Brian Sidney Eppes was born in Vancouver, Washington and raised in Arlington, Texas.
From 1987 to 1992, Eppes played Michael, one of the original characters from Barney & Friends, from the age of 8 to 13.
Eppes graduated summa cum laude from Arlington High School; while in high school, he played baseball and football, and was active in the student council. During the summer breaks, he worked for his father's company Southwest Networks, as a lead technician installing fiber optic and data cable systems; in addition he also worked for the Texas Rangers baseball team.
By June 2012, Eppes was working as a felony prosecutor for the Office of the District Attorney of Tarrant County, Texas.
In 2004, Eppes appeared in a video celebrating Barney's 10th Anniversary, with other past cast members from the past 10 years.
From 1998 to 2002, Eppes attended Texas A&M University - College Station, majoring in Meteorology.
In June 2005, Eppes graduated from South Texas College of Law. In July 2005, he passed the bar exam, and planned to practice law as a civil attorney in Houston, Texas.
Eppes works as a lawyer for the Fort Worth law firm Townsend, Gebhardt & Eppes, PLLC.
