Days of Our Lives New Writers: Emotional Storylines and Faster Pacing

So, the new writers Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford stepped into their roles in July of last year, but it has taken up until this week for their work to appear on air because of the 8 to 9-month average tape to air delay. But from April 24th, Ford it’ll be winding down Ron Carlivati’s work and then ramping up the story lines that Cwikly and Ford have created.

So, the female co-head writers said they plan to focus on emotion over plot, but with the understanding that obviously the plot drives the emotions.

The new head writers are no joke. It’s Day 2 of the new regime, and drama is happening quickly. On the Friday, April 25 episode of Days of Our Lives, Gabi and Brady had words now that Gabi Chic and Basic Black are under the same umbrella. It’s been a minute since they chatted. However, Kate assumed that Rex’s broken arm was caused by Ej Dimera (Dan Feuerriegel). It wasn’t and Rex explained the story. However, when Rex meets with Roman, he will share his concerns.

Who shot Ej on Days of our Lives? That’s the question on fans’ minds now that the who shot Ej (Dan Feuerriegel) story has begun.

This week, one of Ej’s many enemies walked into the Dimera mansion and shot him point blank.

Chad (Billy Flynn) was the one to find his brother, so we know he isn’t the one who committed the crime because he was genuinely shocked at seeing Ej bleeding on the floor.
