The Traitors 2 shocked viewers by bringing back Kate Chastain from Below Deck.
The reality television star also appeared on the first season of The Traitors, which made her return very surprising.
Kate showed up at the Scotland castle midway through Season 2, leading to some questions about why she had returned.
But as The Traitors 2 gets closer to naming a winner, it seems that Kate has a route to possibly winning that $250,000 prize.
For Kate’s fans who haven’t tuned in to watch The Traitors, it is a show where contestants are competing for a prize pool. Some players are Traitors, intending to steal money from everyone else (the Faithfuls).
Like many other reality competition shows, it comes down to winning challenges and not getting voted out. One major twist is that many people get suspected of being Traitors.
Why did The Traitors invite Kate Chastain back?

Monday, January 8th, would’ve been David Bowie’s 77th birthday. To mark the occasion, Wilco has shared their rendition of Bowie’s 1969 hit, “Space Oddity.”
The release hails from Wilco’s 2023 performance on Mountain Stage (a public radio show distributed by NPR Music), and will be included on an upcoming compilation announced today titled Live On Mountain Stage: Outlaws and Outliers, due on April 19th via Oh Boy Records.
Presenting a wonderfully Wilco-esque take on “Space Oddity” — itself named the 43rd best song of all time by Consequence in 2012 — the band settles into an acoustic arrangement, allowing Jeff Tweedy’s vocals to masterfully convey the tune’s enduring appeal for humanity.
Speaking about the performance in a statement, the band said: “As a gratefully, if not begrudgingly, Earth-bound band, it’s always an honor and a challenge to tackle any of David Bowie’s space-soaring arrangements. Striving to reach...

Christopher Walken wasn’t the only high-profile celebrity cameo on this week’s “Saturday Night Live” — former “Top Chef” host and “culinary icon” Padma Lakshmi lent her expertise to a memorable cooking skit that nearly had Heidi Gardner breaking character.
Lakshmi appeared in the “Chef Showdown” skit “Two Chefs, One Cuisine, One Winner.” Cast members Punkie Johnson and Kenan Thompson starred in the skit as judges of a soul food competition — and Thompson was really locked in and hilarious, causing Gardner to visibly stifle a laugh while setting the stage for Lakshmi’s entrance.
Thompson and Johnson were Rev. Jeremiah Fields and Ms. Maddie Johnson, respectively. The pair are judging food cooked by Ego Nwodim’s and Nate Bargatze’s contestants, Kelly and Dougie. Exclusive: The Writers Guild of America hasn’t said anything publicly about the savage attack on Israel by terrorists on October 7, and a number of irate showrunners and others will be discussing that silence Friday.
Almost a week after dozens of high-profile WGA members put out an open letter reprimanding guild leadership for “when terrorists invaded Israel to murder, rape, and kidnap Jews… the Guild stayed silent,” guild members are getting together to say something more.
“The guild wants this to go away, but we aren’t going away — it is outrageous they’ve said nothing, absolutely outrageous,” one individual who plans on joining today’s virtual meeting told Deadline.
Chaired by American Soul creator Jonathan Prince, a Zoom meeting is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Pt today to discuss why the WGA has been silent about Hamas’ onslaught against the Jewish state, which has left more than 1,400 dead and thousands injured.

“The Americans” showrunner Joel Fields slammed the Writers’ Guild of America for its failure to condemn Hamas’ attack on Israel.
“The Writers Guild has failed us deeply,” he said Wednesday during a panel at Variety’s Hollywood & Antisemitism Summit. “For an organization that constantly puts out statements to make sure that it’s on the right side of history, it has sadly issued its statements through its silence.”
The latest criticism of the WGA’s response to Israel follows an open letter signed by a group of screenwriters, which included Fields, Eli Roth, Graham Yost, Amy Chozick, Jerry Seinfeld, Steven Levitan, Scott Frank, Amy Sherman-Palladino, among others.
“When it comes to taking a stand, the Writers Guild of America has always led by example. When employers sought to exploit our work, the Guild bravely spoke up. When the BLM movement took flight, the Guild rightfully spoke up. When the #MeToo...

