- After hosting numerous TV game shows, Fleming moved to St. Louis to work as a radio host on the CBS-owned AM news/talk station, KMOX. He co-hosted a midday talk show with Mary Phelan and a weekend radio game show called "Games People Play." He was a collector of Civil War memorabilia including a scale model of a battlefield which was in his basement. Fleming hosted the nationally syndicated radio program "When Radio Was." Fleming retired from broadcasting in 1993.

- His first wife, who performed as Millie Fazzin and Mildred Alexander, was the assistant staff organist at Radio City Music Hall.
- Art's only daughter, Jan Hanna, appeared as a model on the February 2, 1991 Howard Stern Show on Channel 9 in New York. Her dad was hosting a parody of This Is Your Life with Howard as the subject. Howard introduces her near the end of the show. As a guitarist and singer, she now fronts her own band in Hampton Bays, New York.
