Khalid heads out to the final frontier in the futuristic video for his new song, “Satellite.”
“Satellite” is a peppy pop tune that Khalid describes as “a visual portrait of my growth as a human being and the self-love journey I have experienced in my life.” The song’s music video, directed by Levi Turner, embraces the “Satellite” idea, dropping Khalid in some futuristic outer space sets where there’s everything from meteor showers and intricate dance numbers to just a bit of not-so-subtle PS5 product placement.

On Lukas Graham’s new track, “Lie,” lead singer Lukas Forchhammer dissects his relationship with his fiancée. This is the Danish group’s first new single since releasing third album 3 (The Purple Album) last year.
The autobiographical song has Forchhammer recalling the more chaotic, teenage days of his relationship with the woman he will marry. In the music video, two actors portray a young, on-and-off-again couple. The boy watches as his ex-girlfriend moves on with a different guy, pining for the days when they were happy. The trio bounded back up the charts this year with their new LP, 3 (The Purple Album), a collection of no-frills, heartrending songs that touch upon themes of parenthood,...

Lukas Graham frontman Lukas Forchhammer finds healing via camaraderie in the Danish band’s meditative video for new song “Not a Damn Thing Changed.” The clip – dedicated to the “loving memory of William,” one of the singer’s late friends – opens with an emotional Forchhammer at a funeral. He heads to a bar, where he drinks by himself and sings for a mournful crowd of friends. Later, they all team up to swim and play a rainy, muddy game of soccer.

Earning a Grammy nomination is a huge deal for any up-and-coming band, but the excitement is multiplied for Lukas Graham. The Danish hit-makers scored the prestigious Song of the Year and Record of the Year double-whammy for their infectious “7 Years,” plus a further nod for Best Group Performance. Unfortunately, the band has to keep their joyous hysteria contained for the next few hours.

“In September, a little golden nugget will be welcomed into the world,” the “7 Years” singer told People at the time. “Seeing my child born is so much more important than anything else I’ve got going on.”

In a few short years, Lukas Graham has gone from an aspiring musician growing up in a Copenhagen hippie commune to one of the hottest new breakout stars at the MTV VMAs. "It was very weird being in there. You're a couple rows away from people like Naomi Campbell and Kanye West, and Beyoncé dances by you. But it's pretty fascinating," Graham, 27, tells People of attending his first Video Music Awards Sunday, where he and his band were up for the Best New Artist title (which was won by the Joe Jonas-fronted Dnce). Beyoncé, Rihanna and Kanye West owned the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, their collective presence breathing life into a grandiose, nearly three-hour show that managed to feel as scattershot as it was scripted.
Rihanna opened the show with a hot pink flash, blazing through four of her biggest dance hits: "Don't Stop the Music," "Only Girl in the World," We Found Love" and "Where Have You Been." The pop star would perform three more genre-specific medleys throughout the night, throwing an impromptu block party during a reggae and dancehall set that included "Rude Boy,...

Joe Jonas hasn't yet won the 2016 MTV Vma 'Best New Artist' award ... but he and his band partied like they did. Jonas, JinJoo Lee, and Cole Whittle performed at Up & Down for Dnce's 1st anniversary. Big Sean also stopped by to show his support before Joe and Co. go up against Desiigner, Lukas Graham, Bryson Tiller, and Zara Larsson for the prestigious "Moon Man." It’s hard to imagine MTV holding the interest of anyone over the age of 16, but these days they don’t even come across as being in touch enough for the younger demographic. This year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) nominees have been announced, and for the most part the network seems intent on shoving the same artists down our throats that it did five years ago.
You can count the DJ/producers nominated for VMAs in 2016 on one hand: Calvin Harris, 99 Souls, Afrojack, Alesso and The Chainsmokers. Even Skrillex and SeeB’s names were left curiously absent from the nominations for Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” and Mike Posner’s “I Took A Pill In Ibiza,” respectively, even though the latter song marks Posner’s first relevant single since 2011.

A ranking of performances at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards 17.) Britney Spears may have had some impressive 90s theatrics, but poor lip sync will always kill a performance. 16.) Madonna‘s tribute to Prince was passable, but we’ve seen so many better tributes in the past month. Not even Stevie Wonder could make this memorable. 15.) “Seven Years” is a great song, but Lukas Graham needed to do more with it to stand out against the whizz and bang his fellow performers were putting out. 14.) Pink has many better songs than “Just Like Fire,” but at least she justified the selection by bringing in some impressive pyrotechnics.

In the actor’s ‘Mother’s Day Video,’ Geer starts off by thanking his mother for raising him. With Lukas Graham’ popular soul song, ’7 Years,’ playing in the background, the clip parodies the troubles mothers and sons regularly face, from arguing over music and [ Read More ]

If Lukas Graham's name doesn't sound familiar, his voice should: he's currently got a No. 2 hit on Billboard's Hot 100 chart with "7 Years," a twinkling, music box-y jam about growing old that was inspired in part by his father's death. At 27 years old, the singer's band - Lukas Graham - is already a staple in Europe, but he's finally breaking big in the U.S. With a soulful, sentimental self-titled album climbing the charts, Graham opens up to People about his band's success, growing up in a hippie commune - and why he'd rather live in an L.A. ghetto...
