One of Cole Porter’s most popular shows, “Kiss Me, Kate,” hasn’t been seen on the boards of the Great White Way in nearly two decades. This season mark the return of the classic musical comedy via the Roundabout Theatre Company revival that opened on March 14 at Studio 54. Directed by Tony-nominee Scott Ellis, this staging stars Tony winner Kelli O’Hara (“The King and I”) and Tony nominee Will Chase (“The Mystery of Edwin Drood”) as the infamously divorced couple of sparring thespians Lilli Vanessi and Fred Graham.
Boasting popular Porter songs such as “Another Op’nin’, Another Show,” “Brush Up Your Shakespeare,” “So in Love,” “Too Darn Hot,” and “Wunderbar,” the musical follows Lilli and Fred as they reunite to star in a production of a musical version of Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew,” with their personal feelings influencing their on-stage performances. Notably, Tony nominee Amanda Green...

Like last season’s Lincoln Center production of My Fair Lady, the Roundabout Theatre Company’s current Broadway revival of Kiss Me, Kate, directed by Scott Ellis and opening tonight at Studio 54, had its share of finessing to do, bringing an acknowledged work of stage musical genius from a less gender-enlightened era in line with modern sensibilities. We can put that concern aside – whatever occasional shortcomings befall this mostly terrific revival, a spanked, put-upon heroine isn’t one.
Kelli O’Hara and Will Chase are so evenly matched – in performance, talent and temperament – that it’s hard to imagine a more finely balanced battle de deux. Whatever spanking goes on in this musicalized update of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew, well, each gives as good as she gets. And the roughhousing is so vaudeville cartoonish that the bum-bruising (his and hers) could trigger nothing more than a Carol Burnett Show flashback.

Below, we recap the plot of each musical as well as the awards history of its author, cast, creative types, the opening, and (where applicable) closing dates.
“Be More Chill” (previews begin February 13; opens March 10)
In this musical adaptation of Ned Vizzini’s 2004 novel of the same name, Jeremy Heere is your average, nothing-special teenager at Middleborough High School in nothing-special New Jersey. That is, until the day he finds out about ‘The Squip.’ Thus begins a journey that pits Jeremy’s desire to be popular against his struggle to remain true to his authentic self.

The race to make a movie based on the life of John DeLorean has been a slog, not a sprint. During a span of nearly three decades, there have been books, TV movies, documentaries and a raft of failed feature projects and unproduced screenplays left by the side of the road.
Now producers Steve Lee Jones and David Permut think they have the vehicle that can reach the finish line, one fueled by a screenplay from an Emmy winner, the unearthing of 27-year-old FBI surveillance tapes, consulting agreements with DeLorean's brother Charles and his former lawyer and, perhaps most importantly, the only official involvement of his estate and its executor, DeLorean's fourth and final wife.
For years, the estate had spurned numerous overtures until Jones came calling. He was given an exclusive option in September 2009, according to attorney William Courtney, who represents the estate and executor Sally DeLorean.

A judge has thrown out a paternity suit brought against Keanu Reeves by a woman who claimed he fathered four of her children. DNA test results released in October proved that Reeves was not the father of Karen Sala's kids. Sala went on to challenge the validity of the results, but the Sunday Mirror reports that the case has now been thrown out. Judge Fred Graham told a court in Barrie, Ontario: "A (more)...

A Canadian woman who claims Keanu Reeves is the father of her four children has had her case dismissed after a judge branded it "patently unbelievable."
Karen Sala filed suit against the actor last year demanding millions of dollars in child support and spousal support payments, maintaining Reeves is the biological father of her four adult children.
She also alleged in an affidavit that Reeves agreed to take her to the Academy Awards and promised they would eventually wed.
The Speed star, who has said he doesn't even know the 46 year old, took a DNA test which proved he is not related to any of the children, but Sala dragged the case back to court to contest the results.
She accused Reeves of using hypnosis to change the outcome of the testing, according to the Canadian Press.
But Judge Fred Graham ruled in Reeves' favour on Thursday by throwing the case out, telling the court, "The applicant's evidence is so incredible that it is not capable of acceptance by any reasonable trier of fact. A trial in this case would be a waste of limited judicial resources.
"It is evident that she (Sala) believes her allegations even though they are patently unbelievable to an objective observer."
The 46 year old was ordered to pay the Hollywood actor $15,000 (£9,375) for the legal bills the case has incurred.

Update: Reason—and Keanu Reeves—have won out as a Canadian judge has dismissed the paternity suit on the grounds that it's just too out there. "The applicant's evidence is so incredible that it is not capable of acceptance by any reasonable trier of fact," Judge Fred Graham said, adding that he wanted to send a message to end "spurious" suits against celebrities. "A trial in this case would be a waste of judicial resources." Still, while the claims may be beyond unfathomable to everyone else, Graham has no doubt Karen Sala believes them to be true. "It is evident she believes her allegations even if they are patently unbelievable to an objective...
