- As a palefaced bewitch he acted in movies like "Der Mann mit der eisernen Maske" (1922), "Der brennende Acker" (1922) by F.W. Murnau.
- With the arise of the sound film was his flexibility on the international parquet seriously reduced because of the different languages. He only appeared in some German productions and later in the Russian productions.
- The Russian actor Wladimir Gaidarow began his film career in Russia with "Yeyo zhertva" (1917) and "Otyets Sergei - Vater Sergius" (1917) at Ivan Mosjoukin's side. In the following years he moved in different countries as an actor, besides France he expecially found rewarding roles in Germany.
