One of my favorite scenes from the first season of The Flash has got to be when Barry visits his father in prison and let's him know that the Man In The Yellow Suit has returned. Though, I think the scene would have been even better if Barry's father didn't begin it with, "Well, let it go now, Barry." If it had started with "The man in the yellow suit... has taken enough from us already." And concluded with, "Don't let him take any more." That would've been even sweeter. More like a rah-rah speech instead of a "please don't do anything rash." Now check out some wonderful promotional artwork designed by John Gallagher for The Flash that features Reverse-Flash. Barry Comes Face-to-face With The Man In The Yellow Suit/Amanda Paysreturns To The Flash — Barry (Grant Gustin) finds himself face-to-face with his nemesis, the man in the yellow suit,...

The week before Comic Con is less the calm before the storm than just the beginning of the storm.
Lots of press rooms to get ready for... panels to adjust into your schedule... and, this being TV Fanatic, preparation for the best damn coverage on the Internet. The whole TV Fanatic team will be in San Diego starting Wednesday, so keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook feeds for your entire TV scoop from the 2013 Comic Con.
But the work didn’t stop this week, so my Notebook is as full as ever with some insight into Dexter, Falling Skies and the new season of The Newsroom.
The Newsroom The action on this Sunday’s season 2 premiere picks up shortly after where Season 1 left, so that means we'll see Maggie (Alison Pill) with Don (Thomas Sadoski) instead with Jim (John Gallagher, Jr.). But, for those who remember, this isn’t a simple love triangle.

We’ve seen Mockingbird Lane (more people than NBC probably expected tuned in for the Halloween special) and we’ve mostly hated Bryan Fuller’s update of the classic hit The Munsters. Apparently, the show could’ve been a lot cooler, or would’ve looked a lot darker and monstrous, had some of the early concept designs by John Gallagher held up. The designs were revealed to Film Sketchr, and Gallagher clarified that concepts images such as these are “rarely created for any other function than to get my palette and form language started heading in the right direction.”
Herman looks more like a zombie Frankenstein rather than just…Jerry O’Connell. Eddie looks feral as hell, and Grandpa looks far more evil. I dig it. You can check out more concept images at this link.

Thanks to the Film Sketchr Blog and artist John Gallagher, we now know that originally the Munster family from the "Mockingbird Lane" redux was a lot more monstrous. Get ready for some pretty neat concept art, kids!
The "Mockingbird Lane" pilot/Halloween special was written by Bryan Fuller and directed by Bryan Singer. It is a reinvention of the 1960s sitcom about "The Munsters," a family of “monsters” — vampires, werewolves, and Frankenstein — and their “plain” cousin that will feature striking visuals in the vein of Fuller’s ABC dramedy "Pushing Daisies."

Portia DeRossi and Jerry O’Connell star as Lily and Herman Munster, Eddie Izzard as Grandpa, Mason Cook as Eddie, and Charity Wakefield as Marilyn.
Synopsis
Sweet little Eddie Munster (Mason Cook) is a normal kid about to enter the horrors of puberty. Truth is, he's about to discover that for him becoming a teenager...

John Gallagher shared some of his work on Mockingbird Lane (The Munsters reboot at NBC) with the blog Film Sketcher and revealed early designs for Herman Munster and his son Eddie.
Instead of the rather "plain" looking Jerry O'Connell Herman Munster with various stitches, Gallagher envisioned something much more gruesome. He sort of looks like Jigsaw from The Punisher. While cool, I can't imagine the NBC brass were diggin' on it. Check it out inside...
Mockingbird Lane aired as a Halloween special in late October to positive ratings and criticism; no word yet if NBC is weighing anything for future episodes.
