Lidiya Fedoseeva-Shukshina is a Soviet and Russian theater and film actress. People's Artist of the Russian SFSR. In 1964 she graduated from the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography, acting workshop of Sergey Gerasimov and Tamara Makarova. She made her film debut in 1956, starring in small roles in the films Dva kapitana (1956) and Maksim Perepelitsa (1956). She first gained fame by playing the main role (Tanya) in the film Sverstnitsy (1959). Her acquaintance and subsequent relationship with Vasiliy Shukshin played a great role in her life and career as an actress. They met on the set of the film Kakoe ono, more? (1965). She then played with Shukshin in the films Pechki-lavochki (1972), Kalina krasnaya (1974), Strannye lyudi (1970). Since 1974, after the death of Vasiliy Shukshin, she began to bear a double surname - Fedoseeva-Shukshina. Viewers remember her for her role as Madame Gritsatsueva in the film Twelve Chairs (1977). Also successful were her works in the films Demidovy (1983), Sitting on the Golden Porch (1986), Vivat, gardemariny! (1991), Khozhdenie po mukam (1977).
