HBO has released the first full-length trailer for House of the Dragon season 2 (via SFFGazette.com), and brace yourselves because it's epic. In the newly released footage, we see more of the scheming which continues in Westeros as war beckons between Queen Alicent Hightower and Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen.
The Targaryen civil war known as the "Dance of the Dragons" is nearly upon us and this sneak peek does a phenomenal job of setting the stage for the conflict to come.
All the major players are highlighted, with the sneak peek ending on a suitably epic note as Rhaenyra stands tall with Syrax looming large behind her. Who will prevail? Book readers (and most Game of Thrones fans) will know, but we won't spoil anything here,
"The first season was so much about the royal family, that 1 percent of the upper 1 percent that rules this world. All the people in the...

From the epic fights at the Wall to the politics of the Iron Throne, Game of Thrones is rightly placed among the greatest works of fiction. Based on the work by George R.R. Martin, the story of Westeros takes fans to the constant struggle for power among the noble houses.

Beyond the battles and dragons, the story is also known for the complexity of human emotions. These same themes, it seems, weren’t confined only to the script.

1923: Has It Been Renewed for Season 2?
Unlike 1883, which was designed as one season to tell a complete story, 1923 is getting a second season.
As the writing process was underway, Taylor Sheridan realized he needed more time to wrap up the storylines, which means we're getting a second season.
It will probably be the final season because the superproducer has been vocal about not wanting to keep the shows on the air beyond their initial storylines.

The contracts would include requesting productions put sustainable practices in place
Over 100 high-profile actors, including Mark Rylance, Hayley Atwell, David Harewood and Bill Nighy, have signed their support for Equity’s ‘Green Rider’ plan, which aims to boost sustainability in UK film and TV production.

This article contains spoilers for "Game of Thrones."
If we put Jaime Lannister's (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) ending out of our heads for a bit, he would have one of the best character arcs in television history. In "Game of Thrones" season 1, he pushed a little kid out of a high window for catching Jaime having sex with his twin sister Cersei (Lena Headey). He was cruel and full of himself, with his only redeeming quality being his love for his brother Tyrion (Peter Dinklage). By season 7, he'd met Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) and fallen for her ... or at the very least, developed deep feelings for her. He'd also formed strong friendships, was humbled after losing his hand, and turned into a character to root for.
Coster-Waldau enjoyed his time playing Jaime, and in a 2019 video posted to the series' official YouTube channel, he spoke about his favorite scene to shoot, which was...

The latest show affected by the ongoing writers strike is 1923. Filming for the second season of the Yellowstone prequel was scheduled to start earlier this month in Montana but production has now been “delayed indefinitely.”
According to a report from NBC Montana, Butte Civic Center manager Bill Melvin said he was contacted by the production of the Paramount+ series that filming had been postponed as the WGA strike continues.
Filming for the sophomore season of 1923 was due to start on Monday, June 5, and according to Melvin, production is paying $75,000 a month to use the Civic Center through the end of the year.
Creator Taylor Sheridan was already eyeing two seasons for 1923 but Paramount+ officially confirmed a second eight-episode season earlier this year to finish off the saga starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.

Taylor Sheridan fans are looking forward to getting updates regarding 1923 Season 2. Unfortunately, it seems production is currently paused for the next season, leaving fans in limbo regarding what will happen next. So, when is 1923 Season 2 slated to premiere? Here’s an estimate along with what we know so far.
When will ‘1923’ Season 2 premiere?
1923 proved to be a huge success for Taylor Sheridan and Paramount+. Coming off the heels of 1883 was no easy task. But thanks to 1923‘s original story and star-powered cast, fans loved it and can’t wait for more. Unfortunately, it seems production hit a few snags for 1923 Season 2, delaying its premiere date.
Filming for 1923 Season 2 was allegedly supposed to begin in June 2023. That hasn’t happened due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America Strike. The Writers Guild of America represents 11,500 screenwriters, and they stopped doing their jobs after a labor dispute with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.

