A&m/UMe celebrates the 30th-anniversary of Sting’s fourth solo album, Ten Summoner’s Tales, with a digital-only Expanded Edition released today. Originally released on March 1, 1993, the album title is a somewhat tongue-in-cheek mashup of the artist’s given surname, Sumner, and a character in Geoffrey Chaucer’s 15th-century literary classic The Canterbury Tales, the summoner.
The 27-track Expanded Edition features the original 12-song Ten Summoner’s Tales album plus 15 bonus tracks consisting of B-sides, remixes, alternate versions, and live performances (complete track listing included below). Eleven of these 15 bonus tracks were previously unavailable for digital download or streaming. Mixed by 4-time Grammy Award winning Robert “Hitmixer” Orton, the album is also available in Dolby Atmos. Listen to or purchase Sting’s Ten Summoner’s Tales – Expanded Edition Here.

The 2022-23 TV season has its first casualty.
CBS’ dating show The Real Love Boat has been pulled from the broadcast network after four episodes. It will finish out its season on Paramount+.
The move comes after the show, an unscripted spin on the 1970s-’80s romance/comedy anthology, pulled in soft ratings numbers for its first four episodes. The Real Love Boat is CBS’ least watched primetime series of the fall, averaging a little under 1.9 million same-day viewers and a slim 0.24 rating in the key ad demographic of adults 18-49. Delayed viewing hasn’t helped much: After a week of DVR and on-demand viewing (as measured by Nielsen), the first two episodes rose to just 2.59 million viewers and a 0.3 among adults 18-49.
Paramount+ also streams the four episodes that aired on CBS, as well as the original scripted series.

The show is centered around a group of farmers that are presented with women from the city and they must choose one to be their spouse.
Fox’s new take is produced by Fremantle-backed Eureka, which is on an unscripted tear with series such as ABC’s Holy Moley and CBS’ upcoming The Real Love Boat. The production company, which was set up by Chris Culvenor and Paul Franklin, produces an Australian version of the show for Seven Network that has been successful since its own reboot.
The format has been rebooted in a number of international territories with a slightly younger and sexier vibe.
The network is bringing back dating format Farmer Wants a Wife.
The series is based on a British format developed by American Idol producer Fremantle and a U.S. adaptation previously aired on The CW in 2008.

Netflix is reviving a cult favorite from the early days of the reality TV boom.
The streamer has ordered a new version of The Mole, a competition series in which one player — the “mole” — works to undermine the others. The series, based on a Belgian format, aired for five seasons on ABC, with the last coming in 2008.
Eureka Productions (Holey Moley, Name That Tune) is behind the new version, which is slated to debut on Netflix in the fall. In the show, 12 contestants work together on a series of challenges that, if completed successfully, add money to a prize pot that only one of them will win. The mole, meanwhile, tries to sabotage the other players’ efforts while maintaining their cover as a regular player.
The Netflix show was filmed last year in Australia, per reports at the time from Reality Blurred and Buzzer Blog.

The Love Boat will set sail on CBS this fall with a real-life couple sharing hosting duties.
CBS announced today Rebecca Romijn (Paramount+’ Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) and Jerry O’Connell (CBS’ The Talk) would be the faces of the highly-anticipated reality series.
The husband-and-wife team will take the helm guiding viewers through the dating adventure series inspired by The Love Boat, the hit scripted series in the ‘70s that used Princess Cruises ships as its setting.
The new series premieres Wednesday, Oct. 5, following Survivor (8:00 Pm Pt/Et) and leading into The Amazing Race, to create the Network’s all-reality night.
It is certainly a departure for CBS, which typically always has a drama series in the 10 p.m. slot, but it will be fun to see if Survivor and The Amazing Race audiences become invested in this new series.

Sasha Lane knew something big was going to happen to her. She couldn’t have predicted the details – being plucked from obscurity by filmmaker Andrea Arnold and chosen to star in her Cannes-acclaimed feature film “American Honey” – but she had an inkling of something special waiting for her.
Lane was still just a teenager when Arnold discovered her on a Miami beach smack in the middle of spring break and cast her in the free-wheeling opus about a hard-partying magazine crew. At the time, Lane was a student at Texas State University in San Marcos, taking classes in psychology and social work, but she felt like something was missing. And she also felt like something was going to change for her once she went to Miami.

Widescreen Weekend | Cinemagic | Monty Python And The Holy Grail | Mayhem film festival
Old cinema technologies never die, they just retire to the National Media Museum, and this weekend is when they all come out to play; like Smell-o-Vision, which releases strategically timed scents into the auditorium during the film. It only lasted for one film: 1960 comedy-thriller Holiday In Spain, and this Friday is one of the few chances you’ll ever have to see it, and smell it, as intended – on a giant curved screen, in super-widescreen Todd-ao format to boot. Other highlights include not one but two special-effects maestros: the legendary Douglas Trumbull (2001, Blade Runner, Tree Of Life) talks about his work in the keynote address (18 Oct) before a 70mm showing of 2001; and Double Negative boss Paul Franklin talks about the Oscar-winning effects for Interstellar (Fri), before a 70mm screening. Other titles playing in glorious celluloid formats include Oklahoma!

'Alice in Wonderland' 2010 with Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. 'Alice in Wonderland' 2010: Plenty of visuals, no substance In the interest of full disclosure, I should start this commentary on Alice in Wonderland by saying that I have never been a fan of Tim Burton's works. I've enjoyed a couple of his movies, but the vast majority of them I've found uninspiring and, really, quite boring. Burton's eye for unusual worlds, particularly in terms of art direction and costume design, is not lost on me. But how can I possibly find Tim Burton a great director when he continues to offer the same tricks, over and over again? True, Burton's stories and characters change from movie to movie. What he offers, however, does not. What's there beyond cool visuals? What's there beyond the neo-gothic atmosphere he offers in Batman, or the brilliantly rendered chocolate factory playhouse in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?...
