Giorgos Gerontidakis

Giorgos Gerontidakis is a Greek actor. He began his career at the age of 9 when he was cast by director Costas Kapakas in the lead role of the film Peppermint (1999), which premiered in 1999. His performance as the 11-year-old protagonist, Stefanos Karouzos, earned him several awards and critical acclaim. After this, he continued his acting career in both television and cinema.
On television, he joined the cast of the daily series Sta ftera tou erota (1999) on ERT1, where he remained until 2003. He also appeared in Oi gynaikes tis zois tis (2001) in the 2001-2002 season, alongside Themis Bazaka and Stelios Mainas. From 2004 to 2007, he played Dionysis Kalpaklis, the teenage son of Pavlos Kontoyannidis, in the popular series Vera sto dexi (2004) on Mega Channel. He later appeared in Epta thanasimes petheres (2004), L.A.P.D.: Lekanopedio Attikis Police Department (2008), To soi mou mesa (2009), and Iatriko aporrito (2008). In 2018-2019, he returned to television in the leading role of The Prince of Fire (2018) on Open TV, and from 2019 to 2022, he portrayed Meleti Zoitos in the period drama Wild Bees (2019) on ANT1. He also starred in Sasmos (2021) on Alpha and Grand Hotel (2024) on ANT1.
In cinema, Gerontidakis had a notable role in Blackmail Boy (2003), followed by Agapi sta 16 (2004). He participated in Tied Red Thread (2011) and had a small role in the award-winning Miss Violence (2013). He continued his cinematic journey with roles in The Prisoners (2014) and Meditive. (2020).