In the early days of pre-Netflix Black Mirror, there was a thrill (for some of us at least) that came along with easily being able to rattle off one’s favorite episodes.
There were only six at the time so it was easy to gather them all up in your brain and spit them out in the order you preferred.
Now Netflix has stepped in to start mass producing Black Mirror‘s as fast as creator Charlie Brooker can produce them. The episode number (now at 28 with season 6) has become a bit more unwieldy so it’s finally time to put some pen to paper on this bad boy.
What follows is our official list of every Black Mirror episode from worst to best. You will disagree with it because how could you not? Just be sure to let us know how foolish we are in the comments.

"Black Mirror" is known for its jaw-dropping plot twists, but perhaps none were quite so gut-wrenchingly unexpected as the surprise ending to "Shut Up and Dance." In easily one of the scariest "Black Mirror" episodes ever, the audience is missing a crucial piece of information that puts the entire story in perspective and drastically shifts their otherwise sympathetic view of the protagonist, played by Alex Lawther. Lawther's character is blindly led through a perilous scavenger hunt by an anonymous puppet master. As it turns out, the episode was as much of a mystery to Lawther as it was to his character.
The dystopian Netflix series — which returns for season six in June — has a reputation for concealing the episodes' subjects from the actors during auditions, made possible by its episodic storytelling mode. When Lawther auditioned to play the bumbling shut-in at the center of "Shut Up and Drive," he wasn't...

Taylor Sheridan’s sprawling Yellowstone franchise continues to expand with new spinoff shows even as the flagship show goes through a ton of behind-the-scenes drama. The latest addition brings the star power of Matthew McConaughey into the mix. As of now, details on the project are scarce. However, the mere presence of McConaughey is enough to excite Yellowstone star Josh Lucas about what’s to come for the series in the future.
McConaughey is the latest star to join the ‘Yellowstone’ universe
After months of speculation, McConaughey’s entrance into the Yellowstone world was finally confirmed at the end of March. The role ends the actor’s three-year hiatus from the profession. Nothing about the plot or McConaughey’s character has yet been released, but considering the premises of the other Yellowstone off-shoots, the show will likely also be another trip into the past to fill out the lore of the Dutton Ranch.

Simon Cowell gained fame with his reputation as the brutally honest — and sometimes downright mean — judge on American Idol. However, that wasn’t who Cowell really was, according to former Fox executive Mike Darnell. In an interview last year, Darnell revealed that Cowell’s “mean judge” personality was all part of a “character” created specifically for American Idol. Here’s more on Cowell’s time on Idol and his persona, plus what he’s been up to since leaving the show.

Oh “1923,” you thrilling, thoughtful, brutal show. What a finale you delivered. And for us viewers whose heads are spinning from Timothy Dalton’s Bdsm-obsessed bad guy and that heartbreaking separation for Spencer (Brandon Sklenar) and Alex (Julia Schlaepfer) there’s so much to process that we need that “1923” ending explained.
The thing that’s so interesting about the Season 1 finale, “Nothing Left to Lose,” written, as with every episode of the “Yellowstone” franchise, by Taylor Sheridan, is that it actually resolves quite a lot even as it sets up that much more for the future. Could it have served as a series finale if “1923” hadn’t already been renewed for Season 2? Possibly. There don’t appear to be plans for a continuation of “1883,” and the production values of “1923” are very much of the no-expense-spared variety.
But the show was a hit, captivating viewers with one of the best romances...

This 1923 review contains spoilers for the episode and the Yellowstone universe at large.
1923 Episode 8
In the 1923 season 1 finale, there’s a well-written little nugget of dialogue spoken by breakout character Teonna Rainwater (Aminah Nieves) when she tells her father, with conviction, that she “believes in right now.” While inspiring, that affirmation sticks out because of the inherent dramatic irony.
Yellowstone supercreator, Taylor Sheridan, who only half a decade ago barely had one show to his name, now helms nine television shows, all in varying degrees of production.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for the 1923 Season 1 Episode 8 finale, “Nothing Left to Loose.”] Spencer and Alex are geographically closer to Montana than they have been all season long in the 1923 finale, but as the Season 1 ender revealed, they’re nowhere near reaching their final destination. Season 1 Episode 8 brought the Yellowstone prequel’s debut season to a close on Sunday, February 26 on Paramount+. And while there were no deaths in the episode, there were certainly no happy endings. In Montana, Jacob (Harrison Ford) and Cara Dutton (Helen Mirren) were struggling to find the money to buy enough hay to feed their cattle through the winter. Banner Creighton (Jerome Flynn) was released from prison without bail. Elizabeth (Michelle Randolph) experienced a miscarriage. Zane’s (Brian Geraghty) wife was arrested for marrying and having children with a white man. Teonna (Aminah Nieves) was found by her father (Michael Spears) and Pete (Cole Brings Plenty), but she’s still being hunted. In ...