Joel Fields, the showrunner of “The Americans,” blasted the Writers Guild of America on Wednesday for failing to issue a statement condemning the Hamas attack on Israel.
“The Writers Guild has failed us deeply,” Fields said. “For an organization that constantly puts out statements to make sure that it’s on the right side of history, it has sadly issued its statements through its silence.”
Fields was speaking on a panel at Variety’s Hollywood & Antisemitism Summit, presented by The Margaret & Daniel Loeb Foundation and Shine A Light.
His remarks followed up an open letter that was issued on Sunday, which argued that the WGA’s silence on the issue showed that it had “lost the plot.” Fields was among the signatories, as was Joe Weisberg, the creator of “The Americans,” along with Jerry Seinfeld, Eli Roth, Susannah Grant, Steven Levitan, Scott Frank, Amy Sherman-Palladino, Jenji Kohan and many others.

CBS’s Big Brother Season 25 finally saw the breakup of the Fields family. When Cirie and Jared Fields first entered the game as a mother-and-son couple, I thought the producers might want to do everything they could to protect their gameplay and move them forward in the competition. But Jared hurt his own gameplay on several occasions. And his use of a slur certainly didn’t help. Here’s what Jared said about using slurs after eviction from the Big Brother house.

Jared made it clear that he knew the live feeds ran 24/7 for audience entertainment, and production previously removed Luke Valentine from the season for saying a racist slur. The Big Brother Season 25 contestants remaining in the house following the eviction of Luke Valentine for the use of a racial slur are now grappling with his removal. Earlier this week, during a non-televised Paramount+ live stream, the 30-year-old casually slipped the N-word into his conversation with three other housemates. During Thursday night’s episode, Valentine was called into the diary room after the conversation, and the next morning the other contestants learned of his eviction.

The latest episode of “Big Brother” has addressed the removal of contestant Luke Valentine following his use of the N-word during a Paramount+ live feed. This controversy unfolded just one week into the start of Season 25.
Valentine used the racial slur during a casual conversation with other contestants Jared Fields, Cory Wurtenberger and Hisam Goueli. After dropping the slur at the end of a sentence, he seemed immediately aware of his on-camera faux pas. He covered his mouth, laughed and quickly said “dude” instead, while his fellow contestants stared at him. The moment can be watched here.

Manborg. Father’s Day. The Void. Leprechaun Returns. Psycho Goreman. There’s been a throwback element to all of the feature films we’ve gotten from director Steven Kostanski so far, and his next feature will be no different. Variety has confirmed that production has wrapped on Kostanski’s horror comedy Frankie Freako, which is said to be a “commemoration of various practical FX-led projects including Gremlins 2: The New Batch and Ghoulies Go to College“. Well, if you say your movie pays tribute to Gremlins 2 and Ghoulies 3, you’ve already sold me on it.
Shout! Studio holds the U.S. distribution rights to Frankie Freako, but release plans have not yet been announced.
The story follows Conor Sweeney (The Editor) as he accidentally unleashes a trio of tiny trouble-makers into his home, led by the maniacal rock-n-roll party monster Frankie Freako. It’s a race against time as...

The Traitors has been a breakout hit in the unscripted world, with one exec saying that it did for the global formats genre what Top Gun: Maverick did for the summer blockbuster.
For Deadline’s Contenders Television: Documentary + Unscripted event, host Alan Cumming, contestants Cirie Fields and Kate Chastain and exec producer Toni Ireland talked up the James Bond- and Cruella de Vil-style outfits, Fields’ winning strategy and how the show will change for its second season on Peacock.
Cumming never had hosted a reality series before and said he played it up like a “James Bond villain.” “I loved how fun and inventive I could be with this. I’m basically playing a character … so it’s subverting the form in a way,” he said.
His outfits were notable, particularly the plaid kilts and capes. “Capes are the new black,” he joked.

It’s barely been two weeks since their critically acclaimed series wrapped its six-season run on FX, but the cast and creators of “The Americans” reunited Sunday at the Atx Festival in Austin, Tex. to deconstruct the “heartbreaking” series finale.
On hand were showrunners Joel Fields and Joe Weisberg, executive producer Chris Long and series stars Keri Russell (Elizabeth Jennings), Matthew Rhys (Philip Jennings), Noah Emmerich (Stan Beeman), Holly Taylor (Paige Jennings), Keidrich Sellati (Henry Jennings), and Brandon J. Dirden (Dennis Aderholt).
Russell said she was surprised at first by the finale, which saw the Jennings return to Russia without their children, Paige and Henry. But “it just felt right,” she said. “I wanted this couple to pay in some way, and they paid in the worst possible way. It’s heartbreaking.”
Agreed Weisberg, “That’s a hell of a toll,” who along with Fields recounted that the finale had...
