterclaim that Robinson misused a company credit card for personal expenses and absconded with more than 5 million frequent-flier miles.

On Monday, Robert De Niro testified in the lawsuit against his former assistant, Graham Chase Robinson.
De Niro was the first to take the stand in the New York City federal courthouse. The legal battle began in 2019, when Robinson left the actor’s company, Canal Productions, after being promoted to vice president for production and finance.
Canal Productions filed a $6 million lawsuit against Robinson, claiming that she abused her position and negligently used “her employer’s fund for her personal gain.”
Robinson counter-sued De Niro and the company for $12 million, claiming that De Niro consistently made sexist comments and assigned her “stereotypically female job duties that were inconsistent with her job title.”
She also claimed that he paid her less than a male employee because of her gender.
“He would berate her. He would make her life difficult,” Robinson’s lawyer Brent Hannafan told the jury about the actor. “He...

Robert De Niro took the stand Monday in a New York civil courtroom to testify in his own defense against a former executive assistant who is suing the “Taxi Driver” actor for gender discrimination, harassment, unwanted physical contact and verbal abuse.
De Niro dismissed the accusations from Graham Chase Robinson as “nonsense” and took offense at her attorney, Andrew Macurdy, trying to read something more into a line from the actor’s previous testimony.
“I don’t know what you’re trying to say,” De Niro said when Macurdy had him read back a prior quote that Robinson did “anything and everything” the assistant job required. “I don’t like that implication,” he said.
“I asked her to do anything within reason — within the confines of her job,” said the actor, who currently stars in “Killers of the Flower Moon.” The acting great was so agitated, according to media reports,...

In August 2019, Robert De Niro sued his former assistant, Graham Chase Robinson, for binge-watching Friends on the job and stealing millions of frequent-flyer miles in what was suspected to be a prelude to a larger, bitter legal battle — a preemptive strike in anticipation of unsavory accusations to come. That came true two months later when Robinson filed her own lawsuit, near the precipice of the #MeToo movement, accusing De Niro of gender discrimination and retaliation, along with trying to convince the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office to prosecute her for stealing from the actor’s loan-out company.
The dueling claims, which were largely expected to settle, are now set to go to trial on Monday in New York federal court, with De Niro expected to take the stand after opening statements. He will testify against accusations that he oversaw a toxic workplace in which he underpaid Robinson, subjected her to vulgar comments,...

Robert De Niro has been accused of gender discrimination in a new $12 million counter-lawsuit from a female ex-employee.
Graham Chase Robinson alleges that the Oscar winner, 76, used sexist language and made suggestive jokes in her presence. Robinson also alleges that she was underpaid compared to her male colleagues and was often given “female duties like housework.”
“Robert De Niro is someone who has clung to old mores,” the lawsuit reads. “He does not accept the idea that men should treat women as equals. He does not care that gender discrimination in the workplace violates the law. Ms. Robinson is a casualty of this attitude.

Robert De Niro has been accused by a former female vice president at Canal Productions of gender discrimination, harassment, unwanted physical contact and being verbally abusive in a new lawsuit, which De Niro’s lawyer has referred to as “beyond absurd.”
Graham Chase Robinson, who in 2017 was the vice president of production and finance at Canal Productions, filed the lawsuit Thursday in response to a previous lawsuit De Niro filed in August for $6 million, alleging that she embezzled money from the company and binge watched excessive amounts of “Friends” on Netflix while on the job.
Robinson says in the lawsuit that De Niro “took a page out of the Bill O’Reilly playbook and treated her as though she was his ‘office wife.'” She’s seeking $12 million in damages.

Moviemaker Simon Fellows will no longer set his forthcoming remake of Lewis Carroll's classic Alice In Wonderland in Sunderland, England - due to lack of funding.
The film starring Mischa Barton - initially called Malice In Sunderland - was due to be shot in the city in north east England, but a $500,000 (GBP250,000) funding shortfall forced the picture's bosses to relocate.
Now Southend in Essex, south east England, has been named as the new setting and the film has been retitled Malice in Wonderland.
In the movie, Barton will play an American student who, having been hit by a London taxi, finds herself disoriented in a strange city.
Producer Albert Martinez-Martin, says, "There is no problem with Sunderland at all, the reasons being we have been looking at locations which are offering help in terms of funding.
"There is about GBP250,000 which we have lined up from Screen East in Southend and we are looking at locations there right now."
But the move has upset Tom Harvey, the chief executive of Northern Film and Media, the company which was due to work on the movie with Fellows and Martinez-Martin.
He says, "I think it is very sad it can't shoot in the north-east.
"We have over a GBP1 million ($500,000) to spend but that goes on local people. In this region, talent that lives and works here is more important than productions companies coming in."...