Paramount+’s 1923 season one finishes up with episode eight, “Nothing Left to Lose,” an episode that ends with multiple cliffhangers and none of the three major storylines any closer to resolution. The season finale split fan-favorite couple Alex and Spencer apart, left Donald Whitfield sitting in the catbird seat, and revealed Cara’s worried that Spencer’s the Yellowstone Ranch’s only hope. And Teonna’s storyline only advanced as far as the Wyoming state line, with law enforcement and Father Renaud hot on her tail.
At least Paramount+ has already confirmed 1923 is returning for season two and we will, eventually, learn if Alex and Spencer make it to Montana. However, Paramount+ hasn’t announced when fans can expect a second season to arrive.

Harrison Ford may have just made the jump to TV, but the legendary actor has already said he’s on board for 1923 season 2. The series is the latest from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and acts as a prequel to Sheridan’s flagship show while also a sequel to the series 1883. Leading the series is Ford, who plays another Dutton patriarch, Jacob.

1923 Episode 7
There’s a key sequence in “The Rule of Five Hundred”, where we see that winter has come to Montana. It’s bleak, it’s freezing, but none of that stops the patriarch of the Dutton family, Jacob (Harrison Ford) from riding into town with his posse to ensure justice is served. As he and his men trot by on horseback, only the clops of the hooves on the pavement can be heard. This group seemingly from the Old West trots past an automobile that is stuck in the Montana slush, as if this modern day convenience was completely unprepared for the world they live in.
The juxtaposition of those two worlds is the real key. It was almost as if creator Taylor Sheridan, who once again wrote this episode, is commenting that the old ways are still the best ways. Progress be damned.

Taylor Sheridan’s “Yellowstone” might be in hibernation but that doesn’t mean that you are totally deprived of Dutton-related drama, as prequel series “1923” is currently streaming. It’s full of all the things that make “Yellowstone” so special – frontier justice, cowboys, big movie stars and a surprising amount of pistol whipping.
“1923” picks up after the events of “1883.” Harrison Ford plays Jacob Dutton, the brother of James Dutton (Tim McGraw’s character on “1883”). After James and Margaret (Faith Hill) passed away, Jacob and his wife Cara (Helen Mirren) take the boys in. Jack Dutton (Darren Mann) is the dedicated cowboy and ranchman while Spencer Dutton (Brandon Sklenar), having Ptsd from World War I, retreats to Africa to hunt big game. In a very real way we are seeing the beginnings of the Yellowstone ranch, not just in the buildings but in the craggy philosophy and the psychic trauma that seems to permeate the soil.

Snow blankets the Yellowstone Ranch as Paramount+’s 1923 season one episode seven begins. The season’s penultimate episode opens with Jack (Darren Mann) giving Elizabeth (Michelle Randolph) a good morning kiss and promising to be careful.
Jacob (Harrison Ford) is getting around better, and he briefly comes inside to warm his hands by the fire. He promises Cara (Helen Mirren) they’ll be back by supper, and Cara responds, “Just come back.”
Outside, the cowboys saddle up and head out with Jacob in the lead.
In town, the snow makes it difficult for motorcars to get around, but horses don’t have any problem. Three sheriff vehicles fall into place behind Jacob and his men as they head to Banner’s new home (courtesy of Donald Whitfield).

