[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Bosch: Legacy Season 2.] It was an emotional rollercoaster throughout season 2 of Bosch: Legacy. Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) started on a hunt to find his daughter Maddie (Madison Lintz), who was taken from her home by rapist Kurt Dockweiler (David Denman). Between the abduction and being buried alive, Maddie is forever changed by the ordeal personally and professionally as a young cop in Los Angeles. After Bosch and Honey “Money” Chandler (Mimi Rogers) find Maddie safe, they’ve got to deal with their own issues. These include having the FBI led by Agent William Baron (Anthony Michael Hall) on their tail, stemming from the Carl Rogers murder in the first season. Making matters worse are crooked detectives Don Ellis (Max Martini) and Kevin Long (Guy Wilson), who are out to pin a murder on Chandler’s innocent client David Foster (Patrick Brennan), and take Bosch and Chandler down in the process.

Harry Bosch is returning to Amazon Freevee on Oct. 20 – and he’s taking matters into his own hands to save his daughter in a new teaser for “Bosch: Legacy” Season 2.
The drama series’ second season finds Bosch (Titus Welliver) working alongside Honey “Money” Chandler (Mimi Rogers) to track down a masked assailant who kidnapped his daughter Maddie (Madison Lintz) before time runs out. But as the FBI scrutinizes Carl Rogers’ murder, Bosch and Chandler are placed under suspicion.
In the clip, Jerry Edgar (Jamie Hector) tells Bosch that he needs to let authorities do their job to find his daughter, to which he replies: “Don’t cut me out!.” He also makes clear that while the FBI has to do things the “right way,” those rules don’t apply to him.

Things are shaping up for Bosch: Legacy Season 2. The Amazon Freevee series – which the streamer has already renewed for season 3 – will return in the fall of 2023. The new episodes will pick up after season 1’s cliffhanger ending, which seemingly saw the screen cutter rapist abduct Maddie Bosch. The show’s three core cast members will be back, as well as a number of supporting characters from Bosch: Legacy Season 1 and Prime Video’s original Bosch series.

It wouldn’t be a Bosch series without Titus Welliver as detective-turned-pi Harry Bosch. Welliver will be back for season 2, along with Mimi Rogers as his occasional ally, occasional nemesis Honey Chandler. Plus, Madison Lintz returns as Harry’s daughter Maddie, who is following in her dad’s footsteps as an LAPD officer.

A fresh face will be joining the Bosch: Legacy cast when the show returns for season 2 on Amazon Freevee. Actor Max Martini will play a new character named Don Ellis.

Martini’s character is a vice cop in the LAPD. Detective Don Ellis is “intelligent and fierce, and not above getting down and dirty with the criminals he polices to get the job done,” according to Deadline, which reported the casting news.
Ellis is a character in author Michael Connelly’s 18th Harry Bosch novel, The Crossing. Bosch: Legacy Season 2 will draw from that book. It follows former LAPD detective Harry Bosch – now working as a Pi – as he teams up to investigate the case of a man who may have been wrongly accused of murder. Bosch’s investigation soon leads right to the heart of the police department.

A major horror hit from ’77, Ruby surprised all that made it including its director Curtis Harrington, who struggled with an interfering producer for control of the set. Despite everything, star Piper Laurie still shines, and there’s some good atmosphere — for an Exorcist rip-off, it’s not bad.

Vocalion have the rare ability to continuously satisfy. Not only does the label re-connect us to the past with essential CD reissues, but also through re-recordings of long forgotten and often overlooked classics. Vocalion’s three latest CD releases continue to exemplify these principles, and all with a certain sense of style.
Themes from The Exorcist (1974) and Flashpoint (1975) are two albums from Ray Davies and the Button Down Brass. As albums, they formed part of an essential collective, an audio treasury that would find their way into the hands of young and enthusiastic kids, particularly of those who displayed an early interest and love of both cinema and TV. They were usually the affordable route; a few weeks pocket money would often result in one of these albums making it into the comforting domain of your bedroom. Sat alongside your Geoff Love compilations, they would provide countless hours of repeated enjoyment.

Jazz music has long expressed its capacity to borrow from various, sometimes contradictory sources in order to create something which in every sense transcends the original elements. Since the earliest days of jazz as a musical form, it has been inspired by military and funeral marches; has stylishly interpreted popular songs; and even brought the classical intricacies of Wagner into the domain of swinging brasses and reeds. This multiculturalism and eclecticism of jazz likens it to cinema which, in turn, has transformed pop culture motifs into something close to the sublime and mixed ‘high’ and ‘low’ artistic gestures to remarkable effect. In the history of jazz, the evolution from ragtime or traditional tunes, to discovering the treasure trove of Broadway songs was fast and smooth. The latter influence was shared by cinema, as the history of film production quickly marched on. The emergence of ‘talkies’ in the United States meant rediscovering Broadway,...

As horror fans know better than anyone, the best way to beef up a film's mood and atmosphere is through the use of music, and few did that better than the composers who worked for Hammer Films in its heyday. Which is why we're thrilled to pass on the news that three new compilations of Hammer film soundtrack music will be made available through Silva Screen on March 28th.
Released as part of The Hammer Legacy series, "The Vampire Collection", "The Frankenstein Collection", and "The Science Fiction Collection" will feature some of the best music from the likes of Hammer composers Tristram Cary, Harry Robinson and James Bernard.
According to the official Hammer website the downloadable soundtracks will be available through iTunes and other digital retailers.

I hold Hammer Films' sole sci-fi outing Moon Zero Two (1969) in the same esteem... actually maybe 'bracket' is a better word; in the same 'bracket', then, as Stanley Donen's 1980 Sf flop Saturn 3. Both were attempting to ride the coat-tails of popular cinematic Sf outings (2001: A Space Odyssey and Alien, respectively) and both were full of interesting ideas and engaging production design under the top British talents of the day. And both are stinkers, really. In terms of 'guilty pleasure', each comes under the full penalty of the law, with Saturn 3 a hanging offence.
But in truth there's never been an Sf movie quite like Moon Zero Two, and perhaps it would take a company (such as Hammer then was) that knows absolutely nothing about sci-fi to even think of coming up with a 'space western' six years before the cameras rolled on Star Wars.

Blu-Ray Rating: 3.0/5.0 Chicago – “The French Connection” is one of those rare movies that’s always better than I remember it to be. Not that I think poorly of William Friedkin’s masterful procedural, a multiple Oscar winner and game-changer in the world of detective cinema, but that it’s a film that blows me away every time see it. So why did William Friedkin have to mess with the picture?
Maybe I’m too much of a purist, but I’m not alone in responding very negatively to the unusual video tampering done by William Friedkin on his amazing “The French Connection,” the winner for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Screenplay, and Best Director. Both Jeffrey Wells and Glenn Kenny have expressed similar disappointment in Friedkin’s remastering for arguably one of the best films of the ’70s.

When you start screwing around with classic films you are bound to piss folks off and Blu-ray has opened up the opportunity far more than anyone would have originally imagined. By presenting high-definition transfers of older films you are bound to get more film grain which opens up the question of whether or not the studio should do a little bit of Dnr to reduce the noise. This was a big beef a few had with Fox's Blu-ray for Patton as many thought it turned the film into an all-too-perfect plastic picture. I never saw that Blu-ray, but it is what I have heard. Strangely enough you will often hear complaints from the same corners complaining about too much grain. Go figure. Next you have the Lucas-effect. When George Lucas went in and re-imagined the original Star Wars trilogy he left fans in the cold and a suitable version...
