Franklin is a biographical drama miniseries based on a 2005 novel titled A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France, and the Birth of America by Stacy Schiff and adapted for television by Kirk Ellis and Howard Korder. The Apple TV+ series follows the story of the Founding Father of the United States Benjamin Franklin as he spends eight years in France trying to convince King Louis XVI to support the United States in the American Revolutionary War.

Exclusive: Paterson Joseph (Wonka) has signed on to star alongside Cameron Ashplant and Marc Duret in Bet Your Bottom Dollar — a British indie drama marking the narrative debut of documentary filmmaker Brandon Ashplant.

Bet Your Bottom Dollar follows a young British man, Jack (Cameron Ashplant), as he travels in Southern France. As a result of his severe gambling addiction, he finds himself indebted to the French betting firm Parier24. The journey of self-discovery that he embarks on proves to be life changing. Paterson will play the Parier24 employee Victor, with Duret as his colleague Francois.

Pic is being produced by Golden Goat Films with support from Guernsey Arts. It’s slated for release in 2023.

The latest addition to Outlander‘s Season 2 cast is a real giant in Hollywood. (Well, a half-giant.)

Frances de la Tour, known for her portrayal of towering Beauxbatons headmistress/half-giantess Madame Maxime in the Harry Potter films, will play Mother Hildegarde in upcoming episodes of the Starz series, the network announced Tuesday.

New Outlander Season 2 Bringing On Jamie’s Past Girlfriend For Action,New Spoiler
According to a recent report from TV Line, the Outlander season 2 folks have decided to include Jamie's past girlfriend, Annalise de Marillac, to the mix. She will be played by French actress, Margaux Chatelier (left). Annalise is described as being beautiful and charming. Additionally, they are also bringing on a new character, named Monsieur Joseph Duverney, who is described as being well-dressed, middle-aged Minister of Finance to Louis Xv. Duverney and Jamie will become competitors at chess. Joseph will be played by actor, Marc Duret. The film is titled At All Costs, or originally A Tout Prix in French, and it actually won awards at Liege International Film Festival (Audience Award) and Pentedattilo Film Festival (Best Thriller). While it does have a political story, it's still a solid thriller, made for only $10K. The short stars Franck Sarrabas, Pascal Henault, Simon Frenay, Marc Duret, Bruno Henry, Fatima Adoum and Onna Clairin.
