- (1999 - 2000) Was hired to rewrite the Wesley Strick draft of the "Superman Lives" script at Warner Bros. At the time, Tim Burton was attached to direct and Nicolas Cage was attached to star. Eventually Ron Bass was hired to rewrite Goldsman, followed by Dan Gilroy rewriting all three of them, before the project was cancelled.
- (2002) Did a set of revisions to Andrew Kevin Walker's script "Asylum: Batman v. Superman", but the script was eventually tossed out. The project itself, wasn't produced for more than a dozen years with a new draft by other writers.
- (2004) Wrote a favorable treatment for a "Supergirl" feature at Warner Bros. but decided against writing the script. He instead remained on to produce it, but the project never got out of development.
