The Polish-Latvian co-production was filmed in the Baltic republic from 31 July to 14 August and is set to continue until November. Polish director Wojciech Smarzowski has recently wrapped the Latvian shoot of his new project, a comedy entitled W2, a sequel of his 2004 film The Wedding. The production follows the director's box office hit Clergy (2018), a drama about the sins committed by the Catholic Church in Poland and dealing with several controversial themes, such as corruption, paedophilia and alcoholism. The shooting of W2 took place from 31 July to 14 August in Tukums and in the Cibla region, and saw the participation of Latvian actor Juris Gornavs, as well as local crew and extras. Filming is planned to continue until November. The script, penned by the director himself, revolves around a family attending a wedding.
