RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Alaska is making a claim about Lea Michele following an interaction that happened at the Grammys in 2017.
Alaska was asked about fellow former contestant Princess Poppy showing up at the Emmys as a green goblin and the impact behind the stunt. That led into a discussion about the Lea encounter.
Keep reading to find out more…
“I just love this Princess Poppy stunt. I’ve been to a few mainstream awards show in drag. I went to the Grammys one year, because [fellow All Stars 2 contestant] Katya and I were invited. Celebrities are mortified of drag queens, because we represent the sort of facade. We pull the curtain back of the facade of what Hollywood is. We make fun of it,” Alaska said on the latest episode of the Race Chaser podcast (via EW).
“We’re aware that this is fake because we take this off at night and become a different person.

Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Bianca Del Rio recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 8 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s premiere episode, All Stars 2 winner and former “Pit Stop” host Alaska returns to dish the opening moments of the new season. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.
In their recap of episode 1, Bianca and Alaska started by critiquing the opening look choices that the queens made. Alaska was confused why Naysha Lopez put on a prison jumpsuit, favoring more the queens that extended their known brand in their looks, like Kahanna Montrese and Heidi N Closet. Alaska’s personal favorite though was Jaymes Mansfield‘s and Bianca preferred Jimbo for being different and fun. Then, for the “Famous Then” and “Famous Now” runway mini challenge, Alaska and Bianca both liked Alexis Michelle‘s looks most.

Top drag stars, LGBTQ celebrities including Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Adam Lambert, and celebrity allies of the queer community banded together Sunday to stage Drag Isn’t Dangerous, a telethon to raise money to combat anti-lgbtq legislation.
As anti-drag and anti-trans bills proliferate across the United States — such as Tennessee’s ban on public drag performances (which has been temporarily blocked by a judge) — the telethon brought in more than $500,000 from 5,000 individual donors. According to the organizers, “all net proceeds from the event will be divided among approved charities (GLAAD, Glsen, Headcount, Black Queer Town Hall, The ACLU Drag Defense Fund, Trans Justice Funding Project, Victory Fund) that support Lgbtqia+ causes and drag performers in need, especially in states where they face discrimination and bans.” The fundraiser, held through GoFundMe, continues through Tuesday.

Forget the beach and frozen drinks — for her latest girl’s trip, Sophia Bush went all out on an Alaskan adventure.
“It was truly magical,” Bush says of her week-long stay at Tordrillo Mountain Lodge. “Sunrises and sunsets were otherworldly. But the most exciting part for me was adventuring. Getting in the rivers and fly fishing.”
For her first visit to the “Last Frontier” Bush enlisted Lel Tone, one of Eddie Bauer’s official tour guides to help her and her girlfriends cross off a few items on their Alaskan bucket list including glacier hiking, and heli-hiking.

Greg and Vanessa Blasic are no ordinary father-daughter duo. After climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest peak, in 2005, the pair from Rancho Santa Fe, California, made a pact to scale the highest mountains on each continent, a feat fewer than 400 people have accomplished. And after 12 years of intense training and climbing, Greg, 56, and Vanessa, 27, finally accomplished their goal when they conquered Mount Everest last month. "We help each other. I could help her when she had small problems with her stomach or nausea and she helped me with climbing skills because hers are better than mine," Greg told the San Diego Union-Tribune.

One of the main reasons I purchased both the Wii U and the New 3Ds, is for their virtual game library which includes classics from the Nes, Super Nes and Gameboy eras, along with other systems such as N64, Sega Master System, Genesis and Neo Geo when clicking into the Wii menu. Who wouldn’t want to play Mario 64, Contra 3: Alien Wars or any of the Mega Man titles, all games which have aged well over the years? Today, Nintendo of America announced the release of a host of first- and third-party digital games, including some from acclaimed indie developers, to the Nintendo eShop on Wii U and Nintendo 3Ds in 2015. In addition to anticipated upcoming games like Affordable Space Adventures, Runbow and Swords & Soldiers II, the newly announced Sos favourites Don’t Starve: Giant Edition and Never Alone will be coming to the Wii U console with exclusive GamePad features and functionality.