Harrison Ford is far from the first major star that Taylor Sheridan has landed for his shows, like 1923. The famous writer and filmmaker has worked with the likes of Kevin Costner and Sylvester Stallone over the years. In Sheridan’s Yellowstone prequel, 1923, Ford plays Jacob, the patriarch of the Dutton family. Jacob tries to keep his ranch alive in a modernizing world. Sheridan writes about real-life issues, and reading his scripts struck and chord with the actor

Modernization is a major theme in the Yellowstone prequel, 1923. The Duttons are a family of ranchers living in a world that is slowly transforming away from an agrarian society. Inevitably there’s a darker side to the advances being made in 1923.
“Progress goes hand in hand with an exploration of the Mother Earth,” Banner Creighton actor Jerome Flynn stated in a video from Paramount+.

1923 Episode 6 included a guest appearance from actor Joseph Mawle. The Yellowstone prequel already features a star-studded cast, with the likes of Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren appearing in the show. Mawle also acted in several episodes of Game of Thrones, and he isn’t the first 1923 actor who had a role in the show.

1923 Episode 5
To become one of the more prolific television writers in the modern age, one must have your proverbial finger on the pulse of your audience.
Taylor Sheridan, Paramount’s country-fed celebutante, has been able to tap into something with his rabid audience that transcends political affiliation, gender, and age, and he’s been able to do it consistently for the better part of half a decade. The longevity of his empire is certainly one of the more impressive aspects, as he expands not only the Yellowstone universe, but his impressive catalog of shows, and he’s able to do so, because he seemingly knows how his audience is feeling.
Perhaps, however, he’s mirroring that a little too much. After a short hiatus, the second prequel in the aforementioned Dutton-saga, 1923 returned with “Ghost of Zebrina.” The...

The writer/director has given the streaming platform a major hit with Yellowstone, which has now sprouted a couple of spin-off prequels in the form of tried-and-true westerns with the television series 1883 and 1923. If you've been enjoying Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren on 1923, we have some good news for you.
Paramount+ has officially renewed the latest Yellowstone prequel for a second season.
The news shouldn't come as a surprise.
Deadline reported last year that franchise overlord Taylor Sheridan eyed the show as a 16-episode limited series.
With 1923 Season 1 spanning eight episodes, it was inevitable a follow-up to complete the series would be ordered.
Sheridan confirmed to Deadline in December that he managed to lock Ford and Mirren in for 16 episodes.
"Well, it's really the second half of the season," Sheridan said at the time.
"This one is different than 1883, where I had the whole thing blocked out in my head."
Sheridan notes that he went on a journey with the story of 1923, stating, "I'm the one that made the call to the network, which is probably the greatest call they ever got," he recalls.

"This one is different than 1883, where I had the whole thing blocked out in my head."
Sheridan notes that he went on a journey with the story of 1923, stating, "I'm the one that made the call to the network, which is probably the greatest call they ever got," he recalls.

“1923” has lassoed a second season at Paramount+.
Taylor Sheridan’s “Yellowstone” prequel stars Harrison Ford as Dutton patriarch Jacob and Helen Mirren as his Irish-born wife Cara. The series follows their generation of the Dutton family as they face pandemics, drought and the end of the Prohibition era in 1920s Montana.
“1923” proved to be a hit early on, becoming the most-watched Paramount+ premiere of all time in the U.S. with 7.4 million viewers. It also received positive reviews, with Variety critic Joshua Alston writing that “Mirren and Ford – both 80-ish, neither a stranger to action badassery – make for such a potent pairing, their chemistry alone is enough to make ‘1923’ feel like an elevated version of Sheridan’s neo-Western fare.”
In addition to Ford and Mirren, the show stars Brandon Sklenar, Darren Mann, Michelle Randolph, James Badge Dale, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Jerome Flynn and Julia Schlaepfer.

If you didn’t like how 1883 ended after just one season, you’re going to love this news: Paramount+ has ordered a second season of 1923.
Just as Deadline first reported in October, Creator Taylor Sheridan needs another season to finish telling the origin story of the Dutton family he made famous in Yellowstone. Besides, there’s always the chance season two could attract the same number of people who first tuned into the premiere of 1923 in December: The prequel that stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren was the most watched Paramount+ premiere ever in the U.S. and drew in 7.4M total viewers across Paramount+ and linear previews.
1923’s linear sampling preview on Paramount Network made it the biggest series premiere on cable for 2022.

