He was a lineman (guard) in the NFL from 1950-1959 (and the AAFC in
1949), with the Cleveland Browns (1950-1956), Philadelphia Eagles
(1956-1957) and Chicago Bears (1958-1959). He won 3 championships with
Cleveland, and played in 5 Pro Bowls.

He was head coach of the Bears from 1972-1974, and also a head coach in
the World Football League (Chicago) in 1975.
After Military Service in World War II, Gibron enrolled for college at Valparaiso (Indiana) University, where he played Football for two years; before transferring to Purdue University.