“The Grizzly is unpredictable — and we’ve got the mother of them all,” The Sportsman Channel said this morning in announcing Sarah Palin will attempt to make her reality TV comeback with a show focused on the outdoors. Amazing America With Sarah Palin will premiere in April on the channel that also features an NRA talk show, Antler Insanity, Personal Defense TV, and a series with rocker Ted Nugent. Related: Sarah Palin Returns To Fox News The Palin family were Barrymores of reality TV for a period. Palin previously starred in Sarah Palin’s Alaska — it aired for eight episodes starting in 2010 on TLC but was not renewed for a second season though the network called the ratings “solid.” She also showed up regularly in the audience, and was interviewed on camera, when daughter Bristol became an improbable finalist on the 11th edition of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars.

Shante, you slay.
We're nearing the end of RuPaul's Drag Race's fifth season, and that means it's time to make an important list: the 10 funniest queens in the show's history. In an age when people like Vivienne Pinay and Ivy Winters insist that fishiness is more important than comic chops, we need to fight back. I watch this show for unbridled sauciness, wit, and unapologetic humor, and these ten queens all boasted fine gut-busting instincts.
10. Detox
I have to be honest: I nearly gave this spot to Tatianna, whose performance as Britney Spears remains Snatch Game's most hilarious triumph, but Detox is truly the funnier performer. Her wise-ass commentaries, chicken fierceness, amazing side-eye, jaw-wagging lip-sync skills, and general weariness of everything are total treats. She'd probably laugh more at herself if her facial muscles were capable of abject glee. I'm always waiting to hear her next confessional, particularly after...

How does it feel to get made fun of by a polar bear? Behind all that cute fuzziness, Kali, an orphaned polar bear cub currently residing at the Alaska Zoo, is totally sticking his tongue out at you when you're not looking. Or maybe that's just a theory. But behind those paw-dorable good looks is a Bambi-like story that could break your heart. The cub, who is about 3 or 4 months old, was taken to his temporary home at the Anchorage zoo last month after his mother was fatally shot. The shooter turned the cub in, reports the Associated Press. The U.

About one million people changed the channel when "Bristol Palin: Life's A Tripp" premiered on Lifetime on Tues., June 19. According to EW, Palin's reality series had an audience of 726,000 total viewers and a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Its lead-in, "Dance Moms," had a viewership of 1.8 million viewers, according to TVByTheNumbers.
"Life's A Trip" follows Palin as she moves from Los Angeles back to Alaska and readjusts to life as a single mom with the support of her family, including parents Sarah and Todd.
It seems not even legal drama could help attract viewers to "Life's A Tripp." Lifetime and Palin were slapped with a lawsuit by a heckler with whom Palin confronted on camera in the premiere episode. Stephen Banks accused Palin of defamation and that he didn't allow Lifetime to film him.
Kyle Massey, Palin's fellow "Dancing With the Stars" contestant, also filed a lawsuit over the new reality show.

If you're like me (and be glad you're not), you were probably a bit disappointed when you went to go see Spike Jonze's "Where the Wild Things Are" and didn't hear any Arcade Fire songs playing behind footage of the mopey nine-foot beasties wandering around in the Outback.
Not to worry. In addition to the excellent Karen O and the Kids-fueled official soundtrack to the film, skate rat Jonze has taken a cue from recent collaborator Kanye West and cooked up a street-legal mixtape of songs he has posted on his "Wild Things"-related blog, We Love You So. The site, a Kanye-style compendium of amazing things, features instructions on how to make your own Max costume, images of "Wild Things" cakes and cookies, amazing outsider art and a great "We Were Once a Fairytale" mock outtake in which Jonze slaps 'Ye for acting like a stuck-up celebrity during the shoot.
