Dua Lipa made a show-stopping entrance at the 2023 Met Gala.
Her jewels were just as eye-catching as the vintage Chanel dress she wore, designed by the late Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel’s 1992 fall/winter collection.
The 27-year-old Grammy-winner dazzled in a massive Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace, weighing more than 200 carats. She also accessorized her look, styled by Lorenzo Posocco, with a 9-carat ring.

Joe Biden took a playful jab at the Toronto Maple Leafs during his first official visit to Canada on Friday.
While delivering a Parliament speech to members of the House of Commons, the U.S. President listed sports as one of the ways in which the two countries are connected.
“Our labour unions cross borders. So do our sports leagues. Baseball, basketball, hockey, listen to this, hockey,” Biden said. “I have to say, I like your teams except the Leafs.”

Mark Wahlberg had a huge surprise for Toronto’s Yorkville-based gym-goers on Tuesday morning.
The actor stopped by the neighbourhood’s F45 Training pre-sunrise session, sharing snaps and a video clip from the intense workout.
Wahlberg, who is a major investor in the fitness company that specializes in Hiit-based circuit training, posed with a young man in one video.
He explained how the youngster in question had just completed his very first F45 workout, asking him how he found it before telling him he’d “killed it.”
Wahlberg told the camera, “We’re at F45 every day, team training, life changing. Now we’re in Yorkville, Canada, next stop: Coming soon.”

We do not do a love of sports related cinema content here but Tough Guy The Bob Probert Story is about hockey so it is our patriotic duty to oblige it. Canadian hockey player Bob Probert was one of the toughest bastards the league has seen and will ever see. His fights, especially his bouts with mighty mite Tie Domi, are the stuff of legend. His sudden death eight years was a emotional hit on the league and fans everywhere. Here in Canada, Geordie Day's documentary Tough Guy The Bob Probert Story will air on Superchannel on December 14th. We have accepted the offer to share an exclusive clip with you today from that doc. On July 5, 2010, legendary NHL tough...

Whether you've been waiting for it or didn't expect it, here comes the time to express my thoughts on Battle of the Blades, a reality show shining by its presence alongside another reality show called Dragons' Den in CBC's schedule grid.
For those who don't know, the show (hosted by Ron Maclean and Kurt Browning), which is recorded live at the Maple Leafs Garden in Toronto, is more or less formatted like Dancing With the Stars and Dancing on Ice, a British reality show in which celebrities are paired up with a figure skater. Moreover, eight former NHL stars are paired up with eight female top figure skaters. Each week, Canadians decide which couple survive after the first performance (Sunday at 8 Pm) and which ones go in the bottom 2 the following day (Monday at 8 Pm) in order to perform for their survival.
By the way, before I start telling my opinion,...

Not to be outdone by the 2010 Vancouver/Whistler Olympic Games on rival CTV, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. is set to roll out winter sports-themed TV programming.
The Canadian pubcaster has ordered a sitcom pilot from E1 Television and Serendipity Point Films based on the popular Canadian curling movie "Men With Brooms," the directorial debut for actor Paul Gross ("Due South").
The 2002 homegrown comedy starred Gross, Leslie Nielsen and Molly Parker as part of a curling team reuniting to capture the national trophy. Gross will share executive producer credits on the CBC pilot and co-star, while Paul Mather ("Corner Gas") will pen the script about four regular joes hanging out at the local curling rink.
"Curling is something everyone in Canada is familiar with, a strange sport in quirky rinks where people can come and go and tell different stories," Mather said of the sitcom's premise.
