We discovered that Celador Films and Pathe International have plans to take Neil Marshall's The Descent franchise further. In a recent casting call for The De2cent that hit our fax machine, we discovered that they are casting the role of Deputy Ellen Rios, who needs to be Latina, early to mid 30s, Vaines long-suffering sidekick is of Hispanic origin, around thirty years old. The kicker? The winner of this role scores a two-picture deal! Get ready for a third trip into the caves - maybe it'll be called The De3cent? Jon Harris is attached to direct the sequel, which is based on a screenplay by creator Neil Marshall & James Watkins. Shooting begins this May in London, England.