Paramount+ is continuing its Dutton family origin story.
The streamer has renewed Yellowstone prequel 1923 for a second season after the drama’s record-breaking first season, where the premiere became the most watched series premiere on cable in 2022.
Taylor Sheridan’s series follows the ancestors of the current Dutton clan of Yellowstone and is led by Harrison Ford’s Jacob and Helen Mirren’s Cara. The newest installment in the family’s origin story takes place in the early 20th century “when pandemics historic drought, and the end of Prohibition all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home,” according to Paramount+.
1923 picked up a few decades after Sheridan’s first Yellowstone origin series, 1883, which ran for one season and starred Tim McGraw and Faith Hill as James and Margaret Dutton. Their daughter Elsa, played by Isabel May, narrated the series and continues to narrate 1923.

[This story contains spoilers for 1923’s first four episodes.]
Taylor Sheridan’s first Yellowstone prequel, 1883, told the tragic story of how the Dutton family first settled in Montana, and the series was marketed with stars Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill at the forefront. But the Western show was ultimately about Isabel May’s Elsa Dutton, who served as the narrator, as well as the audience’s eyes and ears into that perilous time in the West.
Well, 1883’s follow-up, 1923, appears to be following in the footsteps of its predecessor. The Paramount+ series sold itself with Hollywood heavyweights like Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, but the story appears to revolve around Brandon Sklenar’s Spencer Dutton, the youngest son of James (McGraw) and Margaret (Hill) Dutton, and nephew of Jacob (Ford) and Cara (Mirren) Dutton. James Badge Dale, who plays Spencer’s older brother John Dutton Sr., even told THR recently that the objective of the first four...

The catalyst of 1923 has already arrived and now, as the Yellowstone prequel prepares to head into the second half of its season, creator Taylor Sheridan’s vision is coming into focus.
“I chose that moment in time [year 1923] to peek back in because you’re seeing the children that we’ve met in 1883 attempting to raise another generation of Dutton,” says Sheridan in a Paramount+ video and The Hollywood Reporter exclusive (below).
When explaining why he picked the year of 1923 to retrace Dutton family lineage, the creator adds that the next prequel chapter in the Yellowstone universe arrives in the backdrop of “a time of great drought, at a time of Prohibition, at a time of all this expansion — the Wild West was truly becoming a relevant center of resources.”
The surviving child viewers had already met from 1883 was young John (Audie Rick), who grew up to become the John Dutton Sr.

This 1923 review contains spoilers.
1923 Episode 4
It must be somewhat difficult to write a period piece, when the history is largely known, and still keep it compelling and intriguing. When an audience knows how something is going to end, it can take the fun out of guessing a little bit for those of us who enjoy it. Even massive blockbusters such as Titanic had to forge a love story for the ages to distract from the inevitability of the boat sinking. This is where 1923 writer and creator Taylor Sheridan now finds himself.
Not that 1923 is by any means a sinking ship, quite the contrary, but you’re undoubtedly reading this review for the same reason you watch 1923 – you’re a fan of Yellowstone, and as a fan, you have a crystal ball into the legacy of the Dutton family, since you already know what the future is going to look like.

Paramount+’s 1923 episode four picks up hours after the doctor rushed to the Yellowstone Ranch to try and save Jacob’s life. Episode three ended with the shocking deaths of John Dutton Sr and Jack’s fiancée’s father, Bob Strafford, at the hands of Banner and his murderous band of sheepherders. It also saw Jacob and Elizabeth fighting for their lives.
Cara (Helen Mirren) enters the kitchen after the medical team has finished their work, and blood is still dripping from the table as she scans the room. It’s all too much, and she grabs a handkerchief and races from the big house. She collapses into sobs of grief as she stares up at the sky. Moments later she collects herself and returns to complete cleaning up just as ranch foreman Zane Davis (Brian Geraghty) arrives.
